Elevating IoT healthcare security using ProSRN and ICOM methodologies for effective threat management

IoT healthcare security is increasingly important, as the interconnectedness of medical devices in itself introduces a major vulnerability, given the impact on patient safety and data integrity. Past works in this domain have been afflicted by persistent issues of high false-positive rates, resource utilization inefficiency, and failure to adapt to rapidly changing threat spaces. The paper presents a novel framework that incorporates ProSRN, which provides the robustness in threat detection, and ICOM for dynamic weight estimation. ProSRN adopts a residual-connected stacking approach to reach high accuracy of detection while reducing the complexity in training and enhancing responsiveness in real time. It is further complemented by ICOM, which will then dynamically optimize network parameters to yield an adaptive IoT health security model with the capability of addressing evolving threats. Together, ProSRN and ICOM advance both detection and optimization significantly, enhancing the adaptiveness, efficiency, and security in IoT healthcare systems. This creates a concrete basis for developing resilient frameworks that can protect sensitive healthcare data against emerging threats. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2025.

Since packets are dropped when there is an insufficient connection between each of the sensor nodes in the network, a sensor node in a sensor network is unable to efficiently aggregate the data packets. Since each area has a different sensor node location, the sender node rarely shares information with its neighbour. Only a certain number of packets are received for each communication, the rest are dropped, and the communication is lost. In order to determine each node's minimum residual energy level, the node transmits packets on the path once more. It raises the energy consumption and packet loss rate. Energy-efficient packet aggregation along the network environment is the goal of the suggested Improved Energy Efficient Divergent Path Routing (IEEDP) technique. The node's position is clearly tracked before a different route is assigned for routing. Using metrics such as end-to-end delay, overhead for communication, packet delivery ratio, link stability, consumption of energy, packet loss, and network lifetime using a simulation model, the suggested improved energy efficient divergent path routing (IEEDP) approach outperformed existing methods like Wireless Access Range (WAR) and Congestion-Aware Clustering And Routing (CCR). Energy preservation is a process to extend the network's lifetime by examining the residual Energy Effects on EH-WSN. The Combining Packet Aggregation algorithm is made for sensor networks and collects data packets without any loss during the entire transmission period from the origin node to a target node in a network environment. It lowers energy consumption and packet loss rate. © 2024 IEEE.

BESIEC: An Adaptive Optimized Model for Task Scheduling & Offloading

The rapid change in computational strategy and delay-sensitive applications require intense power sources of computational resources. This creates a challenge of precise latency requirements in 5G network services. Task scheduling and offloading can be promising solutions to achieve high-performance optimized output with heterogeneity, handling of tasks, conservation of energy, and reliable latency factor. Blockchain (BC), Software defined networks (SDN) and the Internet of Things(IoT) are the most promising significant technologies researched in this article, and the fusion of the three has the potential to reinvent the relationship of trust in the networks and promote the integration of confidentiality and reliability in the respective use cases. Cloud infrastructure is used to provide clients with powerful computing and storage environments. A kind of expansion of cloud computing architecture, edge computing, has been trending. Now, it is used to build distributed secure architecture to promote the safety and integrity of data throughout its lifetime and bring much-needed efficiency to IoT data processing. This paper considers a Blockchain-Enabled Software-defined network-based IoT Edge Cloud(BESIEC) scenario for data integrity during task scheduling and offloading processes while achieving optimal computational resources and minimizing end-to-end delays. The strategy shows that it is better to implement the BESIEC model than the Traditional Floodlight implementation. The BESIEC model shows better time consumption performance regarding the number of tasks completed compared to local processing, cloud offloading, and edge offloading. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The volume of social media posts is on the rise as the number of social media users expands. It is imperative that these data be analyzed using cutting-edge algorithms. This goal is handled by the many techniques used in text categorization. There are a variety of text categorization techniques available, ranging from machine learning to deep learning. Numerical crunching has become easier with less processing time since the emergence of high-end computer facilities. This has led to the development of sophisticated network architectures that can be trained to achieve higher precision and recall. The performance of neural network models which was evaluated by the F1 score is affected by cumulative performance in precision and recall. The current study intends to analyze and compare the performance of the neural network proposed, A Hybrid RNN model that has two layers of BiLSTM and two layers of GRU to that of previous hybrid models. GloVE dataset is used to train the models and their accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score are used to assess performance. Except for the RNN + GRU model, the RNN + BILSTM + GRU model has a precision of 0.767, a recall of 0.759, and an F1-score of 0.7585. This hybrid model outperforms the others. © The Author(s) 2024.

Application of a three-phase unified power quality conditioner in a microgrid

In power distribution systems, common issues such as voltage fluctuations, voltage instability, current harmonics, and power imbalances often arise, negatively impacting the stability and power quality (PQ) of the power system. As an advanced power electronics device, the unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) can effectively address these problems. Therefore, the integration of UPQC into power distribution lines can enhance the stability and reliability of the power system, providing higher-quality power supply to meet the needs of both users and suppliers for PQ. The authors utilise the TI TMS320F28377D chip as the control core to construct a simple yet highly efficient UPQC system. Through simulation, the correctness of the voltage and current compensation algorithms has been verified, and the overall system feasibility has been validated using a 100-kVA series-shunt inverter. The experimental results show that the voltage compensation range of the UPQC is 380V ± 10%. During sudden current drops, the imbalance rate can be reduced from 85.5% to 1.32% after controlled compensation. During sudden current rises, the imbalance rate can be reduced from 13.1% to 1.56% after controlled compensation. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the UPQC system in improving PQ and system stability in power distribution networks. © 2024 The Author(s). Wireless sensor network (WSN) applications are added day by day owing to numerous global uses (by the military, for monitoring the atmosphere, in disaster relief, and so on). Here, trust management is a main challenge. Sensor nodes are important in wireless sensor networks, but they are easily depleted because of their short lifespan from continuous sensing activity and low battery capacity. So efficient energy utilization is a challenging task in a WSN. To minimize energy loss, clustering with an optimum path selection process is needed to retain energy in sensor nodes. This manuscript proposes multi-objective Pelican Optimization Algorithm (POA) routing to maintain energy efficiency and minimize transmission distances in wireless sensor networks. A cluster head (CH) is selected by using a Separable Convolution Neural Network (SCNN). Simulation outcomes prove the proposed technique attains 22.3% and 25.04% improvements in energy consumption when compared to the Multi-Objective CH Energy-aware Optimized Routing Approach at WSN (MOCH-EORA-WSN) and Multiple Optimum Cluster Head Multi-Objective Grasshopper Optimization with Harmony-search at WSN (MOCH-MOGOH-WSN), respectively. © 2024 institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea. The Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to human *** widespread deployment of wireless micro sensors will make it possible to conduct accurate environmental monitoring for a use in both civil and military *** make use of these data to monitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environment in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they may be *** nodes of the WSNs are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environmental *** objective of this study is to further improve the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long time while consuming the least amount of *** lifespan of WSNs is being extended often using clustering and routing *** Meta Inspired Hawks Fragment Optimization(MIHFO)system,which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optimization(HWAFO)selects the optimum path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They examine the number of nodes that are active,their energy consumption,and the number of data packets that the BS *** overall experimentation is carried out under the MATLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcomes in terms of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consumption.

An effective object detection and tracking using automated image annotation with inception based faster R-CNN model

The present study advances object detection and tracking techniques by proposing a novel model combining Automated Image Annotation with Inception v2-based Faster RCNN (AIA-IFRCNN). The research methodology utilizes the DCF-CSRT model for image annotation, Faster RCNN for object detection, and the inception v2 model for feature extraction, followed by a softmax layer for image classification. The proposed AIA-IFRCNN model is evaluated on three benchmark datasets: Bird (Dataset 1), UCSDped2 (Dataset 2), and Under Water (Dataset 3), to determine prediction accuracy, annotation time, Center Location Error (CLE), and Overlap Rate (OR). The experimental results indicate that the AIA-IFRCNN model outperformed existing models regarding detection accuracy and tracking performance. Notably, it achieved a maximum detection accuracy of 95.62 % on Dataset 1, outperforming other models. Additionally, it achieved minimum average CLE values of 4.16, 5.78, and 3.54, and higher overlap rates of 0.92, 0.90, and 0.94 on the respective datasets (1, 2 and 3). Hence, this research work on object detection and tracking using the AIA-IFRCNN model is essential for improving system efficiency and fostering innovation in the field of computer vision and object tracking. © 2024
