Accessing a wide variety of music is made simple by modern music services. Many users rely on recommendation algorithms to select the ideal song for any given circumstance. Due to its frequent use for relaxation, mood regulation, stress, and illness management, as well as support for mental and physical activities, music has a profound influence on individuals. Music therapy employs a range of therapeutic environments and methods to enhance overall well-being. The article suggests a mood melody matching related to the listener's feelings. Machine learning and deep learning methods are employed to create a recommendation system designed to assist individuals in choosing music suitable for various life circumstances. Efficiently recognizing the ideal track for the user's current mood, the system delivers songs tailored to their emotional state, eliminating the need for users to spend time searching or seeking out music themselves. © 2024 IEEE.

This research looks at microwave devices, specifically, patch antenna along with electromagnetic spectrum, shape, mechanism, analytical methods, simulation tools, and feeding procedures. Patch antennas are distinguished by their rectangular form, with a patch on one side and a ground plane on the other. Patch antennas work by exciting electromagnetic waves inside the patch, which are subsequently transmitted into the surrounding environment. The report also outlines numerous ways for evaluating the performance of microstrip patch antennas. The electromagnetic characteristics of the antenna are analyzed using the transmission line model, cavity model, and multiport network model (MNM). The integral equations that regulate the behavior of the antenna are solved using the method of moments (MoM) and the finite element method (FEM). The spectral domain technique (SDT) is used to analyze the antenna’s frequency response, while the finite difference time domain (FDTD) approach is used to analyze the antenna’s time-domain behavior. Overall, these methodologies give a thorough understanding of microstrip patch antenna performance and may be utilized to optimize their design. Furthermore, several patch antenna feeding methods, such as probe feed, microstrip line feeding, aperture coupling, proximity coupling, and CPW feed, are investigated. Attaching a microstrip line to the patch, which is subsequently linked to the RF source, is what microstrip line feeding entails. Aperture coupling entails making a hole in the ground plane that allows the RF source to feed the patch directly. Proximity coupling is accomplished by placing a probe near the patch, which creates an electromagnetic field on the patch. Patch antenna simulation software includes programmers such as HFSS, CST, and FEKO. These tools simulate the patch antenna’s performance, including its radiation pattern, gain, and input impedance. Solar radiation plays a critical role in the carbon sequestration processes of terrestrial ecosystems, making it a key factor in environmental sustainability among various renewable energy sources. This study integrates two advanced signal processing techniques—empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD)—with machine learning (ML) algorithms, including multilayer perceptron (MLP), random forest regression (RFR), support vector regression (SVR), and ridge regression, to forecast long-term solar radiation. Meteorological data spanning 13 years (2000–2012) from seven locations across India (Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Patna, and Trivandrum) were used for training and testing. The optimal model was identified based on performance metrics, including the highest linear correlation coefficient (R), and the lowest mean absolute error (MAE) and root mean square error (RMSE). The results indicate that EEMD integrated with ML algorithms consistently outperformed EMD-based approaches. Among the ML models evaluated, EEMD integrated with MLP achieved the best performance across all locations, with RMSE = 0.332, MAE = 0.26, and R2 = 0.99. Furthermore, a comparative analysis with previous studies demonstrated that the proposed approach provides superior accuracy, underscoring its efficacy in solar radiation forecasting. © The Author(s) 2025.

Desertification greatly affects land deterioration, farming efficiency, economic growth, and health, especially in Gulf nations. Climate change has worsened desertification, making developmental issues in the area even more difficult. This research presents an enhanced framework utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) for ongoing monitoring, data gathering, and analysis to evaluate desertification patterns. The framework utilizes Bayesian Belief Networks (BBN) to categorize IoT data, while a low-latency processing method on edge computing platforms enables effective detection of desertification trends. The classified data is subsequently analyzed using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) optimized with a Genetic Algorithm (GA) for forecasting decisions. Using cloud computing infrastructure, the ANN-GA model examines intricate data connections to forecast desertification risk elements. Moreover, the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model is employed to predict desertification over varied time intervals. Experimental simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the suggested framework, attaining enhanced performance in essential metrics: Temporal Delay (103.68 s), Classification Efficacy—Sensitivity (96.44 %), Precision (95.56 %), Specificity (96.97 %), and F-Measure (96.69 %)—Predictive Efficiency—Accuracy (97.76 %) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) (1.95 %)—along with Reliability (93.73 %) and Stability (75 %). The results of classification effectiveness and prediction performance emphasize the framework's ability to detect high-risk zones and predict the severity of desertification. This innovative method improves the comprehension of desertification processes and encourages sustainable land management practices, reducing the socio-economic impacts of desertification and bolstering at-risk ecosystems. NVS-GAN: Benefit of generative adversarial network on novel view synthesis

The methodology to generate new views for an object from provided input object view is called Novel View Synthesis (NVS). Humans imagine novel views through prior knowledge gathered through their lifetime. NVS-GAN predicts the novel views through computation. Literature survey reveals that there are limited NVS models with low Trainable Parameter Count (TPC) and low model size. Also, a study on the effect of different loss functions on NVS models was lacking. Lowering the TPC indicates less computational steps for the model to predict the output, therefore desirable. Combined with a low model size, the proposed model will become more suitable for deployment in diverse devices having limited resources for computation. Application of right combination of loss functions yield better accuracy. To address these research gaps, NVS-GAN is proposed. NVS-GAN is a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) approach which yields NVS-Generator which performs NVS. NVS-Generator incorporates identity skip connections, bilinear sampling module, Depthwise Separable Convolution (DSC) as design features and results in low TPC, model size. In addition to discriminator loss, NVS-GAN is trained with different combinations of loss functions i.e. Mean Absolute Error (MAE) loss, Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) loss, Huber loss on chair and car objects of ShapeNet dataset. The performance of NVS-Generator on test set measured in terms of MAE and SSIM is tabulated and analysed. The performance is compared with existing NVS models. The proposed NVS-GAN experiment recorded reduction in NVS-Generator TPC in 37 %–54.6 % range and reduction in model size between 37.2 % and 47.6 % range. NVS-Generator reduced MAE upto 55 % and improved SSIM upto 4 % than existing models. Summarily, NVS-GAN increased model performance and made the model "lightweight". © 2024 The Authors

for solving problems in ECG classification readings for rhythm detection, a novel deep learning approach is presented in this paper. To capture important information about heart cycles like morphology and timing, a proposed technique integrates feature injection with a compact 1D Self-Operational Neural Network (Self-ONN). This allows for fluent and engaging data recording. With superior performance, the network surpasses current models in classification while maintaining minimal computational complexity. Its outstanding results are achieved through training with the MIT-BIH arrhythmias benchmark database. The network displays exceptional levels of accuracy, recall, and F1-score for normal segments (99%), supraventricular ectopic beats (82%), and ventricular ectopic beats (94%), demonstrating its remarkable capabilities. Here study demonstrates the applicability of the approach in wearable ECG sensors for self-monitoring and early detection of cardiovascular diseases. The paper offers comprehensive insights into network architecture, data processing stages, as well as comparisons with current algorithms. The suggested approach outperforms others in terms of F1-score, accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and positive predictive value when applied to various beat types. The report contains a computational complex analysis that emphasizes the compactness of the model and its importance in reducing the difference in performance between patient-specific and global ECG classification techniques. © 2024 IEEE.
