High node mobility, rapid topology changes provide specific challenges for vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), which have an immediate impact on the routing protocols' performance. Traditional approaches, like the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol, provide proactive route management but fail to fully account for critical dynamic parameters like link stability, relative vehicle speed, node distance, and bandwidth availability. This work proposes a hybrid method combining OLSR with Q-learning to facilitate real-time adaptive routing. The model leverages dynamic metrics to proactively evaluate links while employing Q-learning to optimize routing decisions based on rewards computed from performance factors like delay, packet loss rate, and link duration. Simulation results demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms classic OLSR. The improvements include reduced packet loss rates, increased average throughput, lower average latency, and a reduction in control overhead. These findings confirm that integrating dynamic metrics and adaptive learning effectively addresses the challenges posed by VANETs.

The modern space industry requires autonomous and high-precision control systems for scientific and commercial missions. Strapdown inertial navigation systems based on laser gyroscopes play a key role in spacecraft control, especially in environments where satellite navigation is unavailable. In this paper, ring lasers with an active medium made of a helium-neon mixture, their design and operating modes are investigated. The influence of voltage on the ignition electrodes (4.2-5 kV) on the breakdown time of the active medium has been analyzed. It was found that increasing the voltage reduces the breakdown time, providing reliable activation of gyroscopes. The experimental results allowed to determine the optimal ignition parameters that increase operation reliability and reduce production losses. This contributes to the development of highly efficient spacecraft control systems, opening up new prospects for deep space exploration and control of satellite systems.

Growing demands in today’s industry results in increasingly stringent performance and throughput specifications. For accurate positioning of high-precision motion systems, feedforward control plays a crucial role. Nonetheless, conventional model-based feedforward approaches are no longer sufficient to satisfy the challenging performance requirements. An attractive method for systems with repetitive motion tasks is iterative learning control (ILC) due to its superior performance. However, for systems with non-repetitive motion tasks, ILC is generally not applicable, despite of some recent promising advances. In this paper, we aim to explore the use of deep learning to address the task flexibility constraint of ILC. For this purpose, a novel Task Analogy based Imitation Learning (TAIL)-ILC approach is developed. To benchmark the performance of the proposed approach, a simulation study is presented which compares the TAIL-ILC to classical model-based feedforward strategies and existing learning-based approaches, such as neural network based feedforward learning.

In recent years,Power Shell has increasingly been reported as appearing in a variety of cyber ***,because the PowerShell language is dynamic by design and can construct script fragments at different levels,state-of-the-art static analysis based Power Shell attack detection approaches are inherently vulnerable to *** this paper,we design the first generic,effective,and lightweight deobfuscation approach for PowerShell *** precisely identify the obfuscated script fragments,we define obfuscation based on the differences in the impacts on the abstract syntax trees of PowerShell scripts and propose a novel emulation-based recovery ***,we design the first semantic-aware PowerShell attack detection system that leverages the classic objective-oriented association mining algorithm and newly identifies 31 semantic *** experimental results on 2342 benign samples and 4141 malicious samples show that our deobfuscation method takes less than 0.5 s on average and increases the similarity between the obfuscated and original scripts from 0.5%to 93.2%.By deploying our deobfuscation method,the attack detection rates for Windows Defender and VirusTotal increase substantially from 0.33%and 2.65%to 78.9%and 94.0%,***,our detection system outperforms both existing tools with a 96.7%true positive rate and a 0%false positive rate on average.

Sentiment summary generation task is very valuable in social media, which can extract different aspects from people’s evaluation of products or services, such as the quality of products, and generate summarized opinionated sentiment summaries. And nowadays, sentiment summarization still suffers from insufficient contextual information capture and incorrect and comprehensive aspect extraction. In this paper, we propose a new strategy to solve the above problems: firstly, MILNET is used to automatically identify aspects related to a product or service from a large number of user reviews, and then the results are inputted into GCN, which is used to enhance the importance of contextual words close to the aspect; meanwhile, E-MABA is utilized for further optimization of the model on aspect extraction. By conducting a large number of experiments on the OPOSUM dataset and comparing the existing state-of-the-art methods, it is found that our method achieves better performance than other methods, proving the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposed strategy.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm for detecting artifacts in long-term video-EEG monitoring data in the problem of diagnosing cerebral ischemia after subarachnoid hemorrhage. The algorithm is based on a threshold detector using the smoothed optical flow value. The optical flow is calculated from the video frames of long-term video-EEG monitoring. We conducted a computational experiment that showed the following: (a) artifacts are detected with accuracy acceptable for diagnosing cerebral ischemia during synchronous analysis of video data and EEG signals;(b) artifacts can be detected in real time. © 2023 IEEE.

Optimal Sensor Placement for Full-Set TDOA Localization Accounting for Sensor Location Errors

The positioning accuracy of a signal source is influenced by where the sensors are deployed. Studies in the literature for the optimal sensor placement (OSP) of localization often ignore the presence of sensor position errors. In practice, however, it is impossible to place the sensors precisely at the desired locations. This work designs OSP by accounting for the presence of Gaussian sensor position errors that are independent and identically distributed (IID), with the full set of Time Difference of Arrival measurements corrupted by Gaussian IID noise. The criterion is the A-optimality equal to the trace of the source position Cramer-Rao Bound (CRB). We show that the presence of sensor position errors introduces a multiplication factor to the same criterion for the case without sensor position errors. The latter factor is dependent on the ratio of the sensor position error power to the range difference noise power but independent of the sensor positions, implying that the A-optimality OSP in the presence of sensor position errors is the same as in the absence. To our knowledge, this is the first time such results have been derived. Simulation studies validate the derived OSP, show the minimal OSP performance gap with sensor positioning error and without, and illustrate the better source localization accuracy by OSP. © 1965-2011 IEEE.

Modular Redesign of Mechatronic Systems: Formulation of Module Specifications Guaranteeing System Dynamics Specifications

Complex mechatronic systems are typically composed of interconnected modules, often developed by independent teams. This development process challenges the verification of system specifications before all modules are integrated. To address this challenge, a modular redesign framework is proposed in this paper. Herein, first, allowed changes in the dynamics (represented by frequency response functions (FRFs)) of the redesigned system are defined with respect to the original system model, which already satisfies system specifications. Second, these allowed changes in the overall system dynamics (or system redesign specifications) are automatically translated to dynamics (FRF) specifications on module level that, when satisfied, guarantee overall system dynamics (FRF) specifications. This modularity in specification management supports local analysis and verification of module design changes, enabling design teams to work in parallel without the need to iteratively rebuild the system model to check fulfilment of system FRF specifications. A modular redesign process results that shortens time-to-market and decreases redesign costs. This study investigates the degradation mechanisms of gate oxide in n-channel MOSFETs subjected to Fowler-Nordheim constant current stress to introduce uniformly distributed defects. Different techniques were used to characterise the impact of stress-induced defects on the electrical properties of MOSFETs. The findings reveal distinct degradation behaviors, with early-stage negative shifts in threshold voltage attributed to hole trapping, transitioning to positive shifts due to interface state generation at higher electron fluence. The study also emphasises the factors that influence device performance. The results enhance our understanding of gate oxide reliability under high-field stress, as well as the mechanisms of defect creation and charge trapping in MOSFETs.
