This study examines the relationship between Quality of Service (QoS) and security in Wi-Fi networks. Using a detailed dataset consisting of QoS metrics of file transfers under various security configurations, we analyze the impact of these settings on network performance. Our findings provide a quantification to accurately show that different encryption protocols, such as TKIP and CCMP, significantly affect QoS, with disabling security generally improving performance. The study provides a framework for optimizing security settings to enhance both security and QoS in future wireless networks. © 2024 IEEE.

Recommendation systems have received a lot of attention lately due to their pivotal role in guiding users through the overwhelming volumes of information available online. This paper explores the integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques into recommendation systems to enhance their performance and user experience. The growth of the users has been increasing daily, to give them the satisfaction they want when scrolling through the feed. We have made a recommendation system using prominent technology. The system connects the user faster with their desired videos. To make a better system we have used React, Firebase, and Flask as the crucial elements of our work. We recommend the top 5 reels using some aspects. The aspects are hashtags, descriptions, and user id.

Despite recent progress in open-domain dialogue evaluation, how to develop automatic metrics remains an open problem. We explore the potential of dialogue evaluation featuring dialog act information, which was hardly explicitly modeled in previous methods. However, defined at the utterance level in general, dialog act is of coarse granularity, as an utterance can contain multiple segments possessing different functions. Hence, we propose segment act, an extension of dialog act from utterance level to segment level, and crowdsource a large-scale dataset for it. To utilize segment act flows, sequences of segment acts, for evaluation, we develop the first consensus-based dialogue evaluation framework, FlowEval. This framework provides a reference-free approach for dialog evaluation by finding pseudo-references. Extensive experiments against strong baselines on three benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and other desirable characteristics of our FlowEval, pointing out a potential path for better dialogue evaluation. © 2022 Association for Computational Linguistics.

In recent years, there has been a lot of interest in the use of fuzzy logic-based control systems to construct autonomous drone vehicles. This method makes use of fuzzy logic's adaptability and flexibility to guide drones safely through challenging surroundings. This study gives a comprehensive framework for the design and implementation of fuzzy logic-based control systems for autonomous drone vehicles. The three primary parts of the proposed framework are perception, decision-making, and control. The perception module processes sensor input, including visual and depth data, to provide accurate representations of the world. The decision-making module interprets the perception data and uses fuzzy logic methods to arrive at sensible choices for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The fuzzy logic system's decisions are converted by the control module into the right control signals that the drone will follow. The fuzzy logic-based control system also shows resilience and adaptation to changing environmental circumstances and uncertainties, making it appropriate for real-time applications. New opportunities for autonomous drone applications, such as surveillance, delivery services, and search and rescue missions, are made possible by the adoption of this architecture. Using fuzzy logic-based control systems to create autonomous drone vehicles is a viable way to provide effective and precise drone navigation in challenging conditions. By offering a holistic framework that blends perception, decision-making, and control utilizing fuzzy logic approaches, this research advances the development of autonomous systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Analysing Urban Noise and air Quality by Integrating Past Data Accompanying Projections for the Future. By joining predicting models accompanying Internet of Things technology, this study tackles the question of judging buzz and air kind in urban regions. To do this, a model was used to devise noise and PM2.5 heat maps. Open-beginning traffic data was again used for correct contextualization. Using this form, find the districts with extreme levels of contamination and crashes are likely situated on busy roads and technical zones. R2 principles of 0.93 for PM2.5 and 0.90 for blast showed that the forecasting models, which involve conclusion trees and convolutional affecting animate nerve organ networks, were completely correct in guessing the levels of dirtiness and crash. These findings demonstrate the significance of actively seeking out methods or policies that have no adverse impact on environmental issues in reports when formulating municipal plans. Furthermore, the study proposes strategies to enhance the city's conservation of natural resources, drawing on the conclusive findings. These procedures contain the exercise of reduced-issuance zones and the promotion of green fields. A joined and data-compelled plan is important for compensating policy selections in city preservation of natural resources, and this study creates a solid gift to both scientific knowledge and useful use in these fields.

Deep learning model for pleural effusion detection via active learning and pseudo-labeling: a multisite study

Background: The study aimed to develop and validate a deep learning-based computer aided Triage (CADt) algorithm for detecting pleural effusion in chest radiographs using an active learning (AL) framework. This is aimed at addressing the critical need for a clinical grade algorithm that can timely diagnose pleural effusion, which affects approximately 1.5 million people annually in the United States. Methods: In this multisite study, 10,599 chest radiographs from 2006 to 2018 were retrospectively collected from an institution in Taiwan to train the deep learning algorithm. The AL framework utilized significantly reduced the need for expert annotations. For external validation, the algorithm was tested on a multisite dataset of 600 chest radiographs from 22 clinical sites in the United States and Taiwan, which were annotated by three U.S. board-certified radiologists. Results: The CADt algorithm demonstrated high effectiveness in identifying pleural effusion, achieving a sensitivity of 0.95 (95% CI: [0.92, 0.97]) and a specificity of 0.97 (95% CI: [0.95, 0.99]). The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was 0.97 (95% DeLong’s CI: [0.95, 0.99]). Subgroup analyses showed that the algorithm maintained robust performance across various demographics and clinical settings. Conclusion: This study presents a novel approach in developing clinical grade CADt solutions for the diagnosis of pleural effusion. The AL-based CADt algorithm not only achieved high accuracy in detecting pleural effusion but also significantly reduced the workload required for clinical experts in annotating medical data. This method enhances the feasibility of employing advanced technological solutions for prompt and accurate diagnosis in medical settings. © The Author(s) 2024.

Efficient and accurate assessment of disaster-induced damage is paramount for effective disaster response and relief operations. Traditional methodologies reliant on manual analysis are often impractical for large-scale disaster areas. The challenges inherent in disaster damage assessment, such as varying environmental conditions, noise in satellite imagery, and the need for rapid response, are confronted through a multistep approach. We propose a novel approach leveraging the combined capabilities of EfficientNet and HRNet architectures for disaster damage detection in dual-temporal satellite imagery. By harnessing the unique strengths of these models, we aim to improve building localization and multi-level change detection. Extensive experimentation on a comprehensive building damage assessment dataset (xBD) showcases that our approach achieves state-of-the-art results. Based on our experiments, it was found that this method demonstrated the capability to detect disaster damage with an accuracy rate of 98.2%. This method could be applied to many real-world applications, including Emergency Response Planning and Management, Environmental Monitoring and Conservation, and Agricultural Damage Assessment, so that it could be applied in many different contexts.

Recent approaches to zero-shot commonsense reasoning have enabled Pre-trained Language Models (PLMs) to learn a broad range of commonsense knowledge without being tailored to specific situations. However, they often suffer from human reporting bias inherent in textual commonsense knowledge, leading to discrepancies in understanding between PLMs and humans. In this work, we aim to bridge this gap by introducing an additional information channel to PLMs. We propose IMAGINE (Machine Imagination-based Reasoning), a novel zero-shot commonsense reasoning framework designed to complement textual inputs with visual signals derived from machine-generated images. To achieve this, we enhance PLMs with imagination capabilities by incorporating an image generator into the reasoning process. To guide PLMs in effectively leveraging machine imagination, we create a synthetic pretraining dataset that simulates visual question-answering. Our extensive experiments on diverse reasoning benchmarks and analysis show that IMAGINE outperforms existing methods by a large margin, highlighting the strength of machine imagination in mitigating reporting bias and enhancing generalization capabilities. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

A natural or man-made calamity may nevertheless happen periodically, despite the many fire safety measures in place. In the case of a fire, we must deploy hazardous human resources to put out flames and save lives. Robots may very well replace people in the firefighting process due to advancements in technology, notably in robotics. Because they would not have to take the possibility of endangering people's lives, firemen would be more effective as a result. The foam and water systems will automatically detect fires thanks to an Arduino-built firefighting robot. We propose an authentication scheme for a multiagent system over integers, based on verifiable computation primitives. The naive approach, employing Freivalds' algorithm in centralized way, faces several challenges. Specifically, unreliability of the network introduces the risk of information tampering by other agents. To this end, it requires locally updating and merging the proofs of the individual states in a distributed manner. Our proposed method addresses these issues with assuming presence of a leader agent who is responsible for validating the correctness of all the states of the agents. This can be achieved by a distributed protocol that aggregates proofs from the individual agents, relying on the well-known knowledge-of-exponent assumption. By using this distributed protocol, computational complexity and communication cost are reduced compared to centralized verification. Furthermore, we incorporate a clustering technique to distribute storage requirements. © 2024 IEEE.
