Weather significantly influences agricultural productivity. Plant biotic and abiotic stressors are primarily induced by climate change, resulting in a detrimental effect on worldwide agricultural productivity. These two components are closely interconnected. This paper presents an innovative approach in smart agriculture for climate change combining remote sensing and a deep learning algorithm. The input is obtained as a multispectral environmental image and then subjected to noise reduction and normalisation processing. The image has been retrieved using a primary convolutional component with a stacked encoder model. The retrieved features are identified using ResNet graph reinforcement neural networks. The resulting classification output displays environmental imagery depicting climate variations. The agriculture sector has been analysed based on the classified climate analysis. The experimental results have been conducted on diverse farm datasets related to climate change, evaluating the detection accuracy, recall, mean average precision, normalized correlation, and F-1 score. The proposed method achieved a detection accuracy of 98%, a normalised correlation of 95%, a mean average precision of 92%, a recall of 97%, and an F-MEASURE of 94%. Machine learning can assist in monitoring and predicting the impact of climate change on food security, as indicated by the findings. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

This work examines the performance of various LSTM (long short-term memory) variants on social media text data. This study evaluates the performance of LSTM models with different architectures, namely, classic LSTM, Bidirectional LSTM, Stacked LSTM, gated recurrent unit (GRU), and bidirectional GRU, on a social network dataset comprising texts extracted from multiple social media platforms. We aim to identify the most effective LSTM variant of the five considered LSTM models for text analysis through a comparative study of the models' precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy. The research findings show that the Classic LSTM and the GRU model perform better than the other models in accuracy. In contrast, the bidirectional models (Bidirectional LSTM and Bidirectional GRU) provide better precision scores than their respective primitive models. This research has significant implications for developing more efficient models for natural language processing applications. It offers beneficial insights into the implications involving the scrutiny of depression on social media platforms through text data analysis. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

One common clinical symptom seen in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients is freezing of gait (FOG). It manifests as an irregular gait, marked by abrupt, involuntary stopping of movement during gait episodes. FOG entails a major negative effect on PD patients' quality of life. In this work, we analyze the movement data that is collected using the lower-back 3D accelerometer worn by the patients during FOG episodes. By employing machine learning methods to classify this data, we aim to accurately detect FOG trends. In particular, we focus on Deep Learning-based techniques, specifically an attention-based 1D Convolutional Neural Network (1D-CNN), due to their capacity to extract intricate features from unprocessed sensor input. Our results indicate that the proposed model achieves AUC scores of 0.9032 with respect to the TDCSFOG dataset and 0.8682 for the DeFOG dataset, for a combined average AUC of 0.8857. Mean Average Precision (mAP) scores for TDCSFOG and DeFOG reach 0.8388 and 0.779, respectively, for an average of 0.8089, showing the ability of the model to predict FOG occurrences over time. These findings suggest techniques based on Deep Learning enhance FOG detection, allowing clinicians to more effectively tailor treatments and care strategies for Parkinson's patients, thus enhancing their ability to move and overall well-being. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of artificial intelligence, advancements in navigation systems for self-driving cars have become a new direction over the last decade. The inclusion of AI-driven actuators in autonomous vehicles has broken the barriers in terms of real-time high-quality data processing resources, accuracy of decisive actions and generalization of environment-action pairs. Upgradation from a car with no automation to a car with minimal to no human intervention has become a boon of AI, as it resolves most of the transportation problems on roads, including human error, lack of visibility in adverse weather conditions, tiredness of drivers in long journeys, etc. This study focuses on AI-enabled tasks, including object detection and identification, lane detection, notification for lane departure and reinforcement learning from the operational environment. However, there exist serious issues in deploying AI-empowered modules in autonomous cars, as the consumer rights to explain, trustworthiness, and reliability of the machine have not yet met the requirements. Our work explores the needs and prospects of AI sovereignty in autonomous driving by overcoming the aforementioned issues so that the healthy progress of technological society can take care of the future world. © 2023 IEEE.

As the importance of sustainable practices in the automobile sector grows, it's critical to anticipate motorcycle prices and offerings. With so many variables to consider when buying a secondhand motorcycle-condition, mileage, brand reputation, model characteristics, etc.-accurate pricing prediction is essential for both customers looking for good values and sellers hoping to maximize profits. This study investigates the effectiveness of four machine learning techniques Decision Tree models, Support Vector Regression (SVR), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) Regressions-in predicting motorcycle prices using a dataset obtained from motorcycle merchants. It's noteworthy that these methods are used with a hybrid architecture to improve prediction accuracy. Different approaches are compared and contrasted to find the best fit for the given dataset, and the difficulties and roadblocks that come with them are also discussed. After extensive testing, the decision tree model's effectiveness is shown with an amazing 97% accuracy rate, providing accurate price estimates that are essential for encouraging sustainable habits in the ever-changing Internet of Things environment. With an impressive accuracy rate, this methodology provides precise pricing estimations, which are critical for supporting sustainable practices in the automotive industry. © 2024 IEEE.

Ever Increasing demand of Cloud Computing paradigm has resulted in widespread development and deployment of multiple fog nodes to cloud assisted internet of things networks as it is highly capable of providing the users with on demand and low latency services through mobile collaborative devices in the edge of multiple clouds. Mobile Collaborative Devices is used for fog computing with integrated storage, computing and communication capabilities. However it offers improved efficiency and increased flexibility. Despite of multiple advantageous of fog based cloud assisted internet of things, security of the user data and their privacy can be compromised during data aggregation. In addition, it faces huge challenges in effectively aggregating the data and transmitting to the cloud server on establishing the strong security. In order to enhance the security of the user data and to preserve the privacy of the user information along establishing a secure data aggregation and transmission, a new light weight convolutional attention network is proposed in this article. It establishes secure data aggregation and data transmission to the distributed cloud data centers efficiently. Fog attention graph convolutional network leverages neighbour fog data efficiently and securely from dataset and represents in form of graph. Attention coefficient is assigned to each fog data represented in graph structure and attention score is calculated to each update of the nodes in graph. Specifically softmax function employs ID3 decision tree classifier and K anonymization mechanism to aggregates fog data on basis of updates of the attributes of the fog nodes in terms of the attention score and transmits aggregated data to the distributed cloud server. Road Side Units(RSUs)are the essential component of vehicular communication for the objective of improving safety and mobility in the road *** are generally deployed at the roadside and more specifically at the intersections in order to collect traffic information from the vehicles and disseminate alarms and messages in emergency situations to the neighborhood vehicles cooperating with the ***,the development of a predominant RSUs placement algorithm for ensuring competent communication in VANETs is a challenging issue due to the hindrance of obstacles like water bodies,trees and *** this paper,Ruppert’s Delaunay Triangulation Refinement Scheme(RDTRS)for optimal RSUs placement is proposed for accurately estimating the optimal number of RSUs that has the possibility of enhancing the area of coverage during data *** RDTRS is proposed by considering the maximum number of factors such as global coverage,intersection popularity,vehicle density and obstacles present in the map for optimal RSUs placement,which is considered as the core improvement over the existing RSUs optimal placement *** is contributed for deploying requisite RSUs with essential transmission range for maximal coverage in the convex map such that each position of the map could be effectively covered by at least one RSU in the presence of *** simulation experiments of the proposed RDTRS are conducted with complex road traffic *** results of this proposed RDTRS confirmed its predominance in reducing the end-to-end delay by 21.32%,packet loss by 9.38%with improved packet delivery rate of 10.68%,compared to the benchmarked schemes.

This paper describes the collection and analysis of feedback data which is crucial for evaluating the success of any event and identifying areas of improvement. However, when feedback forms are distributed in paper format, extracting the text responses into a machine-readable format for analysis can be a tedious and error-prone manual process. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Technology offers an automated solution for digitizing text from scanned documents, but its accuracy can be impacted by various factors like image quality, font styles, and language complexities. This study investigates the use of Gemini 1.5 Pro, a multimodal AI, to extract text data from PDF scans of collected handwritten feedback forms. After evaluation of Gemini's performance across a range of PDF qualities and comparing its output to manually transcribed data, the results demonstrate Gemini's high accuracy rates, even on lower quality scans, enabling efficient extraction of feedback responses while minimizing manual effort. This solution offers a scalable and reliable approach for educational institutions, professional organizations and other bodies to digitize survey responses for deeper qualitative and quantitative computational techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

Unattended Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) operate without human supervision and have limited resources. In a conventional WSN with a fixed sink for data collection, nodes one hop away from the sink consume more energy, causing a hotspot issue. This leads to network fragmentation and reduced sensing efficiency. To address this, a mobile sink is proposed. This study details the development and implementation of Secure MRL, focusing on legitimate message communication to the mobile sink via convex nodes. By using these convex nodes as data collection points, the mobile sink avoids traversing the entire network. We employ an enhanced system to generate keys and authenticate messages, assessing its resilience against various attacks, including sleep deprivation, snooze, network substitution, and modification. Findings indicate that Secure MRL maintains consistent performance across different node counts and significantly reduces energy consumption by 84%, improving the speed of attack detection. This improvement is achieved by monitoring the digital signature and residual energy of nodes. The proposed SVM-based network training establishes a residual energy cut-off, while convex nodes mitigate synchronization issues among other sensor nodes in Secure MRL. Additionally, convex nodes manage the availability checks for the mobile sink. The proposed approach demonstrates a 92% improvement in packet delivery ratio (PDR) and an 89% reduction in end-to-end delay, highlighting its efficacy in enhancing network performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
