Cloud-based Intelligence of Things is significant for Augmented Enterprise Management Systems. Data integrity auditing is challenging in the intelligence of things environment, mainly when the newer versions in the public cloud environment update existing encrypted data. The related literature on cloud-based intelligence relies on encrypted data uploading or locally handling encryption and decryption using user keys. Considering the security risk, storage constraints at the edge, and realtime environment, both approaches have limited applicability in the intelligence of things environment. This paper presents the Privacy-Aware Secure Data Auditing (PASDA) framework at the cluster head for online data integrity verification. Specifically, the users hide data files by the blinding process with a generation of their corresponding signatures, which achieves data auditing by utilizing homomorphic techniques. A novel automated self-triggering/ Self-auditing-based data integrity auditing system is proposed, which detects the changes made in the cloud-stored data and sends alert messages to the trusted primary cloud server and users. A data dynamics method is developed containing a timestamp with a pointer to store multiple versions of the same file without signatures re-generation for the whole same file. The user is revoked due to prolonged absence or detection of the missed behaviour with system or service expiry. With these data dynamics, the proposed PASDA framework allows CH to regenerate signatures of the revoked user using its membership key for cloud-based stored data access and data integrity auditing. In-depth security analysis and extensive simulations based on comparative performance evaluation attest to the benefits of the proposed PA. © 2014 IEEE.

Kidney disease (KD) is a gradually increasing global health concern. It is a chronic illness linked to higher rates of morbidity and mortality, a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and numerous other illnesses, and expensive medical expenses. The machine learning (ML) models are applied for KD prediction with higher accuracy and precision. The KD dataset has uncertainty and vague information, so, we used the neutrosophic set (NS) to deal with vague and uncertainty information in the KD dataset. The KD dataset is converted into the N-KD dataset with three membership functions: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity. Three ML models are used in this study such as logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), and k-nearest neighbor (KNN). These ML models are applied to the N-KD dataset. The results show the LR has higher accuracy and precision on the N-KD dataset than the original KD dataset. © 2025, University of New Mexico. All rights reserved.

Machine Learning(ML)-based prediction and classification systems employ data and learning algorithms to forecast target ***,improving predictive accuracy is a crucial step for informed *** the healthcare domain,data are available in the form of genetic profiles and clinical characteristics to build prediction models for complex tasks like cancer detection or *** ML algorithms,Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs)are considered the most suitable framework for many classification *** network weights and the activation functions are the two crucial elements in the learning process of an *** weights affect the prediction ability and the convergence efficiency of the *** traditional settings,ANNs assign random weights to the *** research aims to develop a learning system for reliable cancer prediction by initializing more realistic weights computed using a supervised setting instead of random *** proposed learning system uses hybrid and traditional machine learning techniques such as Support Vector Machine(SVM),Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA),Random Forest(RF),k-Nearest Neighbour(kNN),and ANN to achieve better accuracy in colon and breast cancer *** system computes the confusion matrix-based metrics for traditional and proposed *** proposed framework attains the highest accuracy of 89.24 percent using the colon cancer dataset and 72.20 percent using the breast cancer dataset,which outperforms the other *** results show that the proposed learning system has higher predictive accuracies than conventional classifiers for each dataset,overcoming previous research ***,the proposed framework is of use to predict and classify cancer patients ***,this will facilitate the effective management of cancer patients.

Optimizing crowd evacuation: evaluation of strategies for safety and efficiency

Predicting and controlling crowd dynamics in emergencies is one of the main objectives of simulated emergency exercises. However, during emergency exercises, there is often a lack of sense of danger by the actors involved and concerns about exposing real people to potentially dangerous environments. These problems impose limitations in running an emergency drill, harming the collection of valuable information for posterior analysis and decision-making. This work aims to mitigate these problems by using Agent Based Modelling (ABM) simulator to deepen the comprehension of human actions when exposed to a sudden variation in extensive crowded environmental conditions and how evacuation strategies affect evacuation performance. To assess the impact of the evacuation strategy employed, we propose a modified informed leader-flowing approach and compare it with common evacuation strategies in a simulated environment, replicating stadium benches with narrow corridors leading to different exit points. The objective is to determine the impact of each set of configurations and evacuation strategies and compare them against other established ones. Our experiments determined that agents following the crowd generally lead to a higher number of victims due to the rise of herding phenomena near the exits, which was significantly reduced when agents were guided towards the exit via knowing the exit beforehand or following leader agent with real-time information regarding exit location and exit current state, proving that relevant and controlled information in combination with Follow Leader strategies can be crucial in an emergency evacuation scenario with limited evacuation exit capabi and distribution. © The Author(s) 2024.

The challenge of class imbalance in datasets is a prevalent issue in machine learning, often resulting in biased and inaccurate predictions. This study investigates the effectiveness of different data balancing techniques in enhancing classifier accuracy when applied to an imbalanced Indonesian National Scientific Manuscript dataset. Specifically, we examine how various classifiers respond to three widely used data balancing methods: Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE), Random Under-sampling, and Random Over-sampling. We assess the performance of six classifiers-Support Vector Machine (SVM), Logistic Regression (LR), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB), Naïve Bayes (NB), and Gradient Boosting (GB)-when these techniques are applied. The analysis reveals diverse outcomes, with some classifiers showing substantial accuracy gains, while others experience moderate or even adverse effects. The findings underscore the importance of selecting an appropriate balancing method based on the dataset's characteristics and the specific classification algorithm employed in the knowledge classification process. © 2024 IEEE.

An ultra efficient 2:1 multiplexer using bar-shaped pattern in atomic silicon dangling bond technology

As CMOS technology approaches its physical and technical limits, alternative technologies such as nanotechnology or quantum computing are needed to overcome the challenges of lithography, transistor scaling, interconnects, and miniaturization. This article introduces a novel nanotechnology that uses atomic-scale silicon dangling bonds (ASDB) to create high-performance, low-power, nanoscale logic circuits. DBs are atoms that can form basic logic gates on a silicon surface using a scanning tunneling microscope device. ASDB can also be an alternative to the existing complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The article also proposes a new bar-shaped pattern to design gates and logic circuits with ASDB nano tecnolgoy. The bar-shaped pattern improves the reliability of the output, reduces the area and power consumption, and solves the problem of interatomic energy effects of ASDB. The article demonstrates the efficiency of the bar-shaped pattern by implementing two-input gates such as AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR, XNOR, and a 2:1 multiplexer with ASDB. The article also uses a powerful tool called SiQAD to simulate and verify the performance of the proposed structures with ASDB. According to the simulation results, the proposed logic gates are more energy efficient, stable, and compact than the previous structures. Wireless sensor network (WSN) applications are added day by day owing to numerous global uses (by the military, for monitoring the atmosphere, in disaster relief, and so on). Here, trust management is a main challenge. Sensor nodes are important in wireless sensor networks, but they are easily depleted because of their short lifespan from continuous sensing activity and low battery capacity. So efficient energy utilization is a challenging task in a WSN. To minimize energy loss, clustering with an optimum path selection process is needed to retain energy in sensor nodes. This manuscript proposes multi-objective Pelican Optimization Algorithm (POA) routing to maintain energy efficiency and minimize transmission distances in wireless sensor networks. A cluster head (CH) is selected by using a Separable Convolution Neural Network (SCNN). Simulation outcomes prove the proposed technique attains 22.3% and 25.04% improvements in energy consumption when compared to the Multi-Objective CH Energy-aware Optimized Routing Approach at WSN (MOCH-EORA-WSN) and Multiple Optimum Cluster Head Multi-Objective Grasshopper Optimization with Harmony-search at WSN (MOCH-MOGOH-WSN), respectively. © 2024 Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea.
