The Internet of Things (IoT) is a major contributor to the vast amount of data generated worldwide, significantly impacting the big data market. However, this data holds value only when utilized for insights and applications. Many organizations hesitate to use third-party data due to concerns about accuracy, reliability, and integrity. Enhancing trustworthiness in data is crucial to unlock their full potential, especially in critical domains such as healthcare where erroneous data can have severe consequences. The Identity of Things (IDoT) paradigm addresses this need by identifying trustworthy devices using Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs), offering promising solutions for digital identification. Although DIDs and VCs have primarily been used for mutual trust and access control, their potential for data certification in IoT remains underexplored. This paper is the first to investigate the feasibility of IoT devices to use VCs for certifying data. We evaluated devices with varying capabilities, focusing on the latency, computing, and storage requirements for issuing VCs. Our findings demonstrate that IoT devices can issue VCs with up to 100 claims in less than 90 ms, with storage requirements growing linearly and remaining below 4 KB. Using VCs for data certification does not introduce significant computational overhead, suggesting its practicality for IoT environments. ©2024 IEEE.

One of the leading causes of early health detriment is the increasing levels of air pollution in major cities and eventually in indoor spaces. Monitoring the air quality effectively in closed spaces like educational institutes and hospitals can improve both the health and the life quality of the occupants. In this paper, we propose an efficient Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring and management system, which uses a combination of cutting-edge technologies to monitor and predict major air pollutants like, TVOCs, and other factors like temperature and humidity. The aim is to create an intelligent environment for IAQ. The data is captured and monitored using an Internet of Things network of sensors, manufactured by ourselves, in different lecture rooms at the university. The obtained data is then processed and correlated in real time using a complex event processing engine and analyzed by machine/deep learning algorithms. A long short-term memory neural network is proposed to forecast IAQ. Then a decision tree regressor is used to identify the relationships between temperature, humidity and different pollutants like CO2 and PM2.5. © 2025 IEEE.

The power sector is an important factor in ensuring the development of the national *** simulation and prediction of power consumption help achieve the balance between power generation and power *** this paper,a Multi-strategy Hybrid Coati Optimizer(MCOA)is used to optimize the parameters of the three-parameter combinatorial optimization model TDGM(1,1,r,ξ,Csz)to realize the simulation and prediction of China's daily electricity ***,a novel MCOA is proposed in this paper,by making the following improvements to the Coati Optimization Algorithm(COA):(ⅰ)Introduce improved circle chaotic mapping strategy.(ⅱ)Fusing Aquila Optimizer,to enhance MCOA's exploration capabilities.(ⅲ)Adopt an adaptive optimal neighborhood jitter learning *** improve MCOA escape from local optimal solutions.(ⅳ)Incorporating Differential Evolution to enhance the diversity of the ***,the superiority of the MCOA algorithm is verified by comparing it with the newly proposed algorithm,the improved optimiza-tion algorithm,and the hybrid algorithm on the CEC2019 and CEC2020 test ***,in this paper,MCOA is used to optimize the parameters of TDGM(1,1,r,ξ,Csz),and this model is applied to forecast the daily electricity consumption in China and compared with the predictions of 14 models,including seven intelligent algorithm-optimized TDGM(1,1,r,ξ,Csz),and seven forecasting *** experimental results show that the error of the proposed method is minimized,which verifies the validity of the proposed method.

The paper introduces Application Oriented Secured Content Forwarding (ASCF) mechanism for Vehicular Named Data Networks (VNDN). ASCF enhances critical data delivery, segregates data by application importance, and ensures security. It employs a push-based mechanism for swift critical data dissemination and categorizes data into Non-Critical and Critical, optimizing forwarding based on importance. The Replay and Timing Attack Mitigation (RTAM) scheme identifies and counters malicious nodes. ASCF also utilizes a Hop Count based Interest Selection and Content Forwarding (HISCF) algorithm, reducing congestion. Results exhibit significant improvements in throughput, latency, and security over traditional VNDN. ASCF presents a robust framework for advanced content forwarding in VNDNs, promising efficient data dissemination for critical applications in future smart transportation systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (science and Information Organization). Accessing complex medical data, especially temporal information, presents a significant challenge for non-technical users, including healthcare professionals not versed in technology or query languages like SPARQL. This paper introduces an enhanced form-based SPARQL query builder that offers effortless access to temporal medical data. The described system simplifies constructing SPARQL queries into an intuitive, form-driven interface that abstracts and hides the technical complexities. Novel enhancement is primarily the user's ability to filter and order data with column constraints. By focusing on usability, the system empowers users to retrieve temporal medical information without needing in-depth knowledge of database systems or SPARQL syntax. We evaluate the system's usability and performance by testing it with non-technical healthcare professionals. Results demonstrate that users can easily navigate the interface, significantly reduce the time spent querying the database, and effectively retrieve data. This approach benefits from FAIR data principles and enhances data reusability in healthcare settings for reaching accuracy and precision for follow-up analysis in evidence-based research, facilitating better decision-making that can improve future patient outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

These underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks (UWSNs) present unique challenges due to the harsh and dynamic underwater environment, making efficient communication protocols essential for their operation. This paper introduces an innovative Energy Efficient Clustering Routing Protocol (EECRP) specifically designed for UWSNs, leveraging the advancements of 6G technology. EECRP employs a distributed clustering mechanism and energy-efficient routing strategy to optimize energy consumption, prolong network lifetime, and enhance communication reliability. The protocol integrates with 6G technologies, such as terahertz communication and quantum communication security, to further enhance performance and security in UWSNs. Through simulation and comparative analysis, EECRP demonstrates superior performance compared to existing routing protocols in terms of energy efficiency, throughput, and scalability. EECRP's contributions lie in its novel approach to routing in UWSNs, emphasizing energy efficiency, sustainability, and integration with advanced technologies. This research paves the way for the adoption and deployment of EECRP in various underwater applications, facilitating scientific research, environmental monitoring, and technological innovation in underwater communication systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, with increased use of mobile phones, it has transformed into a multibillion-dollar Short Message Service or SMS. However, the drop in the cost of messaging services has led to an increased number of unsolicited commercial messages, or spam, being delivered to mobile phones. Several reasons exist for which traditional algorithms used in email filtering may not efficiently classify the spam in SMS such as the absence of strong SMS spam databases, with the short length and features of the message, the informal language used, etc. This paper uses a real SMS spam database After preprocessing the data and extraction of relevant features, Naïve Bayes machine learning techniques is applied to get the results. Then it is analyzed using confusion matrix, accuracy, precision and recall values. A learning curve with clearly defined relationship between the training and testing data set and overall error at the end. © 2025 IEEE.
