Sports science can have a significant and positive impact on coaches and athletes, as well as for the professional sports organization. According to this situation, more and more organizations are competing to implement sports science as the monitoring systems. Along with the development of technology, it becomes easier for humans to carry out their activities, including communication with each other. Advances in the field of communication technologies have led to the use of social networks to support all activity. With social media, all kinds of information that people want to search for can be found easily. Social networks have their uniqueness in their characteristics. Like LINE has free calling and video calling features, while Instagram has features like Instagram Story, where users can document their activities in the form of photos or recordings. By all the characteristics of social networks, it will support the activity of sports science. The methodology of this research focused on quantitative research based on the T-test approach. The result shows that social media involvement can significantly support collaboration in sports science, so it can increase people's motivation to interact with other participants in sport organizations. © 2020 IEEE.

This study addresses the critical need for computational tools to model complex nonlinear multibody dynamic systems in the presence of parametric and external uncertainty. Polynomial chaos has been used extensively to model uncertainties in structural mechanics and in fluids, but to our knowledge they have yet to be applied to multibody dynamic simulations. We show that the method can be applied to quantify uncertainties in time domain and frequency domain. Copyright © 2004 by ASME.

Context: This research is positioned in the field of methods for creating software design and the teaching thereof. Goal: The goal of this research is to study the effects of using a collection of examples for creating a software design. Method: We ran a controlled experiment for evaluating the use of a broad collection of examples for creating software designs by software engineering students. In this study, we focus on software designs as represented through UML class diagrams. The treatment is the use of the collection of examples. These examples are offered via a searchable repository. The outcome variable we study is the quality of the design (as assessed by a group of experts). After this, all students were offered the opportunity to improve their design using the collection of examples. We ran a post-assignment questionnaire to collect qualitative data about the experience of the participants. Results: Considering six quality attributes measured by experts, our results show that: 1) the models of the students who used examples are 18% better than those of who did not use examples. 2) the models of the students who did not use examples for constructing became 19% better after updating their models using examples. We complement our statistical analysis with insights from the post assignment questionnaire. Also, we observed that students are more confident about their design when they use examples. Conclusion: Students deliver better software designs when they use a collection of example software designs.

Galois Field Sum of Products (GFSOP) leads to efficient multi-valued reversible circuit synthesis using quantum gates. In this paper, we propose a new generalization of ternary Toffoli gate and another new generalized reversible ternary gale with discussion of their quantum realizations. Algorithms for synthesizing ternary GFSOP using quantum cascades of these gates are proposed In both the synthesis methods, 5 ternary shift operators and ternary swap gate are used We also propose quantum realizations of 5 ternary shift operators and ternary swap gate. In the cascades of the new ternary gates, local mirrors, variable ordering, and product ordering techniques are used to reduce the circuit cost. Experimental results show that the cascade of the new ternary gates is more efficient than the cascade of ternary Toffoli gates.

The interaction between Jupiter's magnetosphere and the solar wind is not well-constrained: while internal energetic plasma processes are thought to dominate plasma circulation, the solar wind nonetheless exerts significant control over the shape and scale of the whole structure. To better constrain this interaction, we derive new functional forms for Jupiter's magnetopause and bow shock using data from the Ulysses , Galileo , Cassini , and Juno missions and calibrated solar wind estimates from the Multi-Model Ensemble System for the Heliosphere (MMESH). We design an empirical Bayesian model to estimate the locations of the boundaries using a Markov-chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm, expanding our model to sample all times, not only boundary crossing events. The boundary surfaces which best describe the data are thus estimated without the need for a full, physics-based magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) treatment of the Jovian magnetosphere and the additional assumptions required for such. The new magnetopause model exhibits significant polar flattening and dawn-dusk asymmetry, and includes a narrowing of the magnetotail when compared to previous models. The new bow shock model is largely axisymmetric. Both boundary models describe surfaces which lie closer to Jupiter than previous models, which has important implications for the modern picture of Jupiter's dynamic magnetosphere and the expected science results of current and upcoming Jupiter-bound spacecraft. Applying these models to Juno 's trajectory, we estimate that the spacecraft should be expected to spend ∼ 19 % ${\sim} 19\%$ of each orbit in the magnetosheath and ∼ 4 % ${\sim} 4\%$ of each orbit in the solar wind starting from Perijove 64 (PJ64, 21 July 2021). The OMG Essence standard has recently been published as the kernel for software engineering methods [1]. We show that the Essence view of software engineering is reminiscent of a nondeterministic, multidimensional finite state machine, and that the Essence lends support to a semi-Markov decision process model of software engineering which, in practice, facilitates a goal-driven adaptive software engineering. We develop an activity-state mapping algorithm and a goal-activity cover algorithm based on the Essence, which can help automate the health monitoring of project states and the adaptive planning of project activities in a software engineering project.

The energy management in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), have been primarily attempted at the M A C layer considering communication pattern and protocols. The work in this paper proposes a node-level application layer based self-organizing energy management algorithm. This distributed algorithm performs the node-level tasks with an objective to conserve and predict node and network lifetime with a strategy that assures node reach ability in the deployed network, autonomously. Here, the self-organizing node-level based energy management algorithm refers to the ability of an individual node to self-check, self-direct and self-instruct;and attain energy conservation modes like sleep, awake, etc. on dropping/lowering the desired energy-level threshold. Further, the policy employed by the proposed algorithm has the ability to report the node-level energy-health to the controlling cluster-head/base-station using *** implementedonactualsensornodes. Healthful living is the central characteristic to live a wonderful life which is badly affected when people are physically inactive. Physically unfit people are restricted in several walks of life. Therefore, physical fitness and activeness is key to live a healthy life. COVID-19 restricted people due to lock-downs. Several physical activities were seized. Along with human lives, all businesses, import-export, economies of countries and many other areas were affected. Similarly, educational system was badly affected. Due to lockdowns, it was not possible to carry traditional educational system (TES) in COVID crises, therefore, everyone had to move towards online educational system (OES). By adopting OES, going to academies, attending physical classes, performing practical sessions, sports, face-to-face interactions with friends, being ready for outdoor and several other physical activities were eliminated from student’s and teacher’s routine. Whereas, excessive screen time, continuous sitting, increased laziness, weight gain, spine issues and other health problems were reported. This work focuses higher educational institutes – universities – of Pakistan, and attempts to investigate seriousness of health risks, diseases and chances of being unhealthy during such COVID times. The aim is to investigate the unsettled health issues by gathering the perceptions of students and teachers through surveys. With the help of different statistical techniques and comparisons, responses are analyzed to identify the health problems. To avoid and prevent students and teachers from recognized health issues in future, some suitable and relevant suggestions have been provided to audience with the help of existing studies and doctors’ opinion, which will help academia to adopt OES smoothly and more effectively. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In the parameterized string matching, a given pattern P is said to match with a sub-string t of the text T, if there exist a bijection from the symbols of P to the symbols of t. This problem has an important application in software maintenance where it is required to find equivalency between two sections of codes. Two sections of codes are said to be equivalent if one can be transformed into the other by renaming identifiers and variables only. In this paper, we extend single pattern exact shift-or string matching algorithm to find all parameterized occurrences of multiple patterns P 0 , P 1 , P 2 ...P r-1 , (rges1), each of equal size m, in the text T. The set of r multiple patterns is being handled by using the concept of classes of characters. The new algorithm is named as multi-pattern parameterized shift-or (MPSO) string matching algorithm. We further extend MPSO by using the concept of super alphabets. Implementation results show that by using a super alphabet of size s, the algorithm (MPSO) is speeded-up by a factor of s, where s is the size of the super alphabet (i.e. s is the number of characters processed simultaneously). By using multi-pattern parameterized string matching, the search time is lesser than individual pattern searching in the text. We also show the performance of super alphabet MPSO with respect to duplicity present in the code. However these algorithms are applicable only when pattern length (m) is less than or equal to word length (w) of computer used (i.e. mlesw).

We present a novel pruning method for context-free parsing that increases efficiency by disallowing phrase-level unary productions in CKY chart cells spanning a single word. Our work is orthogonal to recent work on "closing" chart cells, which has focused on multi-word constituents, leaving span-1 chart cells unpruned. We show that a simple discriminative classifier can learn with high accuracy which span-1 chart cells to close to phrase-level unary productions. Eliminating these unary productions from the search can have a large impact on downstream processing, depending on implementation details of the search. We apply our method to four parsing architectures and demonstrate how it is complementary to the cell-closing paradigm, as well as other pruning methods such as coarse-to-fine, agenda, and beam-search pruning.
