Analysis and reaction to natural disasters have made extensive use of deep learning methods using semantic segmentation networks. These implementations’ foundation is based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which are capable of precisely identifying and locating the relevant areas of interest within satellite imagery or other types of remote sensing data. This helps with rescue planning, restoration efforts, and disaster evaluation. Difficulties in the provision of healthcare services, due to natural disasters, are made worse by the existing problems prevalent in most healthcare systems. The aim of this research is to propose a novel technique in climate change–based disaster management with their public healthcare analysis using cloud computing with deep learning techniques. In this research, the cloud network has been used in LiDAR image collection for climate change–based disaster-struck regions and their public healthcare analysis. This collected image has been classified and optimized using a deep Markov Q-transfer adversarial neural network with binary grey whale swarm optimization. Experimental analysis has been carried out for various disaster management–based public healthcare datasets in terms of classification accuracy, specificity, NSE, sensitivity, and F-1 score. The proposed technique attained a classification accuracy of 97%, F-1 score of 94%, specificity of 96%, sensitivity of 95%, and NSE of 57%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Steel Surface Defect Detection Using Learnable Memory Vision Transformer

Botnets have become a severe security threat not only to the Internet but also to the devices connected to it. Factors like the exponential growth of IoT, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ever-larger number of cybercriminals are incentivising the growth of botnets in this domain. The recent outbreak of botnets like Dark Nexus (derived from Qbot and Mirai), Mukashi, LeetHozer, Hoaxcalls, etc. shows the alarming rate at which this threat is converging. The botnets have attributes that make them an excellent platform for malicious activities in IoT devices used by organisations to safeguard the personal and confidential data of their customers, employees, and business partners. The IoT devices have built-in sensors or actuators that can be exploited to monitor or control the physical environment of the entities connected to them, thereby violating the fundamental concept of privacy-by-design of these devices. In this paper, we design and describe a modular botnet framework for IoT. The framework uses an enhanced centralised architecture associated with a novel ‘Domain Fluxing Technique’. The proposed framework will provide insights into how privacy in IoT devices can be incorporated at design time to check the sensors and actuators in these devices against malicious exploitation, consequently preserving privacy. © 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

The landscape of the Internet of Things is evolving rapidly. The security and efficiency of data handling and device management are multifaceted and complex problems, which are only exacerbated by the huge volumes of data and the sprawling growth of IoT deployments. The goal of this paper is to outline innovative solutions to the most pressing issues in the field through the use of advanced cryptographic protocols and scalable management systems. The integrity and maintainability of IoT ecosystems face threats not only from quantum-capable attackers but also from vendor lock-in, which necessitates special attention. First, the Secure Data Retrieval Encryption system will be presented, which is based on the Learning with Errors assumptions, Self-Managed Public Key Infrastructure, Next-generation Hashed Elliptic Curve Protocol, and Dynamic Unclonable Physical Properties. In a single round of queries, SDRE enables forward security and efficient searches defined by authorized clients. This work presents a distinctive innovation. Initially, the search process was accelerated greatly, and the data being transmitted and decrypted was implemented based on secure computation. In addition, the Self-Managed Public Key Infrastructure protocol is a simple and standard-acquiescent answer for changing control between IoT service providers. SMS-PKI seeks to diminish this necessity of manual effort, especially in light of the massive upsurge in IoT deployments. SM-PKI also mechanizes the IoT PKI credentials updating and trusted domains process, allowing multiple domains to be run on one client apparatus. Tamarin is used to prove security and efficiency, which demonstrates the necessity of using SM-PKI to maintain desired security properties with the minimal cost and device overhead. Finally, a universal authentication scheme grounded on edge computing and involving Next-generation Hashed Elliptic Curve Protocol and Dynamic Unclonable Physical Properties will be shown. PLD-Det: plant leaf disease detection in real time using an end-to-end neural network approach based on improved YOLOv7

In order to maintain sustainable agriculture, it is vital to monitor plant health. Since all species of plants are prone to characteristic diseases, it necessitates regular surveillance to search for any symptoms, which is utterly challenging and time-consuming. Besides, farmers may struggle to identify the type of plant disease and its potential symptoms. Hence, the interest in research like image-based computer-aided automated plant leaf disease detection by analyzing the early symptoms has increased enormously. However, limitations in the plant leaf image database, for instance, unfitting backgrounds, blurry images, and so on, sometimes cause underprivileged feature extraction, misclassification, and overfitting issues in existing models. As a result, we have proposed a real-time plant leaf disease detection architecture incorporating proposed PLD-Det model, which is based on improved YOLOv7 with the intention of assisting farmers while reducing the issues in existing models. The architecture has been trained on the widely used PlantVillage dataset, which resulted in an accuracy of 98.53%. Furthermore, SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) values have been analyzed as a unified measure of feature significance. According to the experimental findings, the proposed PLD-Det model, which is an improved YOLOv7 architecture, outperformed the original YOLOv7 model in test accuracy by approximately 4%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

The purpose of this article is to propose Stability-based Energy-Efficient Link-State Hybrid Routing(S-ELHR),a low latency routing proto-col that aims to provide a stable mechanism for routing in unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV).The S-ELHR protocol selects a number of network nodes to create a Connected Dominating Set(CDS)using a parameter known as the Stability Metric(SM).The SM considers the node’s energy usage,connectivity time,and node’s *** the highest SM nodes are chosen to form *** node declares a Willingness to indicate that it is prepared to serve as a relay for its neighbors,by employing its own energy state.S-ELHR is a hybrid protocol that stores only partial topological information and routing tables on CDS *** of relying on the routing information at each intermediary node,it uses source routing,in which a route is generated on-demand,and data packets contain the addresses of the nodes the packet will transit.A route recovery technique is additionally utilized,which first locates a new route to the destination before forwarding packets along *** simulation for various network sizes and mobility speeds,the efficiency of S-ELHR is *** findings demonstrate that S-ELHR performs better than Optimized Link State Routing(OLSR)and Energy Enhanced OLSR(EE-OLSR)in terms of packet delivery ratio,end-to-end delay,and energy consumption.

Over the past few years,the application and usage of Machine Learning(ml)techniques have increased exponentially due to continuously increasing the size of data and computing *** the popularity of ml techniques,only a few research studies have focused on the application of ml especially supervised learning techniques in Requirement engineering(RE)activities to solve the problems that occur in RE *** authors focus on the systematic mapping of past work to investigate those studies that focused on the application of supervised learning techniques in RE activities between the period of 2002–*** authors aim to investigate the research trends,main RE activities,ml algorithms,and data sources that were studied during this ***-five research studies were selected based on our exclusion and inclusion *** results show that the scientific community used 57 *** those algorithms,researchers mostly used the five following ml algorithms in RE activities:Decision Tree,Support Vector Machine,Naïve Bayes,K-nearest neighbour Classifier,and Random *** results show that researchers used these algorithms in eight major RE *** activities are requirements analysis,failure prediction,effort estimation,quality,traceability,business rules identification,content classification,and detection of problems in requirements written in natural *** selected research studies used 32 private and 41 public data *** most popular data sources that were detected in selected studies are the Metric Data Programme from NASA,Predictor Models in Software engineering,and iTrust Electronic Health Care System.
