Banking produces extensive and diverse data, so a clustering process is needed to understand customer behavior patterns and transactions more effectively. This clustering has been widely utilized with the K-Means algorithm due to its simplicity and efficiency. However, this algorithm is limited in determining the optimal cluster center, affecting the accuracy of the clustering results. This study proposes applying two metaheuristic algorithms, Invasive Weed Optimization (IWO) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), as additional solutions combined with K-Means. These two algorithms were chosen because of their ability to find global solutions and convergence speed to handle large and complex banking data. The results show the superiority of IWOKM compared to PSOKM in terms of SSE and DBI. From the SSE value, IWOKM produces a lower value (3029.77), which indicates that this method is better at minimizing clustering errors and producing more accurate clustering than PSOKM (80007.09). From the DBI value, IWOKM also produces a better value (1.6684) than PSOKM (1.6782), which shows that the clusters produced by IWOKM are more compact and more separated. However, in terms of computation time, PSOKM is more efficient, with a faster average computation time. Although IWOKM produces better clustering quality, PSOKM offers advantages in terms of processing speed. This finding confirms that the selection of the IWO algorithm is more appropriate for use on datasets with characteristics such as the German Credit Dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

Interest in Wireless LAN 802.11 is climbing owing to its cost-effectiveness and simplicity of installation, yet its restricted Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities present obstacles for real-time apps. This endeavour aims to evaluate QoS characteristics and boosts by devising scenarios within the OPNET simulator. Through contrasting Wireless LAN 802.11e with the standard 802.11, our goal is to measure how advancements in allocated channel access can elevate performance levels. Findings show that the improved standard provides a more effective service mechanism, giving priority to traffic that is highly important while keeping latency within acceptable bounds, hence enhancing QoS support for contemporary applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Construction project management often involves optimizing time and cost while ensuring minimal environmental impact. This study presents an innovative hybrid approach combining non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm III (NSGA-III) and multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) to address the time-cost-environmental sustainability trade-off (TCEST) in construction projects. The proposed model aims to minimize project completion time and cost while maximizing environmental sustainability. A case study is conducted to validate the model, incorporating diverse construction activities and their respective time, cost, and environmental sustainability metrics. The results reveal Pareto-optimal solutions demonstrating significant trade-offs among the three objectives. The hybrid approach outperforms standalone algorithms in terms of solution diversity, convergence, and hypervolume indicators. Weighted sum methods are employed to select the most suitable solution from the Pareto front based on project priorities. Correlation analysis further explores interdependencies among objectives, emphasizing the feasibility of balancing these critical factors. The study contributes a robust decision-support tool for sustainable project planning, facilitating informed decision-making in modern construction management. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The implementation of blockchain technology is becoming popular among cyber-physical systems. However, the current solutions suffer from scalability and privacy issues. In this position paper, we leverage zero-knowledge proof and multichain technology to propose an efficient system for data transferring across different components. Each component may maintain a private chain storing its data, and the system acts as a relayer between different chains, in which multiple private chains are efficient for appending new data. Only encrypted data is transferred from a source chain to a destination chain. The relayer handles data transferring in two phases: send and receive, and the relayer keeps a Merkle tree of all sent data. In fact, it only transfers the data if the receiver can submit a valid zero-knowledge proof that proves the ownership of the data. The zero-knowledge proof discloses nothing but the statement is true;therefore it protects anonymity for the data owners. This system is secure and satisfies relevant properties such as ledger indistinguishability, transaction non-malleability, and matchability. © 2023, ICST Institute for computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

Recently, the internet has created a global community by connecting millions of individuals, devices, and organizations. Unfortunately, internet connectivity is still not available to many people around the world. To provide everyone with internet access, network infrastructures must be expanded, and internet connection costs must be reduced, particularly in developing regions. Therefore, Wireless Community Networks (WCNs) have emerged as a crucial alternative for individuals who lack direct access to internet services provided by traditional internet service providers. This research paper aims to investigate the routing protocols that have been widely employed in WCNs over the past decade. Specifically, it focuses on evaluating the strengths and limitations of these protocols to assess their effectiveness and reliability in establishing optimal routing paths for end-to-end message delivery across the network. A set of recommendations and future directions are proposed to facilitate further research into unresolved challenges related to WCN routing protocols. © (2024) International Association of Engineers. Presently,customer retention is essential for reducing customer churn in telecommunication *** churn prediction(CCP)is important to predict the possibility of customer retention in the quality of *** risks of customer churn also get essential,the rise of machine learning(ML)models can be employed to investigate the characteristics of customer ***,deep learning(DL)models help in prediction of the customer behavior based characteristic *** the DL models necessitate hyperparameter modelling and effort,the process is difficult for research communities and business *** this view,this study designs an optimal deep canonically correlated autoencoder based prediction(ODCCAEP)model for competitive customer dependent application *** addition,the O-DCCAEP method purposes for determining the churning nature of the *** O-DCCAEP technique encompasses preprocessing,classification,and hyperparameter ***,the DCCAE model is employed to classify the churners or ***,the hyperparameter optimization of the DCCAE technique occurs utilizing the deer hunting optimization algorithm(DHOA).The experimental evaluation of the O-DCCAEP technique is carried out against an own dataset and the outcomes highlighted the betterment of the presented O-DCCAEP approach on existing approaches.

With the advancement and availability of the internet in the present age, everything is being wireless. Be it our home appliances or high defined monitoring systems, Wireless sensor networks play an important role. But with advancement comes a high probability of getting attacked. One of these attacks is the Blackhole attack (BHA), in which a node drains all the traffic towards itself and discards the data traffic without sending it towards the receiver. There exist multiple approaches that help to protect a network against BHA, but existing approaches have some drawbacks. Many proposed schemes make sure that the given technique uses less energy but failed to reduce the packet drop ratio. In the detection of BHA, the proposed scheme should not only detect defected nodes but also manages the efficiency. The proposed methodology used mobile agents with authentication of nodes and trust values to detect black hole nodes. The methodology is tested using different evaluation measures such as energy consumption, latency, network life, and packet delivery ratio. The proposed method uses a detection algorithm that increases energy consumption and hence networks lifetime. Packet delivery rate is increased by 19.51%, the energy consumption is reduced by 53.3%, and network life is increased by 43.3% as compared to the previous technique. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays, secure and reliable management of logistics is highly needed. Logistics is the delivery of goods from producers to legitimate consumers in accurate amounts and good conditions. The use of low-capable sensor nodes in smart logistics makes it vulnerable to many security threats. Smart logistics necessitated the delivery of suitable information to the authorized person at the appropriate time and place, which is only feasible with a stable infrastructure. This paper presents an authentication scheme together with blockchain technology to provide a secure supply chain management system. The presented authentication mechanism is based on standard KERBOROS scheme which is a ticket-based scheme. The scheme is evaluated by BAN logic which shows that it is an effective scheme in terms of improved response time and encryption/decryption time along with key generation time. © 2023 IEEE.

Despite the increasing demand for AI-based mental health monitoring tools, their practical utility for clinicians is limited by the lack of interpretability. The CLPsych 2024 Shared Task1 aims to enhance the interpretability of Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly in mental health analysis, by providing evidence of suicidality through linguistic content. We propose a dual-prompting approach: (i) Knowledge-aware evidence extraction by leveraging the expert identity and a suicide dictionary with a mental health-specific LLM;and (ii) Evidence summarization by employing an LLM-based consistency evaluator. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of combining domain-specific information, revealing performance improvements and the approach’s potential to aid clinicians in assessing mental state progression. ©2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.
