The proposed system aims to enhance student transportation security through real-time face detection and recognition. Leveraging the MTCNN framework for accurate face detection and the FaceNet model for reliable face recognition, the system ensures only authorized students can board designated buses by comparing captured faces with a pre-registered database. In case of mismatches, alerts are triggered to notify drivers and authorities. Additionally, parallel implementation of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classifiers improves authentication accuracy. The system's deep learning-based architecture ensures robust performance under varying environmental conditions and supports continuous learning for long-term reliability. © 2025 IEEE.

Rapid mobility and frequent disconnection in vehicular networks makes multi-hop data delivery challenging. To address this concern, adaptive data forwarding is applied over vehicular networks in a named data networking environment. We have proposed An Interest Chain based Forwarding Mechanism (ICFM), which includes a chain based forwarding mechanism by employing fuzzy logic to evaluate the next chain member. Autonomous vehicles forward a packet to the next promising vehicle and in this way a chain is formed to satisfy interest with the requested data. The proposed fuzzy-based interest chain mechanism is used to forward a packet to destination and receive a corresponding data packet with decreased data delivery delay. Experimental analysis has been performed on ndnSIM to verify the performance of the suggested scheme. The scheme runs on different scenarios and efficiency has been observed in terms of interest satisfaction ratio, average number of interest packets, average number of data packets and average delay. © 2023 IEEE.

Efficient detection of defects in fabric plays a dominant role in automating quality control. It significantly enhances efficiency as well as accuracy of quality assurance in textile manufacturing. Skilled humans who physically examine defective designs in numerous sectors use traditional defect detection techniques. The main drawbacks of manual methods include deficiency of concentration, inaccuracy, weariness and increased time consumption. computer Vision (CV) and Digital Image Processing (DIP) techniques may be efficient in overcoming these shortcomings. The proposed approach involves data acquisition to record images which are subsequently pre-processed using histogram equalization to improve the defective area. A distinctive Neural Network (NN) is used for defect detection. This method improves precision and efficiency in identifying defects. The proposed method is built using Adaptive NNs (ANNs) along with Radial Basis Functions (RBFs) and is aimed at revolutionary identification of fabric flaws. The networks are built using attributes derived from images segmented using Expectation Maximization (EM) depending on target’s region attributes. Analysis of Bio Inspired Based Hybrid Learning Model for Software Defect Prediction

The software’s quality can be ensured through software testing, which is one of the critical methods. However, it was found that testing consumes more than half of the project's total expenses. Effective and efficient software testing utilizes minimal software resources to find as many flaws in the software system as possible. This paper presents research on software defect prediction using hybrid machine learning algorithm. The algorithm incorporates the benefits of supervised as well as unsupervised learning methodology that improves the accuracy of defect prediction. The study uses publicly available datasets from the open source PROMISE repository provided by NASA MDP to perform machine learning analysis and maximize accuracy. In particular, the study suggested a hybrid learning model and conducted a comparative analysis among Naïve Bayes, Multilayer Perceptron, Random Forest, CNN, Adaboost, and KNN on four different datasets namely CM1, KC1, KC2 and PC1. With respect to F1-score, accuracy, precision, and recall, the results show that the hybrid method performed better than the other methods. The study achieved an accuracy of 93.67% (BAT + CNN) on PC1 dataset, 92% on (Bat + CNN) for CM1 and KC1 respectively. This indicates that the hybrid learning technique of (BAT + CNN) is more potent than other methodologies in prediction of defects. The research can help software development teams identify potential bugs early on, leading to efficient and effective software creation. One useful approach for predicting software defects is the hybrid machine learning method, which can lead to improved software quality and lower maintenance costs. This aids the software testing phase by predicting the faulty modules with better accuracy thereby reducing the testing effort. This work focuses on the problem of distributed optimization in multi-agent cyberphysical systems, where a legitimate agent's iterates are influenced both by the values it receives from potentially malicious neighboring agents, and by its own self-serving target function. We develop a new algorithmic and analytical framework to achieve resilience for the class of problems where stochastic values of trust between agents exist and can be exploited. In this case, we show that convergence to the true global optimal point can be recovered, both in mean and almost surely, even in the presence of malicious agents. Furthermore, we provide expected convergence rate guarantees in the form of upper bounds on the expected squared distance to the optimal value. Finally, numerical results are presented that validate our analytical convergence guarantees even when the malicious agents compose the majority of agents in the network and where existing methods fail to converge to the optimal nominal points. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

In the contemporary years, the Internet usage has full-fledged and has made the advance of networking techniques to accomplish the necessities of better bandwidth, throughput and less latency. Software defined networking (SDN) is a technique which organizes the network functions intellectually by using software applications. One of the foremost challenges is load balancing amongst the manifold servers. Most of the applications cannot be performed well without employing load balancers. The existing load balancing mechanisms are basically either of two types: Static and Dynamic. In this paper the performance of static and dynamic load balancing algorithms are scrutinized. The simulation results of few static algorithms and a Dynamic algorithm are exposed in this paper. The relative analysis of the results of Static and Dynamic load balancing algorithms based on latency, throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio and Packet loss percentage are primed in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

A safe and adequate blood supply is essential for healthcare systems to function effectively. Accurately forecasting blood demand plays a key role in efficient inventory management and resource allocation. Traditional forecasting methods, like moving averages and ARIMA models, often fall short due to the complexity of factors influencing blood demand. This study introduces an innovative hybrid ensemble model that combines Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks with XGBoost, harnessing their combined strengths to enhance forecasting accuracy. By analyzing blood donation data from the Zakho Blood Bank (January 1, 2015—July 22, 2022), the model outperforms individual LSTM and XGBoost models, excelling in metrics such as Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). These findings underscore the potential of advanced machine learning techniques to improve healthcare supply chain management and ensure the timely availability of critical blood supplies. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Maintaining reliable and long-lasting road infrastructure requires accurate identification and management of pavement cracks, as these cracks can significantly weaken asphalt and concrete surfaces over time. Although Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and meta-heuristic algorithms have proven effective in solving real-world problems, their use in low-contrast pavement crack images is worth investigating. This study proposes an automated crack detection framework that integrates three key components: (1) a new variant of a pre-trained CNN architecture, referred to as Modified EfficientNetV2 (MEfficientNetV2) for pavement crack classification;(2) a combination of opposition-based learning with White Shark Optimizer (WSO), known as Opposition WSO (OWSO), to improve the balance between exploration and exploitation;and (3) Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for efficient dimensionality reduction and feature selection. This method is validated on various publicly available asphalt crack datasets that contain low-contrast natural images. Preprocessing techniques are first applied to eliminate noise and enhance image quality. The OWSO algorithm is then integrated to optimize the classification performance of MEfficientNetV2, while PCA accelerates the learning process by retaining critical features in the thresholds of the varying components. Comparative evaluations with state-of-the-art methods demonstrate that the proposed model excels in terms of precision, robustness, and generalizability. The outcome emphasizes its ability to identify the most effective solution for crack detection in practical scenarios, where PCA-based feature selection improves computational efficiency without compromising performance. This study focuses on the potential of hybrid deep learning and bio-inspired optimization strategies to improve automated pavement maintenance systems. © 2020 IEEE.
