The development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for several companies operating in sectors such as tourism, healthcare, or others, presents significant challenges due to the nature of their multi-component architecture. A typical DSS consists of a data component, a model component incorporating machine learning and deep learning techniques, and a user interface component, each one requires diverse technologies. This complexity increases development time and effort, hindering the efficient design of DSS tailored to specific domains like tourism, where real-time decision-making is essential. One promising approach to overcome these challenges is the use of Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs). DSLs allow developers to model and generate code more efficiently by providing high-level abstractions suited to the domain. By leveraging DSLs, it is possible to simplify the design process and automate the generation of code or parts of the DSS, thereby reducing the overall complexity and time required for development. This paper proposes a metamodel for designing DSS, specifically for the Smart Tourism sector. The metamodel serves as a foundation for the creation of DSL. The goal is to provide a solution to facilitate the development of DSS for the demands of tourism. The paper outlines the key concepts, approach, and results, presenting the first element of the proposed DSL which is the metamodel capturing the essential components and relationships for DSS in Smart Tourism.

The objective of this study is to develop an exams item bank management system on the internet. The exam item analysis system is used to determine the reliability of the exams using K-R 20 and K-R 21 formulas. The difficulty and power of discrimination values are determined using a choice analysis and percentages of high and lower groups technique. The create exams set system can be performed randomly or identified through the difficulty level. The examination can be performed online and the exam results can be immediately announced. The grading system is used to support the decision-making to evaluate learning achievement. The system's accuracy was tested and found to be accurate compared with the hand calculation results. The system was tested with a sample group and satisfaction was assessed through questionnaires. The satisfaction of teachers and students was highest, while that of administrators was high. The developed exams item bank management system operates as a web application with a security system for supporting in learning activity. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) architecture has offered great benefits due to the separation between the control and network elements such as routers and switches. Unfortunately, the enormous growth of attacks hinders the wide adoption of SDN. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) are used as significant tools to detect and mitigate network attacks of anomalous nature. Several Deep Learning (DL) models, such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), have been utilized for building IDSs in cyber security in recent years, because they achieve the desired detection results. Nonetheless, little work has been introduced on IDSs in SDN systems. Hence, this paper presents an efficient framework based on intelligent techniques for predicting attacks in SDN systems. This work focuses on the early detection of abnormal attacks existing in an SDN environment. When malicious traffic is identified in an SDN topology, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) module employs Machine Learning (ML) or DL models to identify and stop the attack source. The architecture presented in this research allows for comparing several ML and DL classification techniques that can be used to identify different sorts of network attacks. The proposed framework is tested on the InSDN dataset using several learning models like Random Forest (RF), AdaBoost (AB), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Naïve Bayes (NB), Decision Tree (DT), and Logistic Regression (LR) classifiers. In addition, DL models such as Deep CNN and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) are considered. The results demonstrate that the proposed Deep CNN model for multi-class attack data classification achieves the highest accuracy of 99.85% compared to RF, AB, KNN, NB, DT, LR, and LSTM classifiers with accuracy levels of 95%, 88 %, 97%, 93 %, 90 %, 98%, and 88.31 %, respectively.

Large language models (LLMs) have garnered significant attention lately, and one particular implementation that has captivated users is ChatGPT, a first-of-its kind innovation that sparks intense debates among professionals regarding its ethical boundaries, especially after it was released for public use. Some of the debates are ongoing, with several people getting more used to this tool and some losing touch with several ethical concerns. Thus, it is crucial to explore the early professional’s perspectives surrounding ChatGPT to comprehend its potential impact on the educational sector and, in particular, society in general. This research aims to address this knowledge gap by employing data mining techniques on LinkedIn to analyze ChatGPT-related discussions and provide a comprehensive textual examination. The dataset for this investigation consists of 166 records written in English by LinkedIn users discussing ChatGPT in its early stage. The study utilized VOSviewer software to clean, analyze, mine, and visualize the data. Among the sample, it was observed that 49% of the users are PhD holders, predominantly with experience in scientific research and data science fields. Hence, the findings reveal that issues such as plagiarism, references, citations, manuscripts, papers, and literature reviews stand out as the major concerns. These results suggest that while ChatGPT can contribute to academic progress by fostering new knowledge, thoughts, and ideas, it can also facilitate academic misconduct, including plagiarism and inaccurate information dissemination. Therefore, this paper also provides discussions on the implications and ethical issues of ChatGPT. In particular, it is imperative to establish clear ethical boundaries and guidelines for the appropriate use of LLMs in academic settings. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Worldwide, breast cancer is one of the main causes of mortality among women. Only through early recognition of symptoms is it possible to limit the incidence of premature deaths. Utilizing standard deep-learning semantic segmentation, tumors are automatically segmented. It requires minimal human contact. The standard methods are less efficient and precise in accuracy. In this paper, we propose an Efficient-Net based Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (Efficient-Net ASPP) model for efficient and improved segmentation. The proposed model is comprised of an EfficientNetV2B3 backbone with dilated convolutional, skip connection, max pooling, and an ASSP block. A publicly available Malignant Breast Cancer Ultrasound (MBCU) subset image dataset was investigated in our study. Several baseline segmentation methods were compared with our proposed method. The quantitative benchmark analysis shows the proposed model for segmenting MBCU images achieved 70% intersection over union (IOU) and a 62% score on the Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) metrics. The proposed network improves MBCU image segmentation by 14% on DSC and 18% on IOU when compared to baseline models. © 2023 IEEE.

Extracting parameters accurately and effectively from solar photovoltaic (PV) models is crucial for detailed simulation, evaluation, and management of PV systems. Although there has been an increase in the development of analytical, numerical, and metaheuristic methods targeting this task, accurately determining these parameters continues to be a significant challenge. This study focuses on applying Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the extraction of key parameters of RTC France solar cells, a critical step towards enhancing PV system efficiency and reliability. Additionally, the PSO's performance is evaluated against other metaheuristic algorithms including Enhanced Chaotic JAYA (CJAYA), Performance-Guided JAYA (PGJAYA), and Enhanced Gradient-Based Optimizer (EGBO), underscoring the effectiveness of the proposed PSO-based approach. Utilizing MATLAB-SIMULINK, comprehensive analysis and results are presented, shedding light on the efficacy of PSO in addressing the intricacies of parameter extraction in PV systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Nowadays,due to the increase in information resources,the number of parameters and complexity of feature vectors *** offermore practical solutions instead of exact solutions for the solution of this *** Emperor PenguinOptimizer(EPO)is one of the highest performing meta-heuristic algorithms of recent times that imposed the gathering behavior of emperor *** shows the superiority of its performance over a wide range of optimization problems thanks to its equal chance to each penguin and its fast convergence *** traditional EPO overcomes the optimization problems in continuous search space,many problems today shift to the binary search ***,in this study,using the power of traditional EPO,binary EPO(BEPO)is presented for the effective solution of binary-nature *** algorithm uses binary search space instead of searching solutions like conventional EPO algorithm in continuous search *** this purpose,the sigmoidal functions are preferred in determining the emperor *** addition,the boundaries of the search space remain constant by choosing binary ***’s performance is evaluated over twenty-nine benchmarking *** evaluations are made to reveal the superiority of the BEPO *** addition,the performance of the BEPO algorithm was evaluated for the binary feature selection *** experimental results reveal that the BEPO algorithm outperforms the existing binary meta-heuristic algorithms in both tasks.

The shape and area of the crown of each tree are among the most influential parameters for identifying and controlling the processes of photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration and its management. In such a way that various physiographic functions, such as carbon dioxide absorption, light energy absorption, oxygen release and transpiration, which are vital for the growth and development of the tree, are done in the crown. In this research, the RGB image of the UAV with a spatial resolution of 2 cm was resampled to three pixel sizes of 10, 30 and 50 cm. Then, each image was classified separately by SVM, ANN and MLC algorithms, which are all part of Ensemble. In the next step, each of the obtained crowns was compared with the digitization of the same crown, and based on the area of the crown obtained from each classification and normalization method, the weight was obtained specifically for the same crown. Finally, by using the weighted majority voting method, classifications were fusioned at the decision level. The results showed that the ANN method gives better results in all pixel sizes compared to MLC and SVM. Also, the combination of different classification methods with the weighted majority voting method based on the weight assigned to the same crown based on each classification method has significantly increased the classification accuracy of the tree crown in all the sizes of the analyzed pixels. © Author(s) 2024.

The increasing preference for text-based communication on online chat applications has caused the number of social interactions to increase rapidly. However, text-based communication usually results in misunderstandings resulting from the absence of feeling intonation and emotions in the text. This study aims to create a chatbot that can detect emotions text to be entered into online chat applications. This study used a pre-trained model specifically trained from a collection of Indonesian-language datasets, namely IndoBERT-lite. The dataset used to train the model is a collection of Indonesian tweets totaling 4,403 which have been labeled with 5 classes of emotions, namely love, happy, anger, sadness, and fear. The hyperparameters used in this study to train the model were 5 epochs, batch size 16, learning rate 0.000003, and adam optimizer. Based on the test results with the parameters already mentioned, the accuracy, F1 score, recall, and precision values were obtained in the training set of 89%, 89%, 89%, and 90%, while the validation set obtained 70%, 71%, 70%, and 72%. © 2022 IEEE.
