We have previously reported spontanous formation of InGaN/GaN superlattice structure on nominal InGaN films grown by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy (PAMBE). In this work, we report on the impact of In flux on the formation and periodicity of self-assembled InxGa1-xN/InyGa1-yN superlattice structure (SASL). We show that the thickness and In composition in the InGaN layer varies by changing the In flux. These films were stucturally characterized by X-ray diffraction and simulated by globalfit software to get the thickness and In composition. The superlattice structures were confimred by scanning transmission electron microscopy and the thickness of InGaN layer and In composition were determined by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. This work can provide a method for using the SASL with better control for their optoelectronics application. © 2022 IEEE.

Aircraft avionics systems are complicated systems which involves high number of components and complex cable assembly procedure. To deal with this challenge, Augmented Reality (AR) has been proposed to be an effective method to improve assembly efficiency and to reduce error rates. In this paper, the authors developed AR-based guidance cable assembly and compare the impact of different modes of AR information. The results show that although AR outperformed the paper document assembly guidance, the design of AR information has distinct influence on the successful completion of the cables assembly process. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

This systematic review provides a comprehensive overview of the methods used to integrate genomic and clinical data in cancer prediction. The review includes 19 studies across various cancers, including breast, colorectal, melanoma, lung, pancreatic, and thyroid. The studies employed different methods to combine genomic and clinical data, including weighted polygenic risk scores, genetic and non-genetic risk scores, and different machine learning algorithms. The results show significant improvements in model prediction performance accuracy across multiple studies. The review highlights the potential benefits of integrating genetic and phenotypic information to improve disease risk prediction models and inform personalized healthcare strategies.

This study introduces a novel diagnostic method for schizophrenia using causal discovery and node embedding techniques on resting-state fMRI data. Data from 148 subjects (27 schizophrenia patients, 121 healthy controls) were analyzed across 116 brain regions, applying several causal discovery techniques to assess directional connectivity and uncover schizophrenia-related patterns. By combining advanced causal discovery with node embedding techniques and a rigorous data-balancing pipeline, our method improves sensitivity to subtle network variations critical for schizophrenia diagnosis. Our approach addresses key challenges in the literature: the difficulty of extracting effective neurobiological markers from noisy and complex fMRI data, the limited interpretability of connectivity networks, and the imbalance in datasets that often skews classification performance. Experimental results demonstrate the pipeline's effectiveness in overcoming imbalanced data challenges and extracting features from noisy and complex data, with Regression Dynamic Causal Modeling (RDCM) achieving the highest classification metrics, including 90.06% accuracy and 89.09% sensitivity. This method identified 15 brain regions with strong diagnostic potential, offering improved sensitivity and specificity for schizophrenia diagnosis Compared to contemporary domain techniques.

Recently, a-IGZO has advanced toward the next-generation electronics system because of its compatibility with complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and back-end-of-line (BOEL) based systems. A systematic electrical characterization of a-IGZO TFT related to reliability issues, such as positive bias temperature stress (PBTS) and negative bias temperature stress (NBTS), would entitle its integration into novel electronics systems. Unexpectedly, PBTS is characterized by the transition of positive Vth shift to negative Vth shift (ΔVth, the positive shift followed by the stress and temperature activated negative shift). This transition is attributed to charge trapping/trap-site generations and hydrogen migration to the active layer. The ΔVth shift mechanism depends on the temperature and voltage stress. On the other hand, a negative ΔVth shift has been observed during the NBTS operation and could be attributed to the hole trapping at the interface of GI/IGZO. An effective suppression of the gate leakage current has also been observed during reliability tests. Simulation results reveal a pronounced potential at the edges of source and drain regions, and considered the origin of hydrogen migration into the IGZO layer. Thermal image results also reveal the strong temperature/potential distribution at the edges of the source/drain regions, indorsing the simulation results. © 2020 IEEE.

WiFi-enabled Internet-of- Things (IoT) devices are evolving from mere communication devices to sensing instru-ments, leveraging Channel State Information (CSI) extraction capabilities. Nevertheless, resource-constrained IoT devices and the intricacies of deep neural networks necessitate transmitting CSI to cloud servers for sensing. Although feasible, this leads to considerable communication overhead. In this context, this paper develops a novel Real-time Sensing and Compression Network (RSCNet) which enables sensing with compressed CSI; thereby reducing the communication overheads. RSCNet facilitates op-timization across CSI windows composed of a few CSI frames. Once transmitted to cloud servers, it employs Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) units to harness data from prior windows, thus bolstering both the sensing accuracy and CSI reconstruction. RSCNet adeptly balances the trade-off between CSI compression and sensing precision, thus streamlining real-time cloud-based WiFi sensing with reduced communication costs. Numerical findings demonstrate the gains of RSCNet over the existing benchmarks like SenseFi, showcasing a sensing accuracy of 97.4 % with minimal CSI reconstruction error. Numerical results also show a computational analysis of the proposed RSCNet as a function of the number of CSI frames.

Opinion has always affected businesses and individuals especially from the Public. People react through social media and spread it incompletely. The situation was then accepted as public opinion. There are three categories of opinion i.e., positive, negative, and neutral. To investigate public opinion on a particular issue of interest, sentiment analysis might be employed. By offering a solution to the text classification challenge, this experiment focuses on the perception of airline tweets among the American public. We offer a method to classify tweets as positive, negative, or neutral using three machine learning classifiers: Random Forest Classifier, Naive Bayes Classifier, and K-Nearest Neighbors Classifier. We examined the performance of three machine learning classifiers in terms of accuracy, average precision, average recall, and average f-1 score. The results demonstrate that the Random Forest Classifier, which produces 82% accuracy, 80% average precision, 82% average recall, and 80% average f1-score, performs the best among the machine learning classifiers.

Despite the considerable progress that has been made in cancer research, identifying cancer genes remains a significant challenge due to the intricate nature of the disease. Given the importance of incorporating gene interaction relationships in identifying potential cancer genes, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have garnered increasing attention for their ability to model gene associations effectively. Particularly, recent studies have demonstrated the superiority of GNNs in deciphering the knowledge embedded in Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) networks for cancer gene prediction. However, these studies primarily focused on a single PPI network, overlooking the valuable insights encapsulated within other PPI networks. Additionally, previous endeavors often centered around pan-cancer datasets, neglecting the importance of predicting specific cancer genes. To address these limitations, we present a novel method called MPIT, which employs Graph Transformer Networks (GTNs) to identify specific cancer driver genes. MPIT effectively integrates data from diverse PPI and multi-omics data via the alignment and fusion of gene representations learned from different PPI networks. We collect three distinct cancer cell line datasets to assess the model performance. Our experimental findings demonstrate the superiority of MPIT over the existing methods, achieving the state-of-the-art performance across all three datasets.

Fuzzy logic can be used to represent obscurity based on terms such as high, old, hot, cold, and so on. Fuzzy logic can extend the range of truth values to all real numbers in intervals between 0 and 1. Numbers in this interval represent the possibility that the statement given is "true"or "wrong". The use of fuzzy logic can be used in everyday life, such as in the fields of medicine, engineering, agriculture, transportation, environmental science and also in economic and business applications. As in this study, it was used to calculate the ideal amount of 'tips' for restaurant waiters based on the service provided by restaurant waiters. The method used in this study is to use Mamdani fuzzy logic with the process of defuzzyfication using the Centroid of area (COA). The results of this study are that it can be determined the value crisp of giving tips to restaurant waiters is 45 thousand rupiah provided that the service provided for service = 7 (Excellent) and food service = 8 (Delicious).. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
