While Brain, emotion, and behaviours abnormalities are hallmarks of schizophrenia, a complex and long-lasting mental illness. Its symptoms are divided into three categories: positive, negative, and cognitive. Positive symptoms include delusions, disordered thinking, abnormal gait, and hallucinations. Diminished ability to express emotions, alogia, anhedonia, avolition, and social disengagement are detrimental symptoms. Deficiencies in working memory, problems paying attention, and trouble making decisions are examples of cognitive symptoms. Environmental variables, genetic predisposition, and neurochemical imbalances interact intricately in an etiology of schizophrenia. Typically, antipsychotic drugs, psychotherapy, and social support are used in conjunction for treatment. The management of symptoms and enhancement of the general health of persons diagnosed with schizophrenia need early intervention and customized treatment strategies. The CNN, BiLSTM, GRU, and Transformer deep learning models are implemented in this study, and their respective performances are assessed. The transformer and GRU models outperform the other models when hyperparameter adjustment is carried out to increase the models' efficacy. © 2024 IEEE.

Safety of railway is the major problem worldwide. It has problems like cracks or any fault in the railway tracks. These problems can cause severe accidents if it is not detected regularly and early. In traditional fault finding and crack detecting method, the manual method is involved which is very slow and consist of many errors. By considering all these challenges and issues in track detection method, we have implemented an advanced IoT based railway crack and fault-finding system. It uses advanced sensors, microcontroller, GPS and GSM module which can detect and report faults of the railway track. The system uses real time mechanism. The system is implemented and tested on a prototype railway track to detect crack or any fault. The internet of things technology added modern and accurate fault-finding feature in the system. The IoT plays an important role in implementing advance technologies, as it uses sensors and advance microcontroller. The accuracy rate of fault and crack detection is around 97%, which is for 2 mm crack. Along with this GPS module accurately track fault location. GSM module successfully send the alert message quickly after detecting the fault in the track. Hence the response time is very less and accurate. This system is implemented in order to ensure safety for the railway track and prevent the accidents. Hence the system is useful for improving overall transport safety. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this article is to see how machine learning (ML) algorithms and applications are used in the COVID-19 inquiry and for other purposes. The available traditional methods for COVID-19 international epidemic prediction, researchers and authorities have given more attention to simple statistical and epidemiological methodologies. The inadequacy and absence of medical testing for diagnosing and identifying a solution is one of the key challenges in preventing the spread of COVID-19. A few statistical-based improvements are being strengthened to answer this challenge, resulting in a partial resolution up to a certain level. ML have advocated a wide range of intelligence-based approaches, frameworks, and equipment to cope with the issues of the medical industry. The application of inventive structure, such as ML and other in handling COVID-19 relevant outbreak difficulties, has been investigated in this article. The major goal of this article is to 1) Examining the impact of the data type and data nature, as well as obstacles in data processing for COVID-19. 2) Better grasp the importance of intelligent approaches like ML for the COVID-19 pandemic. 3) The development of improved ML algorithms and types of ML for COVID-19 prognosis. 4) Examining the effectiveness and influence of various strategies in COVID-19 pandemic. 5) To target on certain potential issues in COVID-19 diagnosis in order to motivate academics to innovate and expand their knowledge and research into additional COVID-19-affected industries. © 2020 IEEE.

Facial Action Units as a Joint dataset Training Bridge for Facial Expression Recognition

Label biases in facial expression recognition (FER) datasets, caused by annotators' subjectivity, pose challenges in improving the performance of target datasets when auxiliary labeled data are used. Moreover, training with multiple datasets can lead to visible degradations in the target dataset. To address these issues, we propose a novel framework called the AU-aware Vision Transformer (AU-ViT), which leverages unified action unit (AU) information and discards expression annotations of auxiliary data. AU-ViT integrates an elaborately designed AU branch in the middle part of a master ViT to enhance representation learning during training. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, we demonstrate that AU-ViT effectively captures expression regions and is robust to real-world occlusions. Additionally, we observe that AU-ViT also yields performance improvements on the target dataset, even without auxiliary data, by utilizing pseudo AU labels. Our AU-ViT achieves performances superior to, or comparable to, that of the state-of-the-art methods on FERPlus, RAFDB, AffectNet, LSD and the other three occlusion test datasets. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

An image can convey a thousand words. This statement emphasizes the importance of illustrating ideas visually rather than writing them down. Although detailed image representation is typically instructive, there are several contexts where simplification of image representations may be more informative. One way to provide an abstract representation of an object is via clip art, which is a simple graphic illustration of an object that can be included in documents or presentations. Clip art representation can be utilized in graphic design for concepts expression and daily life objects illustration. Furthermore, clip art had shown remarkable advantages when compared to real images in terms of editing and manipulation since clip art geometry can be easily edited in addition to the feasibility of storing it in a resolution-independent manner. However, it can be difficult to automatically create clip arts that resemble any object. Here, we propose a novel deep learning model, named ClipArtGAN, that utilizes Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to convert a photo of an object to its corresponding clip art. To our knowledge, this is the first GAN model based on Pix2Pix architecture that is capable of automatically generating clip art for any arbitrary object. Three training datasets were collected to train and compare two GAN models based on Pix2Pix and CycleGAN architectures. Our results demonstrate that the mean accuracy obtained using ClipArtGAN utilizing Pix2Pix outperforms that of CycleGAN by 58% and that of Google Images-based search by 54%. Operating a vehicle on a deteriorated roadway causes an enormous threat to safety, particularly for self-driving automobiles. Deep learning-based image processing technology has made it possible to study models that assess roadway conditions. Disparity of roadway damage and complicated backgrounds in roadway shots makes it an extremely difficult challenge classifying the road damage. To address this problem, this paper recommends ResNet Blended Five Dense Layered Deep Fully Connected Neural Network (RB-5DFCNN) that classifies the road damage with high efficiency. The KAGGLE Road Damage dataset, which consists of 2074 road snapshots, is used by the proposed RB-5DFCNN model. In order to classify road damage, the RB-5DFCNN model first preprocesses the images before fitting ResNet CNN, which consists of five steps of convolutional block and identity block processing. After the ResNet model completed its task, five dense layers were applied to the DFCNN in order to classify the state of road damage. The classification of road damage condition and the determination of the necessary number of dense layers to identify road damage with high accuracy are the innovative aspects of the proposed RB-5DFCNN. To test the effectiveness of the road damage categorization, the Road Damage dataset was applied to both the proposed RB-5DFCNN model and the current CNN approaches. Python execution on a GTX Geforce Tesla V100 Nvidia graphics card server over 64 and 150 training intervals shows that the suggested RB-5DFCNN model projects an accuracy of 98.77% in comparison to the state-of-the-art CNN models. © 2024 IEEE.

Community detection of trajectory data for location-based facility recommendation system

Trajectory contains spatial-data generated from traces of moving objects like people, animals, etc. Community generated from trajectories portrays common behaviour. Trajectory clustering based on community-detection involves region-graph generation and community-detection. In region-graph generation, trajectories are projected to spatial grid to transform GPS representation into string representation. Sequential graph is generated from string representation. Edge-based similarity is calculated between trajectories to create an adjacency matrix representing relationship and represent entire region. In community-detection phase, region-graph is divided into communities using various algorithms and validated using modularity values. Based on analysis, Louvain, fast-greedy, leading-eigenvector, and edge-betweenness algorithms provide the optimum modularity value for better community detection. Analysing the community can be used as a pre-processing step in identifying location for location-based services (LBS), including hotspots, delay-tolerant-networks, and mobile antenna placements for better coverage. Design and capacity planning of the network based on the size and pattern of the community improves quality of LBS. Copyright © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

For the sake of customer satisfaction and high profitable revenue, the products are designed in the Ecommerce application along with the product category. Based on the product category, prices may differ in a broad range. So, the application must be able to categorize the products before releasing the price voucher to the customers. The absence of effective product categorization, made it challenging to provide deep learning algorithm that results in the usage of modern tools towards product classification. This paper proposes Truncated Normal Kernel Initializer Conv2D (TNKIC) Sequential model for categorizing the watch product. The suggested TNKIC model includes the Watche Image dataset from KAGGLE which consists of 2000 pictures divided into 10 groups. To classify watch goods, pictures are preprocessed and fitted using the TNKIC model. Three convolutional layers, a max pooling layer, and three dense layers that are weight initialized using a Truncated Normal Kernel initializer are preprocessed on the watch pictures in order to classify the watch products. The watch images are splitted into training and testing images. The TNKIC model is examined to determine how well the suggested model works in the watch product categorization than the current conV2D models after being trained with watch images. When compared to current conV2D models, implementation observations using Python on a Gtx Geforce Tesla V100 Nvidia GPU workstation utilizing 64 and 250 training intervals show that the suggested TNKIC model classifies the watch product category with the accuracy of 97.88%. © 2024 IEEE.

Drug sales forecasting in the pharmaceutical market using deep neural network algorithms

Drug sales and price forecasting have become an attractive investigation topic due to their important role in the pharmaceutical industry, A sales forecast helps every business to make better business decisions in overall business planning, budgeting, marketing, and risk management. The traditional forecasting method focuses on a conventional statistical model, which highly depends on the availability of historical sales data. However, for new drug entities, where not enough historical data is available, new methods of Machine Learning are applied. The aim of this paper is to identify an efficient Deep Neural Network algorithm suitable to forecast drug sales and pricing by applying Deep Neural Network Algorithms such as Multilayer Perceptron, Convolutional Neural Network, and Long Short-Term Memory, which are expected to perform well on this issue. The results are carried out to determine the efficiency of these algorithms by evaluating the performances of the models using MAE and RMSE performance metrics to identify the best algorithm for Drug Sales and Price Forecasting. The accepted accuracy should be more than 80\% of the actual value for quantity which is less than three thousand by unit and less than two dollars (USD) for price, Based on the results of the experiments Long Short Term Memory performed better than MLP and CNN for generating predictions with average Root Mean Square Error of for sales is 1.28(k) and Mean Absolute Error of about 0.85(k), and with average Root Mean Square Error for USD Prices is about 0.75, and Mean Absolute Error is about 0.44. Enhancing VANET communication using squid game optimization based energy aware clustering approach

Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) are studied wireless networks that enable communication among vehicles and roadside infrastructure. The role a vital play in improving on-road safety, efficacy, and convenience by enabling real-time data interchange for controlling traffic, infotainment services, and collision avoidance. Energy efficiency in VANETs is vital because of the restricted power resources of vehicles. Methods like clustering, vehicles are categorized into groups to decrease communication overhead, and meta-heuristic approaches that optimize network performance by intelligent problem-solving approaches are deployed to exploit energy efficiency while preserving network reliability and responsiveness. These methodologies contribute to the effective implementation of VANETs, ensuring sustainable and dependable communication in dynamic vehicular environments. In this study, a new Squid Game Optimization based Energy Aware Clustering Approach (SGO-EACA) technique for VANET is introduced. The goal of the SGO-EACA technique is to optimally choose the cluster heads (CHs) and produce clusters in the VANET in such a way as to realize energy efficiency. In the SGO-EACA technique, the concept of typical Korean sport is used where the attackers try to achieve their goal, but players try to eliminate each other. Moreover, the SGO-EACA approach derives a fitness function (FF) containing multiple metrics such as Residual Energy (RE), Trust Level, Degree Difference, Total Energy consumption, Distance to Base Station (DBS), and Mobility. The simulation values exposed that the SGO-EACA approach surpassed earlier state-of-the-art approaches with respect to various aspects. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.
