A Novel Fuzzy Marine White Shark Optimization Based Efficient Routing and Enhancing Network Lifetime in MANET

A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is an independent wireless temporary network established by employing a set of mobile nodes (i.e. laptops, smartphones, iPods, etc.) appropriate for the environment in which the network infrastructures are not fixed. The most common problems faced by MANET are energy efficiency, high energy consumption, low network lifetime as well as high traffic overhead which create an impact on overall network topology. Hence, it is necessary to provide an energy-effective CH election to take steps against such issues. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel model to enhance the network lifetime and energy efficiency by performing a routing strategy in MANET. In this paper, an optimal CH is selected by proposing a novel Fuzzy Marine White Shark optimization (FMWSO) algorithm which is obtained by integrating fuzzy operation with two optimization algorithms namely the marine predator algorithm and white shark optimizer. The proposed approach comprises three diverse stages namely Generation of data, Cluster Generation and CH selection. A novel FMWSO algorithm is proposed in such a way to determine the CH selection in MANET thereby enhancing the network topology, network lifetime and minimizing the overhead rate, and energy consumption. Finally, the performance of the proposed FMWSO approach is compared with various other existing techniques to determine the effectiveness of the system. The proposed FMWSO approach consumes minimum energy of 0.62 mJ which is lower than other approaches.

Poverty is still one of the factors that have been affecting the lives of humans over hundreds of decades in the world but still, it is not entirely eradicated. One of the main reasons is the lack of identification of the economical pattern in a particular area that has been affected by poverty over a long period which has not been noted by any NGOs or government. So, that is the main reason why poverty eradication is still the first goal of UN sustainable development goals.[1] Understanding economical patterns over a region can lead us in providing informed policy-making, targeted NGO, and government-aided efforts. If we could track them down in an easy method at the earlier stage or in the advanced method and predict this fatal enigma on the region, the poverty can surely prevent or at least save lives. The above dilemma leads us to the essential method of tracking the reliable and timely measurements of economic activities, which are key for understanding economic development and designing government policies. But still many countries, especially developing countries, lack reliable data. Though data is available, the lack of quality in the data remains a huge challenge. In this paper, we propose a low-cost yet efficient approach to predict the economical pattern in a rural region from satellite imagery, which is globally available, in the meantime, satellite images are continuously updating to the changeable environmental conditions. Since the satellite image is way more advantageous than traditional methods, they play a huge role in the model. Traditional methods like surveys are expensive to conduct and include a lot of manpower. [2]This contributes to infer socioeconomic indicators from large-scale, remotely-sensed data. The thyroid gland, a pivotal regulator of essential physiological functions, orchestrates the production and release of thyroid hormones, playing a vital role in metabolism, growth, development, and overall bodily functions. While thyroid nodules are predominantly benign, certain cases may manifest malignancy, leading to thyroid cancer. Despite the generally favorable prognosis, early detection and intervention remain paramount for optimal outcomes. Given the limitations in clinical data, this paper introduces an innovative approach employing a modified XGBoost model that integrates both clinical and molecular properties into a unified predictive model. Utilizing fine-needle aspiration biopsies and gene expression analysis, our model aims to enhance cancer prediction in thyroid nodules. We explore the influence of incorporating high-quality clinical data on the prioritized gene set, employing a nature-inspired method for hyperparameter optimization. The modified XGBoost model emerges as highly recommended for non-parametric feature selection, extraction, and prediction due to its remarkable accuracy. Our proposed model attains an impressive 94.6% accuracy, surpassing other machine learning models such as C5.0 (92.5%), CART (88.7%), CHAID (83.4%), Quest (81.5%), LSVM (77%), and random tree (24.1%). The real-time efficiency of our model is demonstrated in the results section. Experiments showcase the superior performance of combined molecular and clinical data-based prediction models. Emphasis is placed on the importance of scrutinizing the origins of clinical data and maintaining vigilance over variable quality. This study signifies a substantial advancement in thyroid cancer prediction, offering a robust and accurate model that integrates diverse data sources, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Autoencoder-Based Architecture for Identification and Mitigating Phishing URL Attack in IoT Using DNN

As a new and potentially devastating form of cyberattack, ‘Phishing’ URLs pose a risk to users by impersonating legitimate websites in an effort to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and financial details. At least two-thirds of persons were hit by these phishing assaults in 2016, according to a survey (Gopal et al. in IOP Conference Series: Materials science and engineering, vol. 1055, no. 1, p. 012072. IOP Publishing). Therefore, these attacks must be addressed carefully to prevent financial losses. In order to detect and prevent new kinds of assault, in addition to the ones already in use, a defense mechanism that can learn the possibilities of attacks is required. In the IoT (Internet of Things), everything is managed remotely via a web address (URL). So, intruders can simply gain access to the controls by stealing the URL used to access them from a distant location. To identify and prevent access to phishing sites at the network layer, we offer an approach that combines a deep neural networks (DNN) model with autoencoders. In order to train the model for feature reduction, an autoencoder sends it a dataset that includes both legitimate and phishing domains to analyze. The effectiveness of the suggested approach has been tested on a number of datasets, including Open phish, UCI, Mendeley, and PhishTank. For the multiclassification dataset, these metrics for this design are: 92.89% accuracy, 93.07% recall, 92.75% precision, and 92.21% F1-score. © 2023, The Institution of Engineers (India).

Multi-objective cloud load-balancing with hybrid optimization

In this study, the cloud computing platform is equipped with a hybrid multi-objective meta-heuristic optimization-based load balancing model. Physical Machine (PM) allocates a specific virtual machine (VM) depending on multiple criteria, such as the amount of memory used, migration expenses, power usage, and the load balancing settings, upon receiving a request to handle a cloud user's duties (‘Response time, Turnaround time, and Server load’). Additionally, the optimal virtual machine (VM) is chosen for efficient load balancing by utilizing the recently proposed hybrid optimization approach. The Cat and Mouse-Based Optimizer (CMBO) and Standard Dingo Optimizer (DXO) are conceptually blended together to get the proposed hybridization method known as Dingo Customized Cat mouse Optimization (DCCO). The developed method achieves the lowest server load in cloud environment 1 is 33.3%, 40%, 42.3%, 40.2%, 36.8%, 42.5%, 50%, 40.2%, 39.2% improved over MOA, ABC, CSO, SSO, SSA, ACSO, SMO, CMBO, BOA, DOX, and FF-PSO, respectively. Finally, the projected DCCO model has been evaluated in terms of makespan, memory usage, migration cost, response time, usage of power server load, turnaround time, throughput, and convergence. Security to text (S2T): multi-layered based security approaches for secret text content

In the digital world, text data is produced in an unstructured manner across various communication channels. Extracting valuable information from such data with security is crucial and requires the development of techniques in text mining, information retrieval, and natural language processing (NLP). To solve this issue, we introduce two novel approaches: keyword extraction (KE) and a multi-layered secret sharing scheme (MLSS) to provide security to extracted keywords rather than overall text documents. The KE approach encompasses a sequence of text pre-processing procedures, including tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and bag of words representation, followed by indexing. This methodology aims to efficiently extract keywords from text datasets. For this research work, we have proposed three datasets, including text messages, whatsapp messages, and electronic mail. MLSS enhances the security of extracted textual data by leveraging text pre-processing steps. This scheme ensures better confidentiality and the non-revealment of sensitive information. Additionally, we evaluate our KE model on our dataset as well as on standard datasets. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed security to text (S2T) model, which outperform existing state-of-the-art approaches. Enhancing VANET communication using squid game optimization based energy aware clustering approach

Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) are studied wireless networks that enable communication among vehicles and roadside infrastructure. The role a vital play in improving on-road safety, efficacy, and convenience by enabling real-time data interchange for controlling traffic, infotainment services, and collision avoidance. Energy efficiency in VANETs is vital because of the restricted power resources of vehicles. Methods like clustering, vehicles are categorized into groups to decrease communication overhead, and meta-heuristic approaches that optimize network performance by intelligent problem-solving approaches are deployed to exploit energy efficiency while preserving network reliability and responsiveness. These methodologies contribute to the effective implementation of VANETs, ensuring sustainable and dependable communication in dynamic vehicular environments. In this study, a new Squid Game Optimization based Energy Aware Clustering Approach (SGO-EACA) technique for VANET is introduced. The goal of the SGO-EACA technique is to optimally choose the cluster heads (CHs) and produce clusters in the VANET in such a way as to realize energy efficiency. In the SGO-EACA technique, the concept of typical Korean sport is used where the attackers try to achieve their goal, but players try to eliminate each other. Moreover, the SGO-EACA approach derives a fitness function (FF) containing multiple metrics such as Residual Energy (RE), Trust Level, Degree Difference, Total Energy consumption, Distance to Base Station (DBS), and Mobility. The simulation values exposed that the SGO-EACA approach surpassed earlier state-of-the-art approaches with respect to various aspects. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.
