The purpose of this study is to find out what makes Generation Z students accept and use Canva as a tool for making presentation materials. The conceptual framework of this study is the combination of "Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)"and the "Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2)". "Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)"used for data analyzation. This research aims to understand the dynamics of Canva acceptance among students. The findings show that enjoyment, fun, and pleasure in using Canva, combined with its creative tools and design-centric approach, significantly resonate with Gen Z's preference for aesthetics. This research highlights that Canva is favored by students for creating engaging presentations. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper compares video and audio QoE of OFDMA multi-user transmission and reliable groupcast over wireless LAN. We assume video and audio transmission to several terminals simultaneously. As a reliable groupcast method, we employ Unsolicited Retry, a technique of IEEE 802.11aa GroupCast with Retries. We utilize IEEE 802.11ax for OFDMA transmission. We evaluate application-level QoS by computer simulation. We then assess QoE through a subjective experiment with video and audio streams generated by the output timing obtained from the simulation. We notice that each method has a situation to be applied appropriately.

Study on the identification and classification of fish is challenging and valuable because of its role in advancing the marine and agricultural fields. This research has benefits interms of monitoring fish populations and ecosystems in a particular area. Furthermore, this research helps monitor fish that are considered threatened or endangered so that it makes iteasier to map prohibited areas for fishing. This research aims to know performance of MobileNetV2 and VGG16 with parameter tuning process by identifying the value of batch size, epoch, learning rate, and optimizer for fish image dataset. The proposed research phase consists of five main stages, including experimental setup, dataset construction, dataset preprocessing, dataset training and modelling and evaluation. As the result, VGG16 obtained the highest accuracy value. For VGG16 without fine-tuning, the testing accuracy is 98.07%. For VGG16 with fine-tuning, the testing accuracy is 96.56%. © 2022 IEEE.

Although the parking lot is equipped with CCTV surveillance, car theft incidents still occur occasionally. These thieves exploit a loophole in the system that prevents the identification of the car's brand and model upon entering and exiting the parking lot using the same ticket. Therefore, the aim of this research is to develop a system capable of detecting the brand and model of cars. The study utilizes convolutional neural network technology and specifically focuses on the EfficientNet, MobileNet, and MobileNetV2 architectures due to their low resource requirements. Training images for the study are sourced from an online marketplace for used cars, with each of the 20 car brand and model variations consisting of 100 photographs. creates a model after being processed. For the prototype, the approach is put into practice through a mobile application. This study compares EfficientNet, MobileNetV1, and MobileNetV2 as the end result. EfficientNet scored 74%, MobileNetV1 74%, and MobileNetV2 66% on the test of accuracy. The accuracy increases to 80% after the EfficientNet has been tuned. © 2023 The Authors. In this paper, we consider multi-view video and audio streaming using MPEG-DASH, which enables to transmit video tailored to the network conditions over HTTP communication. This paper uses HTTP/2 instead of HTTP/1.1, which the authors previously used. HTTP/2 manages a series of request-response exchanges called a stream, which is assigned a unique stream ID. We perform a subjective experiment under various network conditions to evaluate application-level QoS and QoE. From the evaluation results, we investigate the effect of the HTTP/2 stream on the video and audio quality of the users in the multi-view video transmission scenario.

This paper considers multi-view video and audio transmission on ICN (Information-Centric Networking)/CCN (Content-Centric Networking). Routers in ICN/CCN can cache content. Besides, the capacity of routers' caches is finite, so various cache control schemes have been proposed to improve cache efficiency. This paper presents and evaluates a new and suitable control scheme for multi-view video and audio transmission. For this purpose, we construct a network environment with Cefore. We assess application-level QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience). We then show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

In the contemporary digital era, individuals face an overwhelming challenge of searching for personalized content from a seemingly infinite pool of available options such as books, videos, articles, and movies. Simultaneously, digital content providers strive to attract and retain as many users on their platforms as possible for extended periods. This has led to the evolution of recommender systems, which aim to enhance user engagement and satisfaction by recommending content based on their preferences and interests. These systems employ sophisticated algorithms and data mining techniques to analyze user behavior and feedback, enabling them to make personalized recommendations to users, thereby improving their overall experience. In this paper, an investigation is conducted in which different models in machine learning with their combinations are evaluated to evaluate which model could give the best accuracy with actual ratings given by users. The models used are Lasso regression, XGBoost, K-nearest neighbor, surprise baseline only, SVD, SVDpp, and their combinations. The proposed ensembled model of XGBoost + surprise baseline + surprise KNN baseline + SVD + SVDpp, with the minimum value of RMSE as 1.111410 and MAPE value as 39.261054, is our best model and can serve as a reference for any future recommender system. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

This paper presents a comprehensive methodology for gender detection using hand palm images, leveraging image processing techniques and PySpark for scalable and efficient processing. The approach encompasses a meticulous image preprocessing pipeline, incorporating essential stages like grayscale conversion, the application ofthe Difference of Gaussians (DoG) filter, and adaptive histogram equalization. This approach not only refmes image features but also ensures scalability, accommodating large datasets seamlessly. After preprocessing of hand images, the VGG19 model is employed as a powerful feature extractor, utilizing its pre-trained convolutional layers to capture high-level abstract features from hand palm images. The fmal step was to train and fit the tabular data and extracted features on the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) model, which is a feedforward neural network for classification tasks in PySpark. The MLP model, with its ability to learn complex patterns, proves effective in accurately predicting gender categories based on the extracted features. Finally, the model results were 94% accuracy for training and 87% testing which indicates that the model is generalizing well to unseen data. Also, another evaluation metrics were used like Precision 0.87, Recall 0.87, Fl Score 0.87 and AUC 0.92. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, several industries have increased their demand for processing precision, automatic detection, and visualization interfaces. Therefore, to keep pace with the fourth industrial revolution, machine tool operators install a large number of sensors on machine tools to obtain more precise physical quantities during processing and use a variety of sensors to obtain measurements in various situations. However, these additional sensors on machine tools result in complicated wire layouts, which exhibit negative effects on processing. Such problems lead to the birth of wireless data transmission, which is expected to become the new standard in the future. At present, there is more and more interactive integration between relevant embedded system and the machine tool, which allows information communication between each other in the wireless domain. However, generally, the majority of machine tool operators focus on optimizing the sensing conditions during processing, but they disregard the importance of information security. In the current era of the Internet of Things (IoT), information security is regarded as a crucial factor. For the wireless communication between the IoT equipment for each machine in the machining field, the transmitted data are almost exposed within public space directly due to the loss in constraint and protection of physical wiring. Therefore, such a process can easily be intercepted by other devices that capture information on relevant status of the machine or command messages received by the controller, where intentional individual may possibly control the operating mechanism and progress of entire plant. The Instruction-Driven Game Engine (IDGE) project aims to democratize game development by enabling a large language model (LLM) to follow free-form game descriptions and generate game-play processes. The IDGE allows users to create games simply by natural language instructions, which significantly lowers the barrier for game development. We approach the learning process for IDGEs as a Next State Prediction task, wherein the model autoregressively predicts the game states given player actions. The computation of game states must be precise;otherwise, slight errors could corrupt the game-play experience. This is challenging because of the gap between stability and diversity. To address this, we train the IDGE in a curriculum manner that progressively increases its exposure to complex scenarios. Our initial progress lies in developing an IDGE for Poker, which not only supports a wide range of poker variants but also allows for highly individualized new poker games through natural language inputs. This work lays the groundwork for future advancements in transforming how games are created and played. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.
