Project Risk management is the process of identifying, evaluating, avoiding, or reducing risks. Where there is no software project without risks existence are natural in the context of project planning and management. This study focuses on proposing an enhanced risk management approach where testing phases were added to make the risk management process more effective by proposing solutions to many mistakes and challenges that occur through dealing with risks. The proposed approach focuses on dealing with risks that cannot be easily defined, more accurate risk evaluation, planning, and managing risk coordinated with a contingency plan. © 2024 IEEE.

Oil spills represent a major environmental threat, particularly in marine ecosystems. Timely detection and segmentation of oil spills from satellite imagery is crucial for directing rapid response and remediation *** research concludes with an insights by developing a deep learning approach for automated detection and segmentation of oil spills from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) *** research implements and compares three algorithms PSPNET,DeepLapV3 and fully convolutional networks (FCN) with U-Net for semantic segmentation of SAR *** the networks are trained on a dataset of SAR images with pixel-wise labels indicating oil spill regions. This research also evaluates the segmentation performance using common metrics like intersection-over-union (IoU) and pixel-wise accuracy. Our results indicate that both FCN and U-Net can effectively detect and delineate oil spill regions, with U-Net demonstrating slightly higher IoU scores and with and accuracy of 95%. The deep learning models generalize well to unseen SAR images. Overall, this work demonstrates the feasibility of deep convolutional neural networks for automated analysis of SAR imagery to enable rapid oil spill response at marine environment. © 2024 IEEE.

In this era of big data, a lot of data is produced in various forms every second through various sources. Text data is one of those types that is produced mainly through social media like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube comments, WhatsApp, etc. To know the public's point of view on a specific issue, we can perform sentiment analysis on the text data collected from the above sites. Even though various algorithms have been proposed for sentiment analysis, these algorithms have issues of high time complexity and low context awareness, leading to low classification accuracy. To resolve the above issues, we propose an attention-based sentiment analyzer for real-world sentiment analysis named 'ASAnalyzer', which uses CNN+Attention-Based BiGRU. CNN is used to extract local features from the tweets, and then these features are used by Attention-Based BiGRU to learn the contextual information of the tweets and the long-term dependencies in both directions of the text, which helps to improve accuracy. To validate our algorithm, we used tweet data about the anti-COVID-19 vaccine from Twitter, and the results have shown that our method outperformed other state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Data is the lifeblood of the modern world, forming a fundamental part of AI, decision-making, and research advances. With increase in interest in data, governments have taken important steps towards a regulated data world, drastically impacting data sharing and data usability and resulting in massive amounts of data confined within the walls of organizations. While synthetic data generation (SDG) is an appealing solution to break down these walls and enable data sharing, the main drawback of existing solutions is the assumption of a trusted aggregator for generative model training. Given that many data holders may not want to, or be legally allowed to, entrust a central entity with their raw data, we propose a framework for collaborative and private generation of synthetic tabular data from distributed data holders. Our solution is general, applicable to any marginal-based SDG, and provides input privacy by replacing the trusted aggregator with secure multi-party computation (MPC) protocols and output privacy via differential privacy (DP). We demonstrate the applicability and scalability of our approach for the state-of-the-art select-measure-generate SDG algorithms MWEM+PGM and AIM. Copyright 2024 by the author(s)

Recent developments in the area of research on sign language recognition have led to making use of deep learning techniques with the goal to assist the self-learning transition of sign language from one language to another. In order to detect and classify characters from photographs in multiple sign languages, a number of deep-learning models, have been deployed. SLR is a prominent area of study and technology that aims to mitigate speaking barriers for individuals who unable to talk and listen. This involves the development of tools capable of understanding and deciphering sign language movements, hence facilitating a wider range of interactions for those who are difficult of listening and speaking. This paper demonstrates a novel model called CNN Inception Net, which is a neural network based on convolution. The use of an Indian sign dataset enables the achievement of a notable performance rate of 98.9%, enabling precise recognition of actions in the language of signs. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, a large number of AI-powered healthcare cyber-physical systems (CPSs) have been used in healthcare services. In order to provide better care, AI-powered healthcare CPSs analyze the data they collect using a variety of techniques. Data analysis for artificial intelligence (AI)-driven healthcare CPS is one of these approaches. However, none of the techniques in data analysis can provide a good representation of contiguous and negative information. Therefore, we are the first to introduce the problem of contiguous negative sequential pattern mining. A novel algorithm called Contiguous Negative Sequential Pattern Miner (CNSPM) is proposed to discover and analyze contiguous negative sequential patterns (CNSPs) from the data collected by healthcare CPSs. Finally, we select some real medical and non-medical datasets to conduct numerous experiments. We further analyze the discovered patterns and show how healthcare services can use meaningful patterns for medical decision-making. The performance results on these datasets demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can discover more valuable patterns efficiently and effectively from the collected and transformed medical data. © 2013 IEEE.

There is a considerably vast communication gap between deaf and hearing individuals, and one potential solution is the development of American Sign Language (ASL) recognition technology. While methods utilizing deep learning and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have shown promising results in general ASL recognition tasks, the potential of optimized CNN architectures for ASL recognition remains *** research identifies the ideal CNN structure to achieve best ASL recognition in static images. The VGG16 model has come out to be very effective;however, analyzing multiple CNN implementations may provide interesting perspectives which could in turn expose features that could potentially be helpful in ASL recognition. This experiment compares the performance of a fine-tuned ResNet50 CNN model with a baseline VGG16 model in ASL recognition. Online question-and-answer (Q&A) platforms are replete with extensive human resources support. This paper proposes a novel methodology of a customized Large Language Model (LLM) called Chaotic LLMs-based Educational Q&A System (CHAQS) to navigate the complexities associated with intelligent Q&A systems for educational sector. It uses an expansive dataset comprising over 383,000 educational data pairs, an intricated fine-tuning process encompassing p-tuning v2, Low Rank Adaptation (LRA), and strategies for parameter freezing at an open-source Large Language Model ChatGLM as baseline model. Also, Fuzzy Logic is implemented to regulate parameters, system's adaptability with Lee-Oscillator to refine model's response variability and precision. Experiment results showed that 5.12% improvement in Precision score, 11% increase in Recall metric, and 8% improvement in F1 score as compared to other models. © 2024 IEEE.

Efficient Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) trajectory generation is crucial for successful area coverage missions, aiming to maximize coverage while minimizing resource consumption. In this research, we present a comprehensive study on optimizing UAV trajectory generation using Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) with the Adam optimization algorithm. The DNNs are trained on historical data to produce smooth and continuous trajectories, thereby reducing abrupt changes in direction and enhancing overall efficiency during the mission. To evaluate the performance of the proposed approach, we conducted experiments comparing different activation functions, namely tanh, sigmoid, and ReLU, with the Adam-optimized DNN model. The trajectories generated by each activation function were analyzed using key metrics, including Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), and R-squared (R2) scores for both X and Y coordinates. The results of the comparative analysis revealed that the DNN model with the Adam optimizer exhibited superior performance over the other activation functions. It achieved lower MSE, MAE, and RMSE values, indicating better trajectory accuracy and smoother paths. Additionally, the R2 scores demonstrated a higher correlation between the generated trajectories and the actual trajectories, highlighting the model's ability to capture underlying patterns effectively. The findings underscore the significance of leveraging the Adam-optimized DNN approach for UAV trajectory planning, offering promising opportunities for resource optimization, increased mission success, and further advancements in autonomous aerial systems. This research contributes to the ongoing efforts in UAV path planning, optimization, and intelligent control strategies, paving the way for enhanced autonomous systems in various real-world applications. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. Event-based White Blood Cell Classification from Nailfold Capillaries

Detecting absorption gaps in a nailfold capillary can be used to quantify an estimation of white blood cells (WBCs). Previously, the absorption gaps in a nailfold capillary were usually measured using a standard camera on a fingernail. However, difficulties arise due to low visibility of the gap, the small size of the capillaries, the high speed of WBC movement, and the lack of contrast between the capillary and its environment/background. To address these issues, an event-based WBC image is utilized as input data to detect WBC existence in the nailfold. Specifically, we utilize a dynamic vision sensor (DVS) camera, which can detect a change in luminance on a pixel basis and can produce a stream of asynchronous event output at a microsecond temporal resolution. With the event-based WBC dataset, we conduct a classification task using three different machine learning algorithms: k-nearest neighbors, the decision tree, and random forest. The best result is from random forest with 75.51% accuracy. Based on our evaluation, event-based WBC classification is a promising new approach to detecting WBC presence in nailfold capillaries. © 2022 Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers.
