Unsupervised Remote sensing change detection is very important because it addresses the problem of scarcity in the data availability in training. Some of the researchers are successful in finding the change regions but are not able to classify what changes happened in those regions. Nearly every study faces challenges in generalizing the fluctuations occurring during both the growing and non-growing seasons. The current study utilizes a novel architecture consisting of two parts. The first part involves proposing change regions through the change vector calculation method and applying Otsu's Thresholding on the calculated change vectors, while the second part entails classifying these proposed change regions into vegetation change, building change, and non-change regions. non-change region classification process aims to eliminate false changes identified by the change vector analysis and Otsu's Thresholding. In the second stage, NDVI, NDWI, and NDMI indices are compared and the resulting change mask obtained is subjected for element-wise multiplication operation with the change mask obtained in the first stage. The study addressed the challenge of generalizing short-term changes, such as those occurring during the growing and non-growing seasons, by computing the median of pixels over a time range encompassing both types of changes. Additionally, the method was fine-tuned using NIT Puducherry data from two time periods. Subsequently, the entire Karaikal district was considered to examine the changes comprehensively. The present study outperformed different state of the art methods like CVI_OTSU, PCI_Kmeans, Continuous Change Detection and Classification (CCDC). The present study got better results with an accuracy of 86.07 and kappa coefficient of 0.7898. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, social media has been widely explored as a potential source of communication and information in disasters and emergency situations. Several interesting works and case studies of disaster analytics exploring different aspects of natural disasters have been already conducted. Along with the great potential, disaster analytics comes with several challenges mainly due to the nature of social media content. In this paper, we explore one such challenge and propose a text classification framework to deal with Twitter noisy data. More specifically, we employed several transformers both individually and in combination, so as to differentiate between relevant and non-relevant Twitter posts, achieving the highest F1-score of 0.87. © 2022 Copyright for this paper by its authors. Determining the critical factors affecting antenatal visits will greatly contribute to reducing maternal and infant mortality. This study, thus attempted to construct a cluster-based predictive model to determine the critical factors of antenatal care follow-up among women in Ethiopia using two-step machine learning techniques. The 5,990 preprocessed obstetric dataset with 13 selected attributes were used that was collected from the Dabat Research Center at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. To solve the study problem, six cluster models were developed using K-means, Expectation Maximization and Make Density clustering algorithms, which are well-suited for analyzing health datasets, providing scalability, flexibility, robustness to noise, and the ability to handle uneven cluster sizes. K-means out-formers Density based and Expectation Maximization clustering algorithms with minimum number of sum of square errors (17094) and number of iteration (3). Then, output of the K-means cluster model was used as input to segment the dataset and build a total of 21 predictive models using the tree-based J48 classifier, PART and JRip rule generators while adjusting their parameters. The model for predicting antenatal care follow-up is constructed by induction of the truncated PART rule (accuracy of 99.93%) and extracts attributes of interest such as antenatal care attendance, antenatal care location, antenatal care frequency, current vaccination, woman's age, and HIV testing to predict antenatal care follow-up in the study area. © 2024 IEEE.

In the context of Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS), the role of vehicle detection and classification is indispensable for streamlining transportation management, refining traffic control, and conducting in-depth accident analyses. However, the intricate task of accurately detecting multi-oriented vehicles in diverse scenarios remains a challenge, even with the advancements in ITS. Factors such as vehicle morphology, design, road conditions, structural details, and climatic variables provide a significant part in the detection. To address this, our study introduces an advanced YOLOv8n model, specifically the YOLOv8n-CGW, which is built upon pre-trained deep learning frameworks. This model is meticulously tailored to enhance the detection capabilities for multi-oriented vehicles. Comprehensive evaluations on esteemed datasets like MtV, MERGED, Custom dataset, DAWN, WEDGE, and UA-DETRAC underscore the superiority of our approach over existing models. Notably, our YOLOv8n-CGW model achieves a remarkable mAP of 83.3% and boasts a swift inference time of 0.0019s, setting a new benchmark in the domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In solving the problem of automated analysis of football match video recordings, special video cameras are currently used. This work presents a comparative characterization of known algorithms and methods for video camera calibration, including those utilizing machine learning and neural networks, with the aim of identifying their shortcomings and forming a theoretical foundation for developing modern, more effective methods and algorithms. Specifically, it examines both algorithms that require more input data but operate quickly [1, 2] and more accurate algorithms using machine learning [3, 4, 5, 6, 5]. It is demonstrated that their main drawback is either accuracy or speed. More accurate algorithms using machine learning often do not specify the algorithm's operational speed, which precludes their use in real-time applications. The examined works that emphasize speed frequently lack the accuracy necessary for practical use in real-life scenarios. Copyright © 2024 for this paper by its authors.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) offer the immense capability for allowing novel applications in a variety of domains including security, military, surveillance, medicine, and traffic monitoring. The prevalence of UAV systems is due to the collaboration and accomplishment of tasks efficiently and effectively. UAVs embedded with camcorders, GPS receivers, and wireless sensors propose enormous promise in realizing the Internet of Things (IoT) service delivery in vast domains. It results in establishing an airborne field of the IoT when empowered with communication protocols of LTE, 4G, and 5G/6G networks. However, numerous difficulties must be addressed before UAVs may be used effectively namely privacy, security, and administration. Conspicuously, in the current article, novel UAV-specific domains enabled by IoT and 5G/6G technology are explored. Moreover, the presented technique assesses sensor requirements and provides an overview of fleet management systems that address aerial networking, privacy, and security concerns. Furthermore, a framework based on the IoT-5G/6G aspect is proposed which can be deployed over UAVs. Finally, in a heterogeneous computational platform, the proposed framework provides a complete IoT architecture that enables secure UAVs. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Throughout the use of the small battery-operated sensor nodes encou-rage us to develop an energy-efficient routing protocol for wireless sensor networks(WSNs).The development of an energy-efficient routing protocol is a mainly adopted technique to enhance the lifetime of *** routing protocols are available,but the issue is still *** is one of the most important techniques in the existing routing *** the clustering-based model,the important thing is the selection of the cluster *** this paper,we have proposed a scheme that uses the bubble sort algorithm for cluster head selection by considering the remaining energy and the distance of the nodes in each ***,the bubble sort algorithm chose the two nodes with the maximum remaining energy in the cluster and chose a cluster head with a small *** proposed scheme performs hierarchal routing and direct routing with some energy *** simulation will be performed in MATLAB to justify its performance and results and compared with the ECHERP model to justify its ***,the simulations will be performed in two scenarios,gate-way-based and without gateway to achieve more energy-efficient results.

Recent advancements in Smart Assistants (SAs) as well as home automation have captured the attention of both researchers and consumers. Virtual Assistants (VAs) that are speech-enabled are commonly referred to as smart speakers. They offer a wide range of network-based services. In some cases, they seamlessly link to smart environments, introducing innovative and efficient user interfaces. Nevertheless, these devices present their own set of challenges and limitations. The distinctive features of this technology, particularly its hand-free operation handled by voice and implementation of voice-user interface create a unique landscape. Existing technology adoption models, however, fall short in offering a comprehensive explanation for the adoption of this innovative technology. To gain deeper insights into the motivation behind approving and using in-home voice assistants, this work shifts its focus towards examining voice interactions. Utilization of speech recognition for converting speech into text enables constructing an attractive personalized assistant. This development facilitates seamless tasks such as sending emails without manual typing, conducting Google searches without opening the browser, and accomplishing various daily activities including playing music or launching a preferred IDE, all with a single voice command. To assess its performance, the system is seamlessly integrated with home automation (open-source) environment and operated continuously for some days. During this period, users are encouraged to interact with it, and the results demonstrate increased accuracy, reliability and appeal. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The research on complex human body motion including sports and workout activity recognition is a major challenge and long-lasting problem for the computer vision community. Recent development in deep learning algorithms to track people's workout activity characteristics based on video sensors can be used to infer the human body pose for further analysis. Specifically, tracking complex body movements while performing multi-pose physical exercise helps individuals provide fine granularity feedback including activity repetition counting and activity recognition. Therefore, this research proposes a system that provides a repetition counter and activity recognition of physical exercise from video frames (extracted 3D human skeleton using VIBE) based on the deep semantic features and repetitive segmentation algorithm. The proposed system locates both ends of the activity's action and segments the activity into multiple unit actions which improves activity recognition, time intervals, # of sets, and other quantitative values of activity. The proposed system is evaluated on the physical activities dataset named "NOL-18 Exercise"through extensive experiments. The proposed system results show that the accuracy of the repetitive action segmentation is 96.27% with 0.23% time error, and action recognition reaches 99.06%. The system can be employed to fitness or rehabilitation centers and used for treating patients. © 2013 IEEE.
