To solve conservation laws,efficient schemes such as essentially nonoscillatory(ENO)and weighted ENO(WENO)have been introduced to control the Gibbs *** on radial basis functions(RBFs)with the classical WENO-JS weights,a new type of WENO schemes has been proposed to solve conservation laws[*** et al.,***.,70(2017),pp.551–575].The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new formulation of conservative finite difference RBFWENO schemes to solve conservation *** the usual method for reconstructing the flux functions,the flux function is generated directly with the conservative *** with Guo and Jung(2017),the main advantage of this framework is that arbitrary monotone fluxes can be employed,while in Guo and Jung(2017)only smooth flux splitting can be used to reconstruct flux *** 1D and 2D benchmark problems are prepared to demonstrate the good performance of the new scheme.

Attention-Based Deep Learning Model for Early Detection of Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease(PD),classified under the category of a neurological syndrome,affects the brain of a person which leads to the motor and non-motor *** motor symptoms,one of the major disabling symptom is Freezing of Gait(FoG)that affects the daily standard of living of PD *** treatments target to improve the symptoms of *** of PD at the early stages is an arduous task due to being indistinguishable from a healthy *** work proposed a novel attention-basedmodel for the detection of FoG events and PD,andmeasuring the intensity of PD on the United Parkinson’s Disease Rating *** separate datasets,that is,UCF Daphnet dataset for detection of Freezing of Gait Events and PhysioNet Gait in PD Dataset were used for training and validating on their respective *** results show a definite rise in the various performance metrics when compared to landmark models on these problems using these *** results strongly suggest that the proposed state of the art attention-based deep learning model provide a consistent as well as an efficient solution to the selected *** valueswere obtained for various performance metrics like accuracy of 98.74%for detection FoG,98.72%for detection of PD and 98.05%for measuring the intensity of PD on *** model was also analyzed for robustness against noisy samples,where also model exhibited consistent *** results strongly suggest that the proposed model provides a better classification method for selected problem.

The ocean's depths are among the most enigmatic regions on Earth, with geographical features, temperatures, and marine life remaining widely unexplored. The traditional forms of exploration confront water pressure, cold-temperature conditions, and a lack of energy resources. This research suggests a novel apparatus, that integrates quantum technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and cutting-edge sensors to address these issues and enhance ocean floor mapping, gas detection and element *** energy apparatus of the device is central to ensuring its functionality for a prolonged period. It employs thermoelectric generators exploiting the temperature difference between the cold waters located at depth and warmer surface layers and the microbial fuel cells (MFCs) that convert organic materials in ocean sediments into electricity. This hybrid energy combined cycle, therefore sustainable operation without external power *** sensors such as quantum-enhanced spectroscopy and mass spectrometers will be used for the detection and analysis of gases, trace elements and organic compounds. The balanced engineering systems integrated into the automated equipment will be used with the power distribution control and information processing in the real-time mode performed by the quantum neural networks (QNN). The system's adaptability, and accuracy and that system may function unattended for fairly long periods, this system presents an unprecedented device that should change the course of deep-sea studies as it will provide access to previously unreachable areas. © 2025 IEEE.

This study suggests an innovative method for helping people who are blind or visually handicapped by turning visuals into sounds. In the proposed system, audio descriptions are produced in real-time together with significant features that are extracted from photos using deep learning algorithms. The proposed work is developed to be user-friendly, which includes a simple interface that aids blind individuals to easily capture and process images using a mobile device. A user research was undertaken to assess the efficiency of the suggested method, and the results were encouraging in terms of precision and usability. This initiative offers a promising technique to give people who are blind or visually impaired an alternate means of perceiving and interacting with their environment, therefore improving their quality of life. The suggested picture to audio converter system aims to overcome the drawbacks of current assistive devices that rely on braille or textual descriptions. Blind people can more easily interpret visual information that is necessary for daily life, such as recognising items, interpreting signs, or navigate unfamiliar situations, through offering audio descriptions of images. The system makes use of recent deep learning developments that have significantly improved picture identification as natural language processing. As a result, the suggested technique has the ability to offer audio descriptions that are more precise and comprehensive than current methods. This technology has the potential to be implemented into a variety of products, from cellphones to intelligent glasses, and could significantly improve the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired. © 2023 IEEE.

The main challenge for billiard players, regardless of their skill level, is to develop a strategy that allows them to consecutively pocket balls in a single turn, commonly known as 'closing the table.' This strategy requires high precision and consistency, especially for less experienced players. This study integrates a YOLOv8n model, a shot suggestion algorithm, and a shot prediction algorithm to build a system that aids players in developing this 'table closing' strategy through visual guides indicating the shots to take and where to position the cue ball for the next shot. The proposed system follows these phases: (1) Selection of the video camera, (2) Selection of the object detection technique, (3) Development of the shot suggestion algorithm, (4) Development of the shot prediction algorithm, and (5) System construction. Phases (1) and (2) address the implementation of the YOLOv8n model, while phases (3) and (4) involve the development of algorithms for the 'table closing' strategy. To validate the system's effectiveness, an experiment with 24 players of different skill levels was conducted, showing that the system reduced the average number of shots needed to close a table to 22, compared to the 47-shot average of professional players. Beginners accepted 100% of the system's recommendations, while intermediate and professional players showed acceptance rates of 95.1% and 95.6%, respectively. A survey indicated high overall satisfaction, with a median response of 4.5 on a 5-point scale. The system also demonstrates significant competitive advantages over existing solutions by maintaining high detection and prediction accuracy while effectively functioning in real-world scenarios, leveraging the latest advances in computer vision to surpass older techniques in both effectiveness and efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

Monkeypox, a rare but potentially fatal viral disease, poses a significant public health challenge due to its potential for outbreaks and complications. Detecting monkeypox lesions early and accurately is vital to effectively manage and control the disease. This study introduces a novel method for classifying monkeypox lesions, employing data augmentation methods and a framework based on an ensemble of three transfer learning models called "SkinMarkNet". The dataset used in this research consists of skin lesion images collected from the Kaggle data repository, encompassing diverse demographics and lesion characteristics. This research uses image data augmentation techniques to tackle the scarcity of annotated data. This augmentation enriches the training dataset, thereby improving the model’s ability to perform effectively. Moreover, the novelty of this research work lies in the usage of three popular transfer learning models(Inception, Xception, and ResNet) for feature extraction and ensemble learning. The SkinMarkNet achieves promising results showing an accuracy of 90.615% for monkeypox lesion classification, outperforming traditional machine learning and deep learning methods utilized in recent research works. In addition, thorough comparative analysis is done with machine learning models and contemporary approaches to validate the efficacy of the proposed method. Overall, the findings underscore the potential of leveraging advanced deep learning architectures and data augmentation strategies for improving monkeypox lesion classification, thereby facilitating early diagnosis and intervention in clinical settings and public health surveillance efforts. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted education worldwide, leading to a transition from traditional in-person teaching to asynchronous online learning. Thanks to the valuable contributions of numerous high-quality educational content creators, online audiovisual materials have opened up boundless opportunities for cross-border, crossdisciplinary online learning. This removes geographical and temporal barriers and broadens the spectrum of learning resources available to individuals with diverse needs. Particularly for individuals with disabilities, mobility impairments, or social anxiety, online learning offers an inclusive and accessible environment, fostering the democratization and equity of education and ensuring highquality education regardless of physical conditions or locations. However, unlike foundational subjects, the learning process for arts heavily relies on live demonstrations by teachers and imitation by students, presenting a challenge in the online learning setting especially true for beginners as learning arts often necessitates personalized guidance and real-time feedback. To address this challenge, Mediapipe technology was used to capture the hand movements of both teachers and students in this study. Aeep learning model was used to analyze the similarity of pen-holding postures between students and teachers, thereby providing real-time feedback to supplement the lack of interactivity in online drawing learning and enhance learning outcomes. The developed learning method simulates the role of teachers in traditional classrooms and widens the scope of arts education, providing AI-powered tools for those interested in cultivating aesthetics and lifelong learning opportunities. For the care of the elderly, in addition to enhancing emotional and psychological well-being through aesthetics, the method can be utilized for rehabilitation or the assessment of degenerative conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper describes a new approach to the problem of interception of wireless communication channels between the legitimate users. Physical PHY Layer Security (PLS) is new topic enhancing the secrecy performance of a Multi-User Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) system for wireless communication from a single base-station to many users. Beamforming techniques such as "Pre-Maximum Ratio Combining (P-MRC) and Pre-Equal Gain Combining (P-EGC)"with assumption of perfect Channel State Information CSI is considered in order to achieve the perfect secure transmission between legitimate users. Along with beamforming, Artificial Noise (AN) is a technology that is being studied. The plotted achievable worst-case of secrecy rate down to the best secrecy rate value (threshold of secrecy rate) versus the power allocation fractions (The power splitting factor). The achieved threshold of secrecy rates for the implemented MU-MIMO were used by Matched Filter (MF) beamforming schemes (P-MRC) and (P-EGC) and suggested that the (P-MRC) is considered as an optimal beamforming technique in order to achieve a best secrecy rate or best threshold of secrecy rate for a nearest Information User (IU) to the Eavesdropper Eve. © 2023 IEEE.

Global aging presents profound challenges, especially concerning the well-being and mobility of the elderly. Fortunately, technological progress offers means for those with mobility limitations. With the aging population, the significance of the safety and accessibility of passive mobility methods becomes increasingly apparent. In this context, many individuals are using wheelchairs or other assistive devices to maintain their independence for daily mobility. Outdoor environments pose numerous challenges for wheelchair users, such as curbs, uneven road surfaces, and unexpected obstacles. These challenges elevate the risk of accidents and limit freedom of movement. To address these challenges and enhance the adaptability of assistive devices outdoors, we proposed a method by combining YOLOv8 for semantic segmentation with real-time edge detection of road scenes to accurately estimate curb positions. By leveraging the proposed method, various elements of the environment are accurately identified in real-time, including curbs and road conditions. Moreover, by calculating the distance between the wheelchair and the curbs, the system provides timely alerts and guidance to users regarding potential hazards or obstacles, empowering them to swiftly respond to their surroundings and avoid collisions for safety. For the elderly with visual impairments or declining reaction capabilities, the benefits of the system are significant. By enhancing safety, accessibility, and adaptability, the system revolutionizes mobility assistance and empowers individuals to lead more fulfilling and independent lives as they age. © 2024 IEEE.
