We present a unified probabilistic formulation for diffusion-based image editing, where a latent variable is edited in a task-specific manner and generally deviates from the corresponding marginal distribution induced by the original stochastic or ordinary differential equation (SDE or ODE). Instead, it defines a corresponding SDE or ODE for editing. In the formulation, we prove that the Kullback-Leibler divergence between the marginal distributions of the two SDEs gradually decreases while that for the ODEs remains as the time approaches zero, which shows the promise of SDE in image editing. Inspired by it, we provide the SDE counterparts for widely used ODE baselines in various tasks including inpainting and image-to-image translation, where SDE shows a consistent and substantial improvement. Moreover, we propose SDE-Drag - a simple yet effective method built upon the SDE formulation for point-based content dragging. We build a challenging benchmark (termed DragBench) with open-set natural, art, and AI-generated images for evaluation. A user study on DragBench indicates that SDE-Drag significantly outperforms our ODE baseline, existing diffusion-based methods, and the renowned DragGAN. Our results demonstrate the superiority and versatility of SDE in image editing and push the boundary of diffusion-based editing methods. The investigation examines the behavior of a relativistic particle in the field of a Gaussian laser pulse in 3+1 dimensions through an approach based on the method of coupled parameters within Lobachevsky geometry. The dynamics of an electron in a modulated laser pulse (in terms of amplitude, phase, and polarization) are analyzed, and the optimal conditions for phase synchronization of particle acceleration in an intense laser field of 1022 W/cm2 are determined. The role of a constant homogeneous magnetic field in stabilizing trajectories and enhancing the directed radiation of particles, including polarization and synchrotron effects, is investigated. Special attention is given to the spectral characteristics of radiation and the angular distribution of power, paving the way for the development of efficient radiation sources in high-energy physics and laser technologies. Group decision-making is a daily process where a group of experts has to choose from a set of alternatives. To help this group of experts, methods were developed that allowed them to recommend an alternative or a group of alternatives from the information generated by the experts, these methods were called Group Decision-Making methods. Nonetheless, some Group Decision-Making methods have some problems, such as evaluating alternatives in a general way. This problem leads to a loss of information because it is not possible to evaluate each alternative in detail and it may be the case that one alternative is better than another on one criterion but not on another. Another problem is that experts have priority for each criterion and for one expert one criterion may be more important than another and vice versa. To solve these two problems, in this novel method, we propose a consensual multi-criteria Group Decision-Making system, where experts can customise the order of the criteria. With the order of each expert, the method creates an aggregation operator for each criterion. Moreover, this method performs a consensus analysis for each criterion, so that there is a minimum consensus on each criterion. In this way, a solution is obtained that allows the set of alternatives to be evaluated in a detailed way and each criterion has the correct importance because the experts are the ones who create the order of importance. © 2023 IEEE.

In a digital society, professionals who are professionally competent and have a variety of skills are increasingly in demand. Digital skills are important and form the basis of the digital competence of specialists. The purpose of the study is to analyse regulatory documents in the context of the development of digital competence of specialists, to develop, substantiate and implement the trajectory of its development in a higher education institution. A questionnaire for self-assessment by bachelor's and master's students and practitioners of their own level of digital competence has been developed, which contains 12 descriptors and their detailed description. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents and the survey results, the author outlines the need to include disciplines in the training programmes for specialists that would contribute to the development of their digital competence. The authors have developed a technology for the system of development of digital competence of specialists. The design stage is substantiated, which includes three blocks: academic disciplines, self-education and professional self-development. The role of professional disciplines in digital technologies in the development of digital competence of specialists is determined. The study emphasises that continuity and continuity in the training of specialists in the context of the use of digital technologies in various aspects of activity is important in this development. © 2024 IEEE.

Questions of mutual covering and equivalence of cones of monotone functions and the corresponding estimates of their majorants are studied. Two types of coverings are considered: pointwise and integral. They correspond to pointwise and integral estimates of the majorants on these cones. The results obtained are used to derive formulas that allow estimating pointwise and integral majorants of decreasing rearrangements for generalized Riesz and Bessel potentials. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
