Innovative Approaches to Task Scheduling in Cloud Computing Environments Using an Advanced Willow Catkin Optimization Algorithm

The widespread adoption of cloud computing has underscored the critical importance of efficient resource allocation and management, particularly in task scheduling, which involves assigning tasks to computing resources for optimized resource utilization. Several meta-heuristic algorithms have shown effectiveness in task scheduling, among which the relatively recent Willow Catkin Optimization (WCO) algorithm has demonstrated potential, albeit with apparent needs for enhanced global search capability and convergence speed. To address these limitations of WCO in cloud computing task scheduling, this paper introduces an improved version termed the Advanced Willow Catkin Optimization (AWCO) algorithm. AWCO enhances the algorithm’s performance by augmenting its global search capability through a quasi-opposition-based learning strategy and accelerating its convergence speed via sinusoidal mapping. A comprehensive evaluation utilizing the CEC2014 benchmark suite, comprising 30 test functions, demonstrates that AWCO achieves superior optimization outcomes, surpassing conventional WCO and a range of established meta-heuristics. The proposed algorithm also considers trade-offs among the cost, makespan, and load balancing objectives. Experimental results of AWCO are compared with those obtained using the other meta-heuristics, illustrating that the proposed algorithm provides superior performance in task scheduling. The method offers a robust foundation for enhancing the utilization of cloud computing resources in the domain of task scheduling within a cloud computing environment.

Deep Learning has been widely applied in all application domains namely Healthcare, Entertainment, Banking & finance, Agriculture, Aerospace & defence etc. Due to stupendous achievement of deep learning as a data processing technique has fascinated in all research areas. Handling of Deep learning in Banking and Financial sector is pervasive. Advancement of Information extraction especially because of different formats of information such as text, image, sound, video can be extracted simultaneously by the usage of deep learning techniques. This study reviews and analyses multimodal information extraction based on deep learning techniques especially on banking and financial sector. It aims to enhance the efficiency of document-intensive business tasks in the financial sector. Deep review analysis will be carried out to understand subtasks of Information extraction and techniques involved in Banking domain. We have been developing MEIMAT (MEiji Microprocessor Architecture Design Tools). The MEIMAT is essentially designed to be able to represent any instruction of various processors by the MEIMAT meta-instruction in two ways of semantic and functional expressions. In this paper, we have verified the RISC-V support to the MEIMAT, and have improved so that MEIMAT further supports RISC-V. First, we have verified whether the RISC-V instructions can be expressed by the MEIMAT semantic expression. It is also verified that the functional expression is automatically generated from the semantic instruction, and the corresponding correct circuit diagrams are generated in the MEIMAT instruction visualization tool. Then, we have newly developed a stage configuration mechanism to implement the RISC-V instructions. Because the RISC-V architecture is implemented by 4 or 5 processing stages in most actual processors. To develop further an easy-to-understand design tool, we have also introduced illustration windows for RISC-V specified hardware modules such as a register file, especially a status register in the instruction visualization tool. Finally, through these verifications and improvements, we have successfully confirmed that the 43 instructions in the RISCV (RV32I) instructions set of the RISC-V architecture can be converted into MEIMAT meta-instructions, and then they can be represented as circuit diagrams with the RISC-V stage configuration in the MEIMAT instruction visualization tool. © 2023 IEEE.

Vehicular network technology has made substantial advancements in recent years in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Vehicular Cloud Computing (VCC) has emerged as a novel paradigm with a substantial increase in data exchange within Vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). VCC integrates cloud computing, vehicular networking, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. It enables Infrastructure-to-Vehicle (I2V), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), and Vehicle-to-Device (V2D) communication. VCC optimizes vehicle, cloud infrastructure, and IoT resources while addressing significant communication security and vehicle-user privacy challenges. To address these issues, we developed an RFID-based authentication protocol for VCC based on a Henon map using a hash function. In addition, we also incorporated a Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) to resist physical tampering attacks. We validate the protocol's security formally and informally. The formal security analysis is conducted through a widely used RoR model. We use the Scyther simulation tool to verify the proposed protocol's security against various attacks. Moreover, we compare the performance of our protocol with similar existing protocols across important performance parameters such as communication and computation overheads and security attributes. The proposed protocol yields substantial improvements, demonstrating a 40.74% reduction in computation overhead and a 13.03% decrease in communication overhead as compared to related protocols, delivering both enhanced performance and resource efficiency. The analysis demonstrates its capacity to support secure communication in the VCC environment and satisfy desirable security attributes. © 2024 IEEE.

The crowd sensing technology can realize the sensing and computing of people,machines,and environment in smart industrial IoT-based coal mine,which provides a solution for safety monitoring through distributed intelligence ***,due to the difficulty of neural network training to achieve global optimality and the fact that traditional LSTM methods do not consider the relationship between adjacent machines,the accuracy of human body position prediction and pressure value prediction is not *** solve these problems,this paper proposes a smart industrial IoT empowered crowd sensing for safety monitoring in coal ***,we propose a Particle Swarm Optimization-Elman Neural Network(PE)algorithm for the mobile human position ***,we propose an ADI-LSTM neural network prediction algorithm for pressure values of machines supports in underground *** them,our proposed PE algorithm has the lowest average cumulative prediction error,and the trajectory fit rate is improved by 24.1%,13.9%and 8.7%compared with Kalman filtering,Elman and Kalman plus Elman algorithms,***,compared with single-input ARIMA,RNN,LSTM,and GRU,the RMSE values of our proposed ADI-LSTM are reduced by 36.6%,52%,32%,and 13.7%,respectively;and the MAPE values are reduced by 0.0003%,0.9482%,1.1844%,and 0.3620%,respectively.

Li metal is widely recognized as the desired anode for next-generation energy storage,Li metal batteries,due to its highest theoretical capacity and lowest ***,it suffers from unstable elec-trochemical behaviors like dendrite growth and side reactions in practical ***,we report a highly stable anode with collector,Li5Mg@Cu,realized by the melting-rolling *** Li5Mg@Cu anode delivers ultrahigh cycle stability for 2000 and 1000 h at the current densities of 1 and 2 mA cm-2,respectively in symmetric ***,the Li5Mg@Cu|LFP cell exhibits a high-capacity retention of 91.8％for 1000 cycles and 78.8％for 2000 cycles at 1 ***,we investigate the suppression effects of Mg on the dendrite growth by studying the performance of LixMg@Cu electrodes with different Mg contents(2.0-16.7 at％).The exchange current density,surface energy,Li+diffusion coefficient,and chem-ical stability of LixMg@Cu concretely reveal this improving suppression effect when Mg content becomes *** addition,a Mg-rich phase with"hollow brick"morphology forming in the high Mg content LixMg@Cu guides the uniform deposition of *** study reveals the suppression effects of Mg on Li dendrites growth and offers a perspective for finding the optimal component of Li-Mg alloys.

The application of big data technology has brought new impetus and possibilities to the development of tourism. The design of an embedded Q&A robot system for Qinghai tourism customer service based on ChatGPT system aims to provide an intelligent customer service solution to help users obtain information about Qinghai tourism and answer questions. The system uses ChatGPT as the core dialogue model, combines the knowledge and data in the field of Qinghai tourism, and realizes the intelligent answer to user questions. This study application in the field of natural language processing, and analyzes the design requirements and implementation scheme of embedded travel question answering system in detail. The function module includes user login and registration, travel tickets, hotel information query, scenic spot ticket price query and other essential basic function modules of the tourism website. Whether the design is reasonable or not will also directly affect the user experience. The results show that ChatGPT embedded in Qinghai tourism Q&A system can not only provide more intelligent and accurate answers, but also enhance the interactivity and practicability of the system, and provide users with more convenient and personalized tourism information services. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

As big data,Artificial Intelligence,and Vehicle-to-Everything(V2X)communication have advanced,Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS)are being developed to enable efficient and safe transportation *** Toll Collection(ETC),which is one of the services included in ITS systems,is an automated system that allows vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping for manual *** ETC system is widely deployed on highways due to its contribution to stabilizing the overall traffic system *** ensure secure and efficient toll payments,designing a distributed model for sharing toll payment information among untrusted toll service providers is ***,the current ETC system operates under a centralized ***,both toll service providers and toll plazas know the toll usage history of *** raises concerns about revealing the entire driving routes and patterns of *** address these issues,blockchain technology,suitable for secure data management and data sharing in distributed systems,is being applied to the ETC *** enables efficient and transparent management of ETC ***,the public nature of blockchain poses a challenge where users’usage records are exposed to all *** tackle this,we propose a blockchain-based toll ticket model named AnonymousTollPass that considers the privacy of *** proposed model utilizes traceable ring signatures to provide unlinkability between tickets used by a vehicle and prevent the identity of the vehicle using the ticket from being identified among the ring members for the ***,malicious vehicles’identities can be traced when they attempt to reuse *** conducting simulations,we show the effectiveness of the proposed model and demonstrate that gas fees required for executing the proposed smart contracts are only 10%(when the ring size is 50)of the fees required in previous studies.
