Crop pests can significantly impact productivity, making early detection and prevention crucial for management. Machine learning approaches are being used to forecast crop diseases using a variety of data sets. Relatively easy access to the environment data has resulted in a lot of attempts at predicting diseases and pests using this data. In this research, we provide a model that uses deep learning technique known as Simplified YOLO 3.1 architecture to examine past crop growth environment data to forecast illnesses. Utilizing large public datasets on crops such as tomato, pepper, grape, strawberry, and paprika, we show that the model is capable of accurately forecasting crop pest and disease risk. With an average accuracy of 98% and precision of 96%, it showed excellent predictive power. The anticipated results can help with post-harvest processing or insect control. It is expected that this learning framework and crop disease prediction model, which is based on environmental data, will be extensively useful for the prevention of pests and diseases in various facilities and crops. © 2025 IEEE.

People’s usage of smart wearable devices and sensors plays a crucial role in VLSI technology. The wearable devices are embedded in clothes, smartwatches, and accessories. The wear gadgets like smart rings, smartwatches, and smart spectacles are associated with human healthcare monitoring, actual period location discovery and portable online games, etc. This paper presents a survey of the recent usage of wearable devices and sensors with VLSI technology. Three key features considered to make user-friendly smart wearable devices: They are security, performance, and deployment cost. Almost all wearable devices are equipped with Bluetooth communication and screen displays like smartwatches and smartphones. The primary goal of this research is to minimize the power consumption for wearable devices. Enhanced Clickbait Detection through Ensemble Machine Learning Techniques

Nowadays online news websites are one of the quickest ways to get information. However, the credibility of news from these sources is sometimes questioned. One common problem with online news is the prevalence of clickbait. Clickbait uses exaggerated headlines to lure people to click the suspected link, but the content often disappoints the reader and degrades user experience it may also hamper public emotions. The proposed work aims to examine diverse set of models for clickbait detection. The models are formed by integration of Machine learning (ML) and Ensemble learning methods (EL) with Term Frequency and Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) & Embedding technique. Five ML and three EL are analysed &compared. Random Forest along with TF-IDF gave the best results of 85%. The resultant model shows significant improvements with a minimal false-positives.

A surveillance system detects emergency vehicles stuck in traffic. This system helps manage traffic because the number of vehicles on the road has been increasing daily for years, causing congestion. This project implements Deep ConvNet2D (Convolutional Network 2D) and computer Vision emergency vehicle recognition. We propose a CNN-based real-time image processing model for emergency vehicle detection. The signal control unit can be set to terminate the round robin sequence when an emergency vehicle is detected. A CNN trained on Indian ambulance images solves the problem. Tensor Flow, a Python library, was used for training. Our method detects and classifies emergency cars well. Existing systems use ANN algorithm, which is inaccurate and inefficient. The system uses Deep ConvNet2D Algorithm. The proposed real-time system is accurate. The proposed system loads and executes faster than the existing system. The system is efficient, scalable, and enhanced for complex use cases. © 2024 IEEE.

COVID-19 is a respiratory disease for which reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is the standard detection method. This study introduces a hybrid deep learning approach to support the diagnosis of respiratory abnormalities, using COVID-19 as a case study. Multiple datasets were utilized, including the COVID-19 Radiography dataset (Kaggle), the SARS-CoV-2 CT-Scan dataset, and proprietary data from the King Faisal Medical Complex. Seven pre-trained deep learning models—VGG16, VGG19, MobileNet, DenseNet201, ResNet50, InceptionResNetV2, and InceptionV3—were evaluated for their performance. InceptionResNetV2 and InceptionV3 achieved perfect accuracy (100%) on the COVID-19 Radiography dataset and 99% accuracy on the SARS-CoV-2 CT-Scan dataset. Additionally, augmentation techniques were explored to improve model robustness. This research contributes significantly to medical imaging, offering practical insights for advancing diagnostic and monitoring practices for COVID-19 and other respiratory conditions. ©2024 IEEE.

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) are wireless networks that are self-configuring, infrastructure-less, and dynamic. The nodes in these networks have limited access to available resources. MANETs use intrusion detection systems, also known as IDS, to monitor activities in order to identify any potential intrusions into the network, which would otherwise be vulnerable. In this study, we offer efficient techniques for maximizing the length of time that intrusion detection systems need to be active in a mobile ad hoc network and monitoring how much time they need to be active for. The dissemination of a probabilistic model that makes use of neighborhood node IDS collaboration in order to reduce the amount of individual active time. In order to monitor network activities, an IDS often needs to be running nonstop on every node. In terms of electricity and processing resources, this could end up being a costly overhead for a mobile device that runs on batteries. We therefore want to shorten the IDSs' active time in this work without sacrificing their effectiveness. We simulate the interactions between IDSs as a multiplayer cooperative game with partially cooperative and partially opposing aims in order to validate our suggested methodology. We investigate this game theoretically and provide evidence from simulations. © 2024 IEEE.

As the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe,social media plat-forms became an essential source of information and communication for *** students,particularly,turned to Twitter to express their struggles and hardships during this difficult *** better understand the sentiments and experiences of these international students,we developed the Situational Aspect-Based Annotation and Classification(SABAC)text mining *** framework uses a three-layer approach,combining baseline Deep Learning(DL)models with Machine Learning(ML)models as meta-classifiers to accurately predict the sentiments and aspects expressed in tweets from our collected Student-COVID-19 *** the pro-posed aspect2class annotation algorithm,we labeled bulk unlabeled tweets according to their contained aspect ***,we also recognized the challenges of reducing data’s high dimensionality and sparsity to improve performance and annotation on unlabeled *** address this issue,we proposed the Volatile Stopwords Filtering(VSF)technique to reduce sparsity and enhance classifier *** resulting Student-COVID Twitter dataset achieved a sophisticated accuracy of 93.21%when using the random forest as a *** testing on three benchmark datasets,we found that the SABAC ensemble framework performed exceptionally *** findings showed that international students during the pandemic faced various issues,including stress,uncertainty,health concerns,financial stress,and difficulties with online classes and returning to *** analyzing and summarizing these annotated tweets,decision-makers can better understand and address the real-time problems international students face during the ongoing pandemic.

In response to growing security concerns and the increasing demand for face recognition (FR) technology in various sectors, this research explores the application of deep learning techniques, specifically pre-trained Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models, in the field of FR. The study harnesses the power of five pre-trained CNN models—DenseNet201, ResNet152V2, MobileNetV2, SeResNeXt, and Xception—for robust feature extraction, followed by SoftMax classification. A novel weighted average ensemble model, meticulously optimized through a grid search technique, is introduced to augment feature extraction and classification efficacy. Emphasizing the significance of robust data pre-processing, encompassing resizing, data augmentation, splitting, and normalization, the research endeavors to fortify the reliability of FR systems. Methodologically, the study systematically investigates hyperparameters across deep learning models, fine-tuning network depth, learning rate, activation functions, and optimization methods. Comprehensive evaluations unfold across diverse datasets to discern the effectiveness of the proposed models. Key contributions of this work encompass the utilization of pre-trained CNN models for feature extraction, extensive evaluation across multiple datasets, the introduction of a weighted average ensemble model, emphasis on robust data pre-processing, systematic hyperparameter tuning, and the utilization of comprehensive evaluation metrics. The results, meticulously analyzed, unveil the superior performance of the proposed method, consistently outshining alternative models across pivotal metrics, including Recall, Precision, F1 Score, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), and Accuracy. Notably, the proposed method attains an exceptional accuracy of 99.48% on the labeled faces in the wild (LFW) dataset, surpassing erstwhile state-of-the-art benchmarks. In Medical question-answering (QA) tasks, the need for effective systems is pivotal in delivering accurate responses to intricate medical queries. However, existing approaches often struggle to grasp the intricate logical structures and relationships inherent in medical contexts, thus limiting their capacity to furnish precise and nuanced answers. In this work, we address this gap by proposing a novel Abstractive QA system MEDLOGIC-AQA that harnesses First Order Logic (FOL) based rules extracted from both context and questions to generate well-grounded answers. Through initial experimentation, we identified six pertinent first-order logical rules, which were then used to train a Logic-Understanding (LU) model capable of generating logical triples for a given context, question, and answer. These logic triples are then integrated into the training of MEDLOGIC-AQA, enabling effective and coherent reasoning during answer generation. This distinctive fusion of logical reasoning with abstractive QA equips our system to produce answers that are logically sound, relevant, and engaging. Evaluation with respect to both automated and human-based demonstrates the robustness of MEDLOGIC-AQA against strong baselines. Through empirical assessments and case studies, we validate the efficacy of MEDLOGIC-AQA in elevating the quality and comprehensiveness of answers in terms of reasoning as well as informativeness. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.
