An animal's normal state is altered by sickness which can stop or change critical processes. Concerns over animal diseases have existed as animal lovers interacted with animals and this concern is reflected in the first ideas about religion and magic. Animal illnesses still pose a threat, primarily due to the potential financial costs and risk of human transmission. The study, prevention, and treatment of diseases in animals including wild animals and those utilized in scientific research are the focus of the medical specialty known as veterinary medicine. This research examines recent developments in image-based animal illness detection and predicting the best deep learning model to detect the animal diseases. People now have a better grasp of machine learning and its potential uses in treating animal diseases as a result of the discussion of this paper. Regarding accuracy, DenseNet169 has performed remarkably better than other models whereas ResNet50V2 has least accuracy. These models are trained on the dataset which is built using images collected by the Authors. © 2023 IEEE.

The task of choosing a suitable web service has become increasingly difficult in today’s landscape due to the growing number of services offering similar functionalities. This paper addresses the critical need for efficient web service selection based on Quality of Service parameters. A minimal set of discrete QoS characteristics were carefully chosen as inputs for several machine learning models targeted at finding and suggesting suitable web services. The performance of these models is systematically evaluated and compared. The machine learning techniques used for this work include a Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, and Random Forest. Among these, the results show that the proposed Random Forest model consistently outperforms other techniques in terms of accuracy and effectiveness. This study contributes to the advancement of web service selection methodologies by providing insights into the comparative performance of various machine learning approaches, ultimately offering a valuable guide for decision-makers in navigating the intricate landscape of web service options. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Carbon dots(CDs)with aggregation-induced emission(AIE)have sparked significant interest in multidimensional anti-counterfeiting due to their exceptional fluorescence ***,the preparation of AIE CDs with multicolor solid-state fluorescence remains a formidable challenge due to its complicated *** the present work,a novel class of multicolor AIE CDs(M-CDs)were fabricated using selected precursor(salicylic acid,thiosalicylic acid,and 2,2'-dithiodibenzoic acid),with an eco-friendly,low-cost one-pot solvothermal *** the dilute organic solution,M-CDs manifested blue emission,but upon aggregation in the presence of water,the red,yellow,green,and blue emissions were displayed due to the AIE *** analysis,coupled with theoretical calculations,revealed that the increase in the size of sp2 domains would lower the Eg and cause a red-shift emission ***,the continuous emission of M-CDs from blue to red can be utilized as ink for multimode printing,enabling the creation of a variety of school badges and quick response *** findings hold promising implications for multi-information encryption applications.

Sentiment analysis (SA) is an intellectual process of extracting a user's views. Social media is gaining prominence in public transit agencies for communication strategies and daily management. In recent years, web documents are identified as an important source of reviewing individual opinions. Researchers using these social networking platforms are producing a high rate of increase in interest in methods for automatically extracting and analysing opinions from web documents such as for weblogs, customer reviews, movies and public services etc. This paper is an attempt to perform an evaluation of public opinion for the Quality of Services of two very popular public transportations in North India. Opinions of public have been collected in form of tweets for a specific time. An approach based on fuzzy logic and machine learning is introduced to solve the tweets extraction that is used for classification. The impact of neutral tweets is discussed. Results show that the performance of road transport is better than the transport through railway services and neutral tweets play a significant role in emotion analysis of the system. © 2024 IEEE.

Customer segmentation is a vital strategy for businesses seeking to enhance their marketing efforts and optimize resource allocation. This research focuses on segmenting customers using the Mall Customer Segmentation dataset, which includes demographic and behavioral attributes such as age, gender, annual income, and spending score. The work begins with data preprocessing, involving the handling of missing values, encoding of categorical variables, and scaling of numerical features to prepare the data for analysis. Following preprocessing, exploratory data analysis (EDA) is conducted to visualize feature distributions and relationships, providing insights into the data's structure. The core of the research involves applying various clustering algorithms-K-Means, Hierarchical Clustering, and DBSCAN-to identify distinct customer segments. The optimal number of clusters is determined through methods like the Elbow Method and Silhouette Score. The clusters are then evaluated for quality, and their characteristics are analyzed to understand different customer segments. This segmentation enables businesses to their marketing strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and make data-driven decisions based on customer behavior insights and demographics. © 2024 IEEE.

Image steganography is a technique for encrypting data, allowing covert communication, and enhancing data security inside image files. This study provides an in-depth analysis of image steganography, covering its core ideas, methods, uses, difficulties, and developments. Numerous embedding algorithms and methodologies, including transform domain methods and LSB-based strategies, are examined in this study. The paper highlights the need for effective defenses against steganalysis attacks, while also discussing the challenges and potential weaknesses in steganography. It examines common steganography techniques and discusses countermeasures such as adaptive embedding, key-based embedding, and algorithmic resistance. Additionally, the paper also highlights the significance of assessing the efficacy and caliber of image steganography techniques. Objective metrics such as PSNR and MSE are discussed, providing insights into the trade-offs between security and image fidelity. In this era, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks have developed as a revolutionized network for data distribution and alternate to traditional client-server network. The features of P2P networks allow a distributed group of users to stake resources in the form of digital content or information. However, P2P networks lack in controlling access and it has limited security. In this research, Three Dimensional-Convolutional Autoencoder (3D-CA) is proposed to improve the security in P2P network. Initially, the data is obtained from University of New South Wales Network Behavior 2015 (UNSW-NB15) dataset and then preprocessed with data cleaning to ensure data quality. After that, the P2P autoencoder architecture is employed to learn the normal patterns which employs the detection in P2P network. Finally, the proposed 3D-CA is trained to detect the anomalies based on reconstruction error between input node and reconstructed pattern. From the results, the proposed 3D-CA model attained better outcomes compared to existing K-means algorithm in terms of accuracy, precision as well as F1-score by achieving 0.764, 0.90 and 0.80 respectively. © 2025 IEEE.

Industrial Cyber-Physical (ICP) systems are integration of computation and physical processes to help achieve operational excellence. As sensors and actuators compose the openly deployed ICP systems and are often susceptible to interference, it puts forward higher requirements on reliability. Reliable coverage ensures sensors acquiring information and therefore coverage reliability of sensor network is studied from various perspectives. However, most existing reliability evaluation methods ignore the belief degree of coverage which influences the reliability to an extent. To evaluate the coverage reliability from the perspective of belief degree, we firstly define Confident Information Coverage Belief Reliability (CICBR) based on the Confident Information Coverage (CIC) model and D-S evidence theory, which comprehensively considers the coverage rate, interference from the environment, and belief degree of the result. Next, to evaluate the belief degree more reasonably, an Evidence-discount-based basic probability assignment generating method is proposed based on D-S theory to describe the interference in the belief degree. Moreover, a belief evaluation algorithm is proposed to calculate the belief degree of the coverage. Finally, an evidence-Discount-based Confident Information Coverage Belief Reliability Evaluation (D-CICBRE) algorithm is proposed to evaluate CICBR. The simulation result indicates that the proposed method can obtain higher and more reasonable reliability. Therefore, the proposed D-CICBRE algorithm can be used to evaluate the reliability of ICP systems more accurately and reasonably. © 2023 IEEE.

Single-Frequency Self-Alignment RF Resonant Beam for Information and Power Transfer

Due to power attenuation, improving transmission efficiency in the radio-frequency (RF) band remains a significant challenge, which hinders advancements in various fields of the Internet of Things (IoT), such as wireless power transfer (WPT) and wireless communication. Array design and retro-directive beamforming (RD-BF) techniques offer simple and effective ways to enhance transmission efficiency. However, when the target is an array or in the near field, the RD-BF system (RD-BFS) cannot radiate more energy to the target due to phase irregularities in the target region, resulting in challenges in achieving higher efficiency. To address this issue, we propose the RF-based resonant beam system (RF-RBS), which adaptively optimizes phase and power distribution between transmitting and receiving arrays by leveraging the resonance mechanism to achieve higher transmission efficiency. We analyze the system structure and develop an analytical model to evaluate power flow and resonance establishment. Numerical analysis demonstrates that the proposed RF-RBS achieves self-alignment without beam control and provides higher transmission efficiency compared to RD-BFS, with improvements of up to 16%. This self-alignment capability allows the system to effectively transfer power and information across varying distances and offsets. The numerical results indicate the capability to transmit watt-level power and achieve 21 bps/Hz of downlink spectral efficiency in indoor settings, highlighting the advantages of RF-RBS in information and power transfer for mobile applications. © 2025 IEEE.
