Recently, with increased use of mobile phones, it has transformed into a multibillion-dollar Short Message Service or SMS. However, the drop in the cost of messaging services has led to an increased number of unsolicited commercial messages, or spam, being delivered to mobile phones. Several reasons exist for which traditional algorithms used in email filtering may not efficiently classify the spam in SMS such as the absence of strong SMS spam databases, with the short length and features of the message, the informal language used, etc. This paper uses a real SMS spam database After preprocessing the data and extraction of relevant features, Naïve Bayes machine learning techniques is applied to get the results. Then it is analyzed using confusion matrix, accuracy, precision and recall values. A learning curve with clearly defined relationship between the training and testing data set and overall error at the end. © 2025 IEEE.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have witnessed remarkable significance in diverse sectors, ranging from environmental monitoring, infrastructure inspection, disaster response, wildlife conservation, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. It is crucial to predict their future states to enable UAVs' safe and efficient operation in dynamic environments. UAV trajectory planning is a crucial aspect of UAV operations, as it determines how the drone will navigate, perform tasks, and avoid obstacles. UAVs can be operated with varying degrees of autonomy, and they can be controlled by humans or autonomously via onboard autopilot software. While existing research has extensively focused on trajectory planning methodologies for UAVs, there is a noticeable gap in the literature concerning the integration of predictive capabilities into trajectory planning, highlighting the need for a comprehensive review of methodologies in UAV trajectory prediction connected with the associated realm of trajectory planning. This article provides a comprehensive and comparative analysis of trajectory prediction methods tailored for autonomous UAVs. Beginning with a precise problem definition and algorithm categorization, our study delves into evaluating methodologies rooted in conventional mathematical models, classical machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning models. © 1998-2012 IEEE.

According to global statistics, breast cancer is one of the most common diseases among women worldwide, accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and cancer-related deaths, making it a significant public health problem in today's society. Many researchers have worked on breast cancer diagnosis and prediction;each technique has a different accuracy rate, which varies depending on the situation, algorithms, and datasets employed. Our primary goal is to compare various existing Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Data Mining techniques in order to identify the most effective way for supporting enormous datasets with high prediction accuracy and other metrics. Classification of plant diseases in images using dense-inception architecture with attention modules

Agriculture plays a vital role in providing food to a growing world population. However, plant diseases and pests result in 50% reductions in crop yields, which exacerbates poverty and threatens a sustainable food system. Currently, plant disease detection mainly relies on manual visual inspection and analysis of the field, which is a time-consuming and unreliable method. Modern technology, such as smart agriculture, can leverage machine learning, computer vision, and remote sensing technologies to overcome the limitations of traditional methods. Several machine learning algorithms have been used for plant disease classification and detection. However, these models suffer from limitations such as dependence on complex hand-crafted features for classification, and limited adaptability to new data. Deep learning models, on the other hand, have the ability to automatically learn hierarchical representations from raw data, making them inherently more informative and adaptable to changing data patterns. While existing deep learning approaches for plant disease detection have achieved some degree of success, these models still face challenges in achieving superior performance due to similar visual appearances of different plant diseases, intra-class differences, and variation in scale and resolution. To address these challenges, we proposed a framework that consists of hybrid network and attention module. Our hybrid module combines the benefits of DenseNet and InceptionNet to capture multi-scale features, while the attention module addresses the challenges of inter-class similarity and intra-class variability by isolating the most discriminative feature and disregarding extraneous and insignificant information. We performed experiments on publicly available challenging dataset. Composite spectral spatial pixel CNN for land-use hyperspectral image classification with hybrid activation function

Deep learning methods have played a prominent role in the development of computer visualization in recent years. Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is a popular analytical technique based on spectroscopy and visible imaging which examines the pattern of light in a target and recognizes objects based on varying spectral properties. However, in remote sensing, detecting surface material via HSI analysis is a critical and difficult task. The performance of spectral-spatial data exploitation is well established to outperform typical spectral pixel-wise techniques. Because of its great feature extraction ability, convolutional neural networks (CNN) have emerged as a potent deep learning approach. CNN translates the input features of an image into an equivalent CNN feature map, in addition to naturally combining spectral and spatial information. However, spectral-spatial properties when combined with pixel-wise extraction can learn more minute details of objects present on the earth’s terrain. In this paper, a noble Composite Spectral Spatial Pixel CNN model for the classification of hyperspectral data is presented which is an amalgamation of 3D-2D-1D CNN. While the 3D and 2D CNN exploit the spectral-spatial features effectively, 1D CNN works on pixel-wise feature extraction. Further, to optimize the classification performance of the proposed model, a new hybrid activation function Flatten-T Swish is also used which is the combination of ReLU and Swish function. The proposed model is compared with other state-of-the-art models based on three popular HSI datasets, and it is found that the proposed model performs better among others in terms of classification and computation time, giving 98.87% accuracy for Indian Pines, 99.92% accuracy for Pavia University, and 99.99% accuracy for Salinas Valley dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Generative artificial intelligence for distributed learning to enhance smart grid communication

Machine learning models are the backbone of smart grid optimization, but their effectiveness hinges on access to vast amounts of training data. However, smart grids face critical communication bottlenecks due to the ever-increasing volume of data from distributed sensors. This paper introduces a novel approach leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), specifically a type of pre-trained Foundation Model (FM) architecture suitable for time series data due to its efficiency and privacy-preserving properties. These GenAI models are distributed to agents, or data holders, empowering them to fine-tune the foundation model with their local datasets. By fine-tuning the foundation model, the updated model can produce synthetic data that mirrors real-world grid conditions. The server aggregates fine-tuned model from all agents and then generates synthetic data which considers all data collected in the grid. This synthetic data can be used to train global machine learning models for specific tasks like anomaly detection and energy optimization. Then, the trained task models are distributed to agents in the grid to leverage them. The paper highlights the advantages of GenAI for smart grid communication, including reduced communication burden, enhanced privacy through anonymized data transmission, and improved efficiency and scalability. By enabling a distributed and intelligent communication architecture, GenAI introduces a novel way for a more secure, efficient, and sustainable energy future. © 2024 The Authors

This research introduces a unique approach to segmenting breast cancer images using a U-Net-based ***,the computational demand for image processing is very ***,we have conducted this research to build a system that enables image segmentation training with low-power *** accomplish this,all data are divided into several segments,each being trained *** the case of prediction,the initial output is predicted from each trained model for an input,where the ultimate output is selected based on the pixel-wise majority voting of the expected outputs,which also ensures data *** addition,this kind of distributed training system allows different computers to be used *** is how the training process takes comparatively less time than typical training *** after completing the training,the proposed prediction system allows a newly trained model to be included in the ***,the prediction is consistently more *** evaluated the effectiveness of the ultimate output based on four performance matrices:average pixel accuracy,mean absolute error,average specificity,and average balanced *** experimental results show that the scores of average pixel accuracy,mean absolute error,average specificity,and average balanced accuracy are 0.9216,0.0687,0.9477,and 0.8674,*** addition,the proposed method was compared with four other state-of-the-art models in terms of total training time and usage of computational *** it outperformed all of them in these aspects.

Given the severity of waste pollution as a major environmental concern, intelligent and sustainable waste management is becoming increasingly crucial in both developed and developing countries. The material composition and volume of urban solid waste are key considerations in processing, managing, and utilizing city waste. Deep learning technologies have emerged as viable solutions to address waste management issues by reducing labor costs and automating complex tasks. However, the limited number of trash image categories and the inadequacy of existing datasets have constrained the proper evaluation of machine learning model performance across a large number of waste classes. In this paper, we present robust waste image classification and object detection studies using deep learning models, utilizing 28 distinct recyclable categories of waste images comprising a total of 10,406 images. For the waste classification task, we proposed a novel dual-stream network that outperformed several state-of-the-art models, achieving an overall classification accuracy of 83.11%. Additionally, we introduced the GELAN-E (generalized efficient layer aggregation network) model for waste object detection tasks, obtaining a mean average precision (mAP50) of 63%, surpassing other state-of-the-art detection models. These advancements demonstrate significant progress in the field of intelligent waste management, paving the way for more efficient and effective solutions. © The Author(s) 2024.
