Consider the high dynamics of traffic loading and resource provision on network hosts that forward data flows along a particular path between two endpoints. The Quick UDP Internet Connect (QUIC) protocol performs better than TCP for its effects in shortening the time of connection establishment and data transmission between two endpoints. Recent studies attempted to exploit the notion of multipath QUIC that forwards the data over multiple paths. Using the multipath QUIC can not only augment the total bandwidth capacity but also avoid traffic congestion on some paths. In this paper, our study proposes a novel multipath QUIC scheme which is able to minimize the flow completion time of multipath QUIC by jointly utilizing two measures of path delay and packet loss rate on a path. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to other scheduling schemes, including naive QUIC and Lowest-RTT-First QUIC. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

An advanced hybrid renewable energy collecting and storage system prototype that utilizes water flow as its primary power source. Additionally, the system incorporates an energy monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The device effectively harnesses energy from the movement of water, storing it for future use in low-voltage applications. It demonstrates a maximum daily energy capture capacity of about 100Wh. The energy monitoring system, based on the Internet of Things (IoT), enables the real-time and remote monitoring of energy harvesting and usage. We thoroughly assessed the energy harvesting component across different situations to identify the crucial parameters that impact energy output. The results of our study demonstrate that several elements, including the spatial separation 'between the energy harvester and the water source, Water flow' speed, sensor orientation, and sensor density, all play significant roles in determining the quantity of energy collected. This research shows that it is possible to integrate IoT technology with hydropower renewable energy systems. It provides significant perspectives on enhancing energy extraction efficiency in practical scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Consumer approval of the online auction paradigm is demonstrated by rapidly expanding online auction transaction volumes. Bidders can access a wider variety of products, and sellers can reach a larger audience through online auction platforms. However, privacy concerns have reduced users’ trust in auction platforms, and complicated disputes have led consumers to lose faith in online auctions, negatively impacting market growth. The emergence of blockchain technology has brought a new approach to solving these problems. Blockchain is a new generation of information technology that is decentralized, transparent, traceable, anti-tampering, and unforgeable, following big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. In this paper, we present a blockchain-based online auction solution as well as an auction protocol that uses ring signatures to guarantee anonymity. Three features summarize this essay: (1) Using blockchain technology to ensure that the auction transaction process is transparent, traceable, tamper-proof, and unforgeable. (2) The ring signature-based anonymous auction protocol allows for concealing bidders’ public keys in a group of public keys. Because malicious individuals are prevented from evaluating data by tracking numerous transactions of a single public key, this significantly protects bidders’ privacy. Water is a vital *** supports a multitude of industries,civilizations,and ***,climatic conditions impact water availability,particularly in desert areas where the temperature is high,and rain is ***,it is crucial to forecast water demand to provide it to sectors either on regular or emergency *** study aims to develop an accurate model to forecast daily water demand under the impact of climatic *** forecasting is known as a multivariate time series because it uses both the historical data of water demand and climatic conditions to forecast the *** on the collected data of Jeddah city,Saudi Arabia in the period between 2004 and 2018,we develop a hybrid approach that uses Artificial Neural networks(ANN)for forecasting and Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm(PSO)for tuning ANNs’*** on the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)metric,results show that the(PSO-ANN)is an accurate model for multivariate time series ***,the first day is the most difficult day for prediction(highest error rate),while the second day is the easiest to predict(lowest error rate).Finally,correlation analysis shows that the dew point is the most climatic factor affecting water demand.

In VANETs, the important and effective applications of vehicle localization include safety and communication applications. Thus, it is difficult to get very accurate localization in the dynamic and often very fluctuating environment of VANET. This research responds to this challenge with a keen thrust on improving vehicle localization using the Mobility Data Verification process. The primary goal of this work is to achieve high accuracy of vehicle positioning within VANET by checking the coherence of mobility data of moving vehicles. Hence, we present a concept that builds upon Mobility Data Verification to provide real-time location details from vehicles. Both GPS and onboard sensors feed this method, which uses a multi-level verification to flag out or eliminate the errors of deliberately spoofed data points. We use simulations to evaluate and validate the effectiveness of the proposed verification approach. As the proposed system, our previously developed and fine-tuned weighted localization (OWL) strategy does so. The performance evaluation results suggest that our proposed solution is feasible to distinguish automobiles that are not trustworthy and improve the performance of the localization algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Leukemia, a malignant disease characterized by the rapid proliferation of specific types of white blood cells (WBC), has prompted increased interest in leveraging automatic WBC classification system. This study presents the design of a robust WBC classification system, integrating deep learning with microscopic image analysis. The proposed classification model is designed to categorize blood cells into four distinct groups: eosinophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, and neutrophil. The study employs a Kaggle image dataset for comprehensive learning. The dataset comprises 12,500 microscopic images used to categorize the four blood cell groups. To enhance performance and reduce the likelihood of overfitting, transfer learning techniques are employed. Six deep transfer learning models namely VGG16, ResNet50, AlexNet, MobileNet, GoogLeNet, and EfficientNetBO are used for feature extraction and classification. The results of the experiments show that VGG16 and MobileNet demonstrated enhancements compared to other pre-trained models when evaluated on both augmented and original datasets. A diverse set of evaluation criteria was employed to thoroughly assess the effectiveness of medical image classification. Notably, the VGG16 and MobileNet models accurately predicted Lymphocytes and Monocytes with a 100% accuracy rate, and Eosinophil and Neutrophil with rates of 99.35% and 99.81%, respectively. This research work empower medical practitioners, particularly in the field of pathology and hematology by providing advanced tools for accurate blood cell classification. The proposed VGG16 and MobileNet models hold promise for simplifying WBC classification, improving decision-making processes, and ultimately advancing patient care in the medical domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Globally, skin cancer is a prevalent form of malignancy, and its early and accurate diagnosis is critical for patient survival. Clinical evaluation of skin lesions is essential, but several challenges, such as long waiting times and subjective interpretations, make this task difficult. The recent advancement of deep learning in healthcare has shown much success in diagnosing and classifying skin cancer and has assisted dermatologists in clinics. Deep learning improves the speed and precision of skin cancer diagnosis, leading to earlier prediction and treatment. In this work, we proposed a novel deep architecture for skin cancer classification in innovative healthcare. The proposed framework performed data augmentation at the first step to resolve the imbalance issue in the selected dataset. The proposed architecture is based on two customized, innovative Convolutional neural network (CNN) models based on small depth and filter sizes. In the first model, four residual blocks are added in a squeezed fashion with a small filter size. In the second model, five residual blocks are added with smaller depth and more useful weight information of the lesion region. To make models more useful, we selected the hyperparameters through Bayesian Optimization, in which the learning rate is selected. After training the proposed models, deep features are extracted and fused using a novel information entropy-controlled Euclidean Distance technique. The final features are passed on to the classifiers, and classification results are obtained. Also, the proposed trained model is interpreted through LIME-based localization on the HAM10000 dataset. The experimental process of the proposed architecture is performed on two dermoscopic datasets, HAM10000 and ISIC2019. We obtained an improved accuracy of 90.8% and 99.3% on these datasets, respectively. Also, the proposed architecture returned 91.6% for the cancer localization.
