This research focuses on improving the identification of cyclone centers using deep learning and match recognition applied to radar images. Accurately pinpointing the cyclone's center is vital for predicting its intensity and trajectory. However, challenges persist in automatically locating the center due to the diverse nature of cyclone morphology and structure. To address this, the deep convolutional network's capability is leveraged to capture various structural features in images by proposing two-step approach for cyclone center localization. Initially, a pre-trained EfficientDet model is employed using transfer learning to obtain weights. Subsequently, these weights, along with the data, are utilized in a deep learning model to provide precise coordinates of the cyclone center in the respective image. The effectiveness of existing deep learning and machine learning models show that the cyclone prediction systems have an accuracy ranging from 86% to 92% or better, and cyclone eye detection accuracy surpassing 87%. Experiment outcomes indicate that the proposed methodology outperforms conventional methods and existing works, showcasing its potential for enhancing cyclone monitoring and forecasting. © 2024 IEEE.

This study introduces the Orbit Weighting Scheme(OWS),a novel approach aimed at enhancing the precision and efficiency of Vector Space information retrieval(IR)models,which have traditionally relied on weighting schemes like tf-idf and *** conventional methods often struggle with accurately capturing document relevance,leading to inefficiencies in both retrieval performance and index size *** proposes a dynamic weighting mechanism that evaluates the significance of terms based on their orbital position within the vector space,emphasizing term relationships and distribution patterns overlooked by existing *** research focuses on evaluating OWS’s impact on model accuracy using information Retrieval metrics like Recall,Precision,InterpolatedAverage Precision(IAP),andMeanAverage Precision(MAP).Additionally,we assessOWS’s effectiveness in reducing the inverted index size,crucial for model *** compare OWS-based retrieval models against others using different schemes,including tf-idf variations and *** reveal OWS’s superiority,achieving a 54%Recall and 81%MAP,and a notable 38%reduction in the inverted index *** highlights OWS’s potential in optimizing retrieval processes and underscores the need for further research in this underrepresented area to fully leverage OWS’s capabilities in information retrieval methodologies.

This paper presents the design, fabrication, and characterization of a novel 3D-printed helical antenna operating within the 9.4–10.8 GHz frequency band. The antenna, employing a lightweight paper substrate and a strip-based helical structure, exhibits robust circular polarization characteristics and wideband operation. Rigorous simulations predict a peak CP gain of 11.7 dBi at 9.8 GHz and a high simulated radiation efficiency of 95%. Experimental measurements validate these predictions, achieving a peak CP gain of 11.6 dBi at 9.8 GHz. This research demonstrates the potential of 3D-printed helical antennas for diverse applications in modern wireless communication systems, including 5G, satellite communication, and radar. Furthermore, this study leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by employing the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), a sophisticated metaheuristic algorithm, to optimize the antenna’s design. The GWO algorithm is utilized to efficiently search the design space and identify optimal values for key parameters, such as the number of turns, helix pitch, and helix diameter, with the objective of maximizing antenna gain to achieve a target of 15 dBi. This research highlights the potential of AI-driven optimization techniques in advancing the design of high-performance antennas for emerging wireless communication systems. © 2025, Electromagnetics Academy. Hand sign language has been done as physical movements in natural languages that humans have used since ancient times, along with letters, words, and spoken language. This paper presents a real-time method to identify threatening signs by criminals during interrogation, which increases their criminal rank and helps to reach conclusions. The proposed method is to install a camera of appropriate quality in front of the offender, record hand gestures in a specific area of the hand, apply some image processing techniques, such as contrast enhancement techniques, to the image to facilitate recognition as input, and then classify the images using a convolutional neural network (CNN) for a specific problem with high specifications for that topic by and using AlexNet. The accuracy of the presented method is more than 94.2% in real-time testing. © 2024 IEEE.

Drought is an environmental and economic problem. Sustainable ecosystems, water resources, food security, and ecosystem sustainability. Machine all are severely affected by drought. Due to the increasing frequency and severity of droughts caused by climate change. Effective drought modeling is crucial for early warning systems and risk mitigation. Recent advances in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques have been developed as potential drought modeling tools, which offer accurate and reliable drought detection. This review paper summarizes the drought modeling(Drought Prediction, Drought Detection and Drought Forecasting) approaches. This paper focuses on three main aspect. 1) The selection of the region for this study, for this study South Asia(SA) is selected as region of interest (ROI) that offer accurate drought modeling, providing policymakers and decision-makers with insightful information. The geographical scope of this study is the region of South Asia. This region is selected because of its heavy reliance on agriculture. 2) This paper focuses on the current and future trends, challenges, and advances of and vulnerability to droughts. The review offers a thorough grasp of how drought conditions are evaluated by gathering and analyzing the most important drought indicators and metrics specific to South Asia. The paper explores the current state-of-the-art in ML and DL for drought modeling. 3) This review encapsulates the indicator and metrics (Complex Machine learning and deep learning models) for drought modeling which are most relevant to the SA region. This study sum up as most common challenges in drought modeling are, highlighting current challenges such as incomplete and inconsistent datasets, lack of explainable and interpretable models, and unavailability of data for model uncertainty analysis. In an era where Intelligent Decision Support Systems (IDSS) are integral to managing the vast data from Internet of Everything (IoE) systems, this study introduces IDSDeep-CCD, a novel IDSS approach for detecting concrete cracks, a critical issue in civil infrastructure maintenance. Traditional visual inspection methods for crack detection are time-consuming and error-prone. To address this, IDSDeep-CCD employs deep learning, utilizing an open-source dataset of concrete crack images for enhanced accuracy. The system's two-stage approach, featuring feature extraction via pre-trained models and a fully connected network for classification, significantly outperforms existing methods. Our results demonstrate a remarkable 99.9% accuracy rate in crack detection without data augmentation, marking a notable advancement in automatic detection technology. This breakthrough offers practical benefits for the industry by enabling more precise and efficient identification of concrete cracks, paving the way for timely and accurate remedial actions. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In an era when healthcare was becoming increasingly crucial, many developing nations, including Yemen, struggled to provide basic medical services. Nearly half of Yemen's population lacked access to adequate healthcare, with the situation being even more dire in rural and remote areas. While sectors such as industry, agriculture, and environmental science rapidly embraced technological advancements, healthcare systems in these regions lagged, with limited research addressing affordable and accessible solutions. This gap was further highlighted by the global healthcare crisis and the urgent need for innovative, cost-effective approaches. In response, this study outlined the creation and deployment of a cost-effective health monitoring system utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology to address these challenges. The system was designed to monitor vital signs, specifically heart rate (HR), using an Arduino Uno and ECG sensor, at a meager total cost of $27.25. It provided real-time monitoring for situations requiring immediate intervention. Power consumption tests demonstrated that the system operated efficiently, consuming between 1.061 and 1.35 watts, making it practical and affordable. Additionally, the potential integration of deep learning techniques promises to enhance the system's accuracy and efficiency. Although this study focused on IoT-based health monitoring, its potential extended beyond this, offering broader implications for future healthcare technology solutions. © 2024 IEEE.
