In this study, we tackle the issue of application collusion, which involves multiple apps working together to achieve malicious goals that they couldn’t achieve individually. The current security model of Android, which focuses on permissions, doesn’t effectively address this threat because it only mitigates risks associated with individual apps. To address this limitation, we carried out an extensive analysis of features to identify the key Android permissions utilized by colluding app-pairs. We propose an approach to classify collusive app-pairs using the DBSCAN clustering algorithm. Our results provide valuable insights into the relationship between specific Android permission sets and the malicious activities performed by colluding app-pairs. We identified 12 permissions as the most important features contributing to the classification of collusive app-pairs. We also identified 4 distinct clusters of colluding Android app-pairs. © ICST Institute for computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

Dynamic effects in industrial logistics demand more creative solutions towards the pursuit of efficiency and agility in evolving environments. Though static path-planning and taskallocation algorithms have provided the basis for how autonomous vehicles are guided within structured environments, those approaches usually fail to contend with indeterminacy outside of their modelled world, where there is dynamic obstacle appearance and changing task requirements, thus raising inefficiencies and costs of operations. To address these issues, the paper introduces a new multi-agent coordination system that uses a hybrid A∗ algorithm, integrating path planning with sophisticated detection methods for dynamic obstacles and improving superior task allocation. The system is supposed to provide improvements in real-time coordination in industries of autonomous vehicles to achieve efficient management of tasks and paths in changing environments. We integrate the latest in machine learning techniques for improved and real-time updates within the changes of the vehicle routing process based on both immediate sensory input and environmental interactions. Simulations show that our system performs the task much faster than classic systems: up to 30% improvement in completing tasks compared with classic models, and an average improvement of 25% in allround energy efficiency. It intelligently integrates machine learning techniques with real-time data processing. With the ability to scale up or down, or to adapt itself, this system addresses the chief challenges existing methods face and could revolutionize logistics operations within any industry. © 2024 IEEE.

On the one hand, to model experts' preferences in group decision-making, intuitionistic reciprocal preference relations have widely been used because they allow for accommodating hesitation degrees, which are inherent to all decision-making processes. On the other hand, an optimization of information granularity distribution has recently been applied to establish consensus during group decision-making processes. Concretely, a symmetric and uniform distribution of information granularity has been considered for intuitionistic reciprocal preference relations. However, there exist other protocols of information granularity distribution that could be used. Therefore, we aim to analyze all the information granularity distribution protocols and determine their effectiveness in building consensus through intuitionistic reciprocal preference relations. The performance of the different protocols is discussed by conducting some numerical experiments that help provide insights into the effectiveness of the protocols to build consensus. © 2024 IEEE.

In this current century,most industries are moving towards automation,where human intervention is dramatically *** revolution leads to industrial revolution 4.0,which uses the Internet of Things(IoT)and wireless sensor networks(WSN).With its associated applications,this IoT device is used to compute the receivedWSN data from devices and transfer it to remote locations for *** general,WSNs,the gateways are a long distance from the base station(BS)and are communicated through the gateways nearer to the *** the gateway,which is closer to the BS,energy drains faster because of the heavy load,which leads to energy issues around the *** the sensors are battery-operated,either replacement or recharging of those sensor node batteries is not possible after it is deployed to their corresponding *** that situation,energy plays a vital role in sensor *** reducing the network energy consumption and increasing the network lifetime,this paper proposed an efficient cluster head selection using Improved Social spider Optimization with a Rough Set(ISSRS)and routing path selection to reduce the network load using the Improved Grey wolf optimization(IGWO)approach.(i)Using ISSRS,the initial clusters are formed with the local nodes,and the cluster head is chosen.(ii)Load balancing through routing path selection using *** simulation results prove that the proposed optimization-based approaches efficiently reduce the energy through load balancing compared to existing systems in terms of energy efficiency,packet delivery ratio,network throughput,and packet loss percentage.

Recently, there has been significant progress in Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) image reconstruction, yet there remains room for enhancing both speed and quality in these reconstructions. Deep Learning (DL) offers a promising avenue due to its capacity to handle intricate nonlinear functions. This study introduces DL-based ECT image reconstruction model based on Residual UNet and termed as ECT_ResUNet. A sizable dataset containing permittivity distribution and corresponding capacitance measurements was created to train and evaluate the proposed model. The ECT_ResUNet processes modulated capacitance vectors, representing them as 66×66 images. The model’s effectiveness and practicality were assessed using unseen samples, demonstrating precise image reconstruction with an average Image Error (IE) of 0.0918 and Correlation Coefficient (CC) of 0.9527. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

This research endeavors to design a predictive model to forecast stock prices using a Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM) regressor, specifically emphasizing the adjusted closing price to mitigate the autocorrelation issues intrinsic to time series data. The investigation encompasses a 12-month duration of historical stock data, integrating two technical indicators, namely Exponential Moving Averages (EMA-5 and EMA-10), to augment predictive precision. Gradient Boosting, recognized for its proficiency in managing intricate and non-linear data patterns, was employed to forecast forthcoming stock prices. Critical performance indicators, including Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), and the Coefficient of Determination (R2), played a role in evaluating model accuracy, attaining an R2 score of 0.99, thereby signifying an almost perfect correlation between actual and predicted prices. Beyond numerical assessments, visual examinations through scatter plots, residual plots, and prediction error distribution further elucidated the model's efficiency. The findings reveal that the amalgamation of Gradient Boosting with Technical Indicators such as EMA-5 and EMA-10, coupled with an emphasis on the adjusted closing price, proves exceptionally effective for stock price forecasting. This methodology achieved an accuracy rate nearing 99%, illustrating its substantial promise for stock market prediction and its proficiency in alleviating autocorrelation challenges within time series datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

In this ground-breaking endeavor, we describe an automated skin cancer screening booth that can transform current approaches to early detection. The merging of Raspberry Pi-controlled technology with cutting-edge Artificial Neural Network (ANN) models forms the basis of our groundbreaking breakthrough. The booth uses high-resolution imaging sensors to acquire detailed photographs of the user's skin, which are then analyzed in real-time by an ANN. The ability to identify potentially malignant anomalies in a timely and precise manner is made possible by this combination. In public places, user contact is facilitated by the use of an intuitive touchscreen interface, which ensures both accessibility and convenience of use. The ANN model, trained on a wide variety of data, is very good at differentiating between normal and malignant skin diseases, with the findings being instantly shown on the interface. Beyond its technological capabilities, our technology bears the prospect of broad application, which will turn screening for skin cancer into a preventative healthcare tool available to everyone. This all-encompassing strategy highlights the significance of early detection and argues for a solution that is both scalable and effective at the crossroads of technology and public health. © 2024 IEEE.

The COVID-19 outbreak has significantly disrupted the agricultural system in India. In spite of this, the most recent quarterly GDP forecasts post-COVID scenario demonstrate the tenacity and durability of the Indian agricultural sector, which is anticipated to be the only sector to record a positive growth rate of 4% for fiscal years (FY) 2020 and 2021. Similarly, growth for the most recent quarter is projected to have been 5.89%, representing a reduction of 2.4% point. In this context, our goal is to compile a summary of the early evidence on the impact of COVID-19 on the agricultural sector in India, including production, marketing, and consumption, and then to design a set of pragmatic strategies to recover and thrive after the pandemic. According to the survey’s findings, the pandemic has disrupted production and marketing through labour and logistical restrictions, while the negative income shock has restricted access to markets and increased food commodity prices, altering consumption patterns. The pandemic caused great emotional, social, economic, and bodily harm to everyone involved in India’s agriculture industry. The state has responded to the crisis by seizing the opportunity it presents and launching a variety of programmes and necessary changes. We suggest a ten-point plan that includes social safety nets, family farming, the trading of buffer stock, staggered procurement, and secondary agriculture in order to revitalise and prosper after the epidemic. © 2024, CRC Press/Balkema. With the increasing popularity of live streaming platforms, there is an imperative need for robust methods for identifying individuals in real-time. The proposed system utilizes Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) computer vision algorithms to identify faces in live streams and match them against a pre-existing database of known individuals. Additionally, the system employs deep learning and supervised learning techniques along with various types of CNN to achieve robust facial recognition in diverse lighting and environmental conditions. The system's accuracy is evaluated using various performance metrics, including precision, recall, and F1-score. The results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves high accuracy in person identification during real-time live streams. This system holds potential applications in a variety of domains, including security, entertainment, and social media. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent times, face recognition is a kind of biometric authentication which is widely used for security purpose in many areas like image processing, pattern recognition. However, recognizing the human face was very difficult as the poses in the input images vary, various conditions of light, brightness, expressions, ages. To overcome from it, a proposed method was introduced in this paper known as Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (RCNN). The main advantage of using the proposed method is it will minimize the training process time as it consisting of two fully connected layers namely classifier and regression layer. Initially, the proposed method was implemented on ORL database consisting of 40 classes, then the images in the database undergoes image resizing and enhancing in the preprocessing stage. Where, Image resizing id done to reduce images size so that every image is same in size that will minimize the processing time and image enhancing was done to adjust the brightness of the image. In further, for extracting the features from preprocessed images, CNN is used, so that extracted features are given to the classification stage to detect the face of human or not. In detecting the faces, proposed Faster RCNN achieved high accuracy of 98.64% when compared with other existing methods like IFC, EFRA and VGG16. © 2024 IEEE.
