Laser-induced thermocapillary deformation of liquid surfaces has emerged as a promising tool to precisely characterize the thermophysical properties of pure ***,challenges arise for nanofluid(NF)and soft biofluid systems where the direct interaction of the laser generates an intriguing interplay between heating,momentum,and scattering forces which can even damage soft ***,we report a versatile,pump-probe-based,rapid,and non-contact interferometric technique that resolves interface dynamics of complex fluids with the precision of~1 nm in thick-film and 150 pm in thin-film regimes below the thermal limit without the use of lock-in or modulated *** characterize the thermophysical properties of complex NF in three exclusively different types of ***,when the NF is heated from the bottom through an opaque substrate,we demonstrate that our methodology permits the measurement of thermophysical properties(viscosity,surface tension,and diffusivity)of complex NF and ***,in a top illumination configuration,we show a precise characterization of NF by quantitively isolating the competing forces,taking advantage of the different time scales of these ***,we show the measurement of NF confined in a metal cavity,in which the transient thermoelastic deformation of the metal surface provides the properties of the NF as well as thermo-mechanical properties of the *** results reveal how the dissipative nature of the heatwave allows us to investigate thick-film dynamics in the thin-film regime,thereby suggesting a general approach for precision measurements of complex NFs,biofluids,and optofluidic devices.

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) are regarded as a key technology for future wireless communications, enabling programmable radio propagation environments. However, the passive reflecting feature of RISs induces notable challenges on channel estimation, making coherent symbol detection a challenging task. In this paper, we consider the uplink of RIS-aided multi-user Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems and propose a Machine Learning (ML) approach to jointly design the multi-antenna receiver and configure the RIS reflection coefficients, which does not require explicit full knowledge of the channel input-output relationship. Our approach devises a ML-based receiver, while the configurations of the RIS reflection patterns affecting the underlying propagation channel are treated as hyperparameters. Based on this system design formulation, we propose a Bayesian ML framework for optimizing the RIS hyperparameters, according to which the transmitted pilots are directly used to jointly tune the RIS and the multi-antenna receiver. Our simulation results demonstrate the capability of the proposed approach to provide reliable communications in non-linear channel conditions corrupted by Gaussian noise. © 2021 IEEE.

Currently, Ethereum has become a public blockchain platform for developers to build and deploy smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps). However, the fact that accounts of the user are able to trade directly only through their addresses in Ethereum, phishing scam attackers can easily disguise themselves as legitimate accounts to defraud large amounts of money. At present, phishing scam detection methods mainly focus on improving the detection accuracy by continuously extracting the account's feature information. Another issue is data imbalance, since the current publicly available URLs for labeling phishing scam data are no longer updated, it becomes an incomplete understanding of the data by supervised learning methods. To address these challenges, we present a self-supervised phishing scams detection method based on graph contrastive learning, named GCL-PSD, which can effectively handle the unavailability of labeled data. GCL-PSD can learn features between accounts by constructing positive and negative samples without labeling. To further enhance the inconspicuous feature representation in contrastive learning, our method leverages ``node versus local subgraph" as contrastive instances, and learns feature information of neighboring nodes through the contrastive training between nodes and subgraphs. Additionally, our extensive experimental results on real-world datasets demonstrate that GCL-PSD can effectively detect phishing scams without relying on training labels and outperforms baseline methods (97% Precision, and 95% F1 score). © 2023, The Authors. Quantum Conference Key Agreement (QCKA) protocols are designed to allow multiple parties to agree on a shared secret key, secure against computationally unbounded adversaries. In this paper, we consider a high-dimensional QCKA protocol and prove its information theoretic security against arbitrary, general, attacks in the finite-key scenario. Our proof technique may be useful for other high-dimensional multiparty quantum cryptographic protocols. Finally, we evaluate the protocol in a variety of settings, showing that high-dimensional states can greatly benefit QCKA protocols.

The bipolar fuzzy set and interval-valued bipolar fuzzy set efficiently analyse real-world problems where for each input of an object, there has counter information. This study's main objective is to lay a foundation for considering a new approach to the bipolar fuzzy hybrid operators tool applied in a realistic frame that contains uncertainties. In this view, some mixed aggregation operators, namely, the hybrid bipolar fuzzy weighted averaging geometric (H-BFWAG), hybrid bipolar fuzzy order weighted averaging geometric (H-BFOWAG), hybrid interval-valued bipolar fuzzy weighted averaging geometric (H-IVBFWAG), and hybrid interval-valued bipolar fuzzy order weighted averaging geometric (H-IVBFOWAG) operators are generated in bipolar fuzzy environment. A decision making approach is developed to build the multi-criteria decision making model. A numerical example is considered to study the different effects on various Indian economic sectors in the COVID-19 environment. Managerial implications are highlighted in between many industrial sectors on which the Indian economy depends and the country's gross domestic product depends on their inter-relationship. This study investigates COVID-19's impact on society and the economy in the Indian context. A comparative investigation is introduced with some pre-existing operators and the TOPSIS (technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution) approach to justify the proposed method. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

This article discusses the utilization of a dual polarization antenna on a perpendicular strip line, including a fractal narrow slit, for a global positioning system (GPS), 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE), and a 5G communication network. The proposed antenna consists of a perpendicular strip line that couples the electromagnetic field to a fractal narrow slit, allowing resonance at frequencies of 1.74 GHz and 2.675 GHz. Additionally, it has the capability to facilitate circular polarization for GPS applications and linear polarization for 4G&5G communication networks. The proposed antenna has an impedance characteristic of essentially 22.41% and 9.40% for S11 at frequencies of 1.74 GHz and 2.675 GHz, respectively. At 1.575 GHz, 1.74 GHz, and 2.675 GHz, the antenna's identified peak gains are approximately 2.3 dBi, 2.8 dBi and 3.86 dBi, respectively. Moreover, the proposed antenna has the capability to generate a radiation pattern that propagates in two opposing directions, enabling the efficient exploitation of both GPS and 4G&5G communication network.

Autonomous modeling of artificial swarms is necessary because manual creation is a time-intensive and complicated procedure which makes it impractical. An autonomous approach employing deep reinforcement learning, is presented in this study for swarm navigation. In this approach, complex 3D environments with static and dynamic obstacles along with resistive forces (like linear drag, angular drag and gravity) are modelled for tracking multiple dynamic targets. Moreover, reward functions for robust swarm formation and target tracking are devised for learning complex swarm behaviors. Since the number of agents is not fixed and have only the partial observance of the environment, therefore, swarm formation and navigation becomes challenging task. In this regard, the proposed strategy consists of three main phases to tackle the aforementioned challenges: 1) A methodology for dynamic swarm management, 2) Avoiding obstacles, Finding the shortest path towards the targets, 3) Tracking the targets, and Island modelling. The dynamic swarm management phase translates basic sensory input to high-level commands to enhance swarm navigation and decentralized setup while maintaining the swarm's size fluctuations. While, in the island modeling, the swarm can split into individual sub-swarms according to number of targets, and conversely, these sub-swarms may join to form a single huge swarm, giving the swarm ability to track multiple targets. Customized state-of-the-art policy-based deep reinforcement learning algorithms are employed to achieve significant results. The promising results show that our proposed strategy enhances swarm navigation and has the ability to track multiple static and dynamic targets in complex dynamic environments. This paper describes an approach to personalized musculoskeletal modelling, in which the muscle represented by its triangular mesh is subject to deformation, based on a modified position-based dynamic (PBD) method, followed by decomposition of its volume into a set of muscle fibres. The PBD was enhanced by respecting some muscle-specific features, mainly its anisotropy. The proposed method builds no internal structures and works only with the muscle surface model. It runs in real-time on commodity hardware while maintaining visual plausibility of the resulting deformation. For decomposition, the state-of-the-art Kukačka method is used. Experiments with the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, iliacus and adductor brevis deforming during the simulation of the hip flexion and decomposed into 100 fibres of 15 line segments show that the approach is capable of achieving promising results comparable with those in the literature, at least in the term of muscle fibre lengths. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

We report a polarization-induced 2D electron gas (2DEG) at an epitaxial AlBN/GaN heterojunction grown on a SiC substrate. Using this 2DEG in a long conducting channel, we realize ultra-thin barrier AlBN/GaN high electron mobility transistors that exhibit current densities > 0.25 A/mm, clean current saturation, a low pinch-off voltage of -0.43 V, and a peak transconductance of ∼0.14 S/mm. Transistor performance in this preliminary realization is limited by the contact resistance. Capacitance-voltage measurements reveal that introducing ∼7 % B in the epitaxial AlBN barrier on GaN boosts the relative dielectric constant of AlBN to ΕrAlBN ∼ 16, higher than the AlN dielectric constant of ΕrAlN ∼ 9. Epitaxial high-K barrier AlBN/GaN HEMTs can thus extend performance beyond the capabilities of current GaN transistors. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

A clear understanding of the spectral components of an irradiated beam, or captured optical emission, is essential to optimize an optical system and increase its performance. Logically, for this purpose a grating-based spectrometer could be the first choice. However, in the case of a wide range spectrum, and for radiation with one dominant wavelength, this option may not work well. In this paper, we present a technique based on an array of bandpass detectors to measure accurately the power of a number of beam-specific spectral components in a wide spectrum range: from soft X-ray to infrared. The main unique features of this technique are: customization for specific wavelengths of interest; vacuum compatibility; and high sensitivity to low-energy spectral components in the presence of one or more dominant highpower spectral components.
