A novel deep learning approach (Bi-xBcNet-96) considering green AI to discover breast cancer using mammography images

Clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) can effectively detect illnesses such as breast cancer (BC) using a variety of medical imaging techniques. BC is a key factor contributing to the rise in the death rate among women worldwide. Early detection will lessen its impact, which may motivate patients to have quick surgical therapy. computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems are designed to provide radiologists recommendations to assist them in diagnosing BC. However, it is still restricted and limited, the interpretability cost, time consumption, and complexity of architecture are not considered. These limitations limit their use in healthcare devices. Therefore, we thought of presenting a revolutionary deep learning (DL) architecture based on recurrent and convolutional neural networks called Bi-xBcNet-96. In order to decrease carbon emissions while developing the DL model for medical image analysis and meet the objectives of sustainable artificial intelligence, this study seeks to attain high accuracy at the lowest computing cost. It takes into consideration the various characteristics of the pathological variation of BC disease in mammography images to obtain high detection accuracy. It consists of six stages: identifying the region of interest, detecting spatial features, discovering the effective features of the BC pathological types that have infected nearby cells in a concentrated area, identifying the relationships between distantly infected cells in some BC pathological types, weighing the extracted features, and classifying the mammography image. According to experimental findings, Bi-xBcNet-96 beat other comparable works on the benchmark datasets, attaining a classification accuracy of 98.88% in DDSM dataset, 100% in INbreast dataset with 5.08% and 0.3% improvements over the state-of-the-art methods, respectively. Furthermore, a 95.79% reduction in computing complexity was achieved. © The Author(s) 2024.

Weather elements are pivotal in the pharmaceutical supply network, particularly for temperature-sensitive medications such as vaccines, insulin, and biologics. Centralized RANSAC-Based Point Cloud Registration With Fast Convergence and High Accuracy

For point cloud registration, the purpose of this article is to propose a novel centralized random sample consensus (RANSAC) (C-RANSAC) registration with fast convergence and high accuracy. In our algorithm, the novel contributions are, first, the proposal of a scale histogram-based outlier removal to delete outliers from the initial line vector set L for constructing a reduced line vector set Lred;second, the handshake cooperation between the host RANSAC (H-RANSAC) only working on L and the local RANSAC (LCL-RANSAC) only working on Lred;third, in each handshake process, after receiving the global registration solution and the global iteration number xH from H-RANSAC, LCLRANSAC uses the received global solution as the initial solution of the modified TEASER++ (M-TEASER++) method to calculate its first local registration solution. If the first local registration solution satisfies the global iteration number inheritance condition, LCL-RANSAC directly sends the accumulated iteration number, xH + 1, and the first local solution back to H-RANSAC;otherwise, LCL-RANSAC iteratively refines its local solution using the M-TEASER++ method, and then sends the resultant local solution and the required local iteration number xLCL to H-RANSAC for updating the global solution, the global iteration number to xH := xH + xLCL, and the global confidence level. Due to |Lred| |L| and employing the global iteration number inheritance condition test into our algorithm, we have conducted extensive experiments on testing point cloud pairs to show the registration accuracy and execution time merits of our algorithm relative to the state-of-theart methods. © 2008-2012 IEEE.

Background: Cloud services have become a popular approach for offering efficient services for a wide range of activities. Predicting hardware failures in a cloud data center can minimize downtime and make the system more reliable and fault-tolerant. Objective: This research aims to analyze a predictive hardware failure model based on machine learning that anticipates the required remediations for undiagnosed failures in a cloud computing system serving multiclass requests. Methods: The model is tested on a carefully designed cloud data center that categorizes incoming requests as web, compute, storage, and dedicated server requests. To demonstrate improved reliability, a carefully designed test case is run on ReliaCloud-NS, which is a simulator for creating a CCS and computing its reliability. Results: The work found that using this model considerably enhanced the reliability of cloud computing systems when compared to not using the model. Conclusion: Although various estimation methods are patented to evaluate the system reliability of a cloud computing network, the emphasis of this study was mostly on improving the reliability of request-segregated clouds upon failing hardware resources like CPU, memory, bandwidth, and hard disc. Moreover, the prediction model might potentially be expanded to other system resources such as GPUs, software, and database packages. © 2025 Bentham science Publishers.

This paper investigates the integration of monocular thermal imaging cameras into autonomous vehicles to address challenges faced by conventional sensors in adverse conditions. This study explores the performance of thermal cameras in low-light, darkness, and adverse weather, aiming to enhance safety and efficiency. To achieve that, the research proposes the development of machine learning algorithms tailored for interpreting thermal image. These algorithms would facilitate accurate object detection and road segmentation, overcoming limitations of conventional algorithms. The goal is to create a system that generates a bird's-eye view spatial map, highlighting drivable regions and detected objects. Comparative analysis shows that the proposed thermal camera architecture competes favorably, particularly in adverse conditions, compared to commonly used imaging sensors and architectures. © 2024 IEEE.

Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are used in drug discovery by offering a computational framework to generate novel molecular structures with preferred properties. This paper highlights GANs’ role in accelerating de novo drug design, enhancing virtual screening, and addressing data scarcity challenges. Evaluating chemical validity, diversity, and bioactivity prediction, GANs provide a versatile platform for generating molecules that align with pharmaceutical requirements. This paper emphasizes the ethical considerations, stability, and interpretability of GAN-generated structures, positioning GANs as a transformative force in reshaping and expediting drug discovery processes. The use of GANs in drug discovery holds promise for accelerating the identification of lead compounds, optimizing existing molecules, and exploring new avenues in pharmaceutical research. Rapid growth of digital educational content necessitates efficient and accurate methods for organizing and mapping resources to ensure well-alignment with targeted learning outcomes, academic standards, and competency frameworks. Traditional text classification approaches, including rule-based and classical machine learning techniques, often fail to address the semantic diversity and scalability demands of modern educational systems. This study investigates the application of neural networks for text classification to automate the mapping of educational content into predefined categories. Leveraging state-of-the-art architectures such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, and transformers like BERT, we present an architecture of a systematic Classification of educational materials. We discuss the implications of this work for adaptive learning environments, emphasizing the potential of neural networks to enhance the efficiency and scalability of content mapping. This study contributes to the growing body of research in artificial intelligence for education and sets the stage for further exploration into multilingual and domain-specific content classification methods. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.. Hierarchical blockchain-based secure data storage in cloud using Merkle tree approach

An authenticated manager must reinforce huge applications and operating systems, keeping information in the cloud while resisting potentially unreliable service providers. This article explores the presence of multiple service providers based on the cloud to store and manage customer information. It has investigated the creation of an optimal system for shared cloud storage to facilitate flexible operations and information migration. This paper uses the Merkle tree approach to describe the experimental outcomes and designs of security systems provided by blockchain in cloud computing. We proposed that good authenticity and security be implemented with minimal significant degradation. The method was based on the position of the conscious Merkle tree that employs a three-tuple technique that has proven reliable in terms of authentication and encryption of security functions. The proposed system performance was measured by parameters such as retrieval time of information in blockchain technology, cost of storage, and average time with conventional information storage methods. The results indicate that the proposed blockchain technology solution has a response time almost 50% faster than conventional methods. Also, it claims that the storage cost would be around 20% lower. The surrounding environmental and climatic conditions have a significant impact on the utilisation of ecosystem services for recreational purposes. Climate change poses a threat to future natural leisure opportunities because of this reliance. The way society functions is being challenged by climate change and significant adaptation will probably be needed to deal with future changes in weather patterns. Machine learning (ML) methods have advanced to the point that they are now being offered as a tool to support climate studies, in addition to being the source of advances in other fields of study. This research proposes a novel technique in marine life ecosystem–based climate change detection using deep learning model. Input is collected as climate change detection–based marine life ecosystem and processed for noise removal with normalisation. Then this data has been segmented and classified using watershed semantic fuzzy component analysis with quantile shrinkage convolutional regression model. The experimental analysis has been carried out in terms of training accuracy, specificity, recall, AUC and NSE. Suggested technique achieved training accuracy 98%, specificity 96%, NSE 45%, recall 95% and AUC 97%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The ease of communication that has been made possible by chat messaging platforms, such as WhatsApp and Line, and their increased use and ubiquity in society, have motivated purveyors of fake news to create and present their news as legitimate. Though different organisations continued their efforts to resolve this problem, many of the developed solutions rely on verifying the associated metadata, which are not always available. Several studies have attempted to identify fake news by analysing textual content;however, there is a lack of studies on Arabic language sources. Our work filled this gap;we proposed a machine learning model that classifies Arabic fake news based on textual analysis. This paper shows the feasibility of our approach to classify Arabic text in social media applications. © 2023 IEEE.
