Urban heat island (UHI) effects, especially in highly urbanised areas, and greenhouse gas emissions from human activity are two elements that accelerate global climate change (GCC). Sustainable city planning and modification may benefit from the quantification of the surface UHI (SUHI) effect utilising land surface temperature (LST), local climate zones (LCZ), and deep learning methods like convolutional neural networks (CNN) and pix2pix. The findings show that socioeconomic variables account for 12–20% of variability in UHI intensity. In general, the contribution rate of urban economic scale is higher than that of population and industrial structure variables. The increase in urban economic expansion increased summertime heat discomfort. This research propose novel method in socioeconomic analysis based on urban heat pattern analysis with public healthcare system using decision-making with DL (deep learning) model. Input is collected as urban heat pattern dataset and processed for noise removal and normalisation. This data has been features are extracted and classified using convolutional fuzzy Q-Gaussian neural network and variational K-C-means regressive learning. The simulation analysis has been carried out based on training accuracy, average precision, recall, and F-measure. The proposed model attained average precision was 94%, recall was 90%, training accuracy was 97%, and F1-score was 92%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a prominent contributor to illness and death on a global scale, underscoring the need for precise predictive models to facilitate timely intervention. The present study investigates the utilization of deep learning methodologies, specifically Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory networks (LSTM), in the context of predictive modeling of cardiovascular diseases. This study examines the efficacy of three well-known optimization techniques, namely Adam Optimization, RMSprop, and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), within the framework of these neural network architectures. Among the various models based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) has been identified as the optimizer that produces the most favorable outcomes for predicting CVD. The utilization of this optimization technique demonstrated exceptional efficacy in the training of the deep neural network, resulting in superior levels of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. On the other hand, it was observed that LSTM-based models exhibited the greatest improvement when utilizing RMSprop optimization. The utilization of RMSprop has been found to have a positive impact on the effectiveness of sequence modeling, resulting in enhanced predictive capabilities for assessing the risk of cardiovascular disease. The efficacy of this technique was demonstrated in its ability to capture temporal dependencies within the dataset, consequently enhancing the predictive capability of the model. The results of this study emphasize the importance of carefully choosing neural network architectures and optimization techniques when constructing predictive models for cardiovascular disease. Customizing the selection of neural network architecture and optimization algorithm according to the unique attributes of the dataset can substantially augment the precision and dependability of CVD risk evaluations. Generating realistic handwritten word images that closely resemble a target style remains a challenging task in document image analysis. In recent years, deep learning techniques, such as Latent Diffusion Models (LDM), have shown promise in generating styled handwritten text. However, these models face significant challenges when creating images for ‘Out of Vocabulary’ (OOV) words, impacting their overall effectiveness. In this paper, we introduce an extended diffusion-based Handwritten generation method that incorporates a novel conditioning mechanism. It is based on the Pyramidal Histogram of Shapes (PHOS) representation, which takes into account the spatial and structural characteristics of the target handwriting style. By conditioning the diffusion model on input text, PHOS vector, and writer ID, our approach enables the generation of handwritten word images. Notably, our approach outperforms the original diffusion model, which only uses text and writer ID as conditions, in generating both in-sample and out-of-sample. Furthermore, we have developed a faster inference method that significantly reduces the number of steps required for generating the output. Through qualitative and quantitative evaluations, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a neuroimaging approach that lets in for the visualization and quantification of the structural integrity of white depend fibers in the brain. In latest years, DTI has come to be an essential tool for investigating the underlying neurobiological mechanisms of autism spectrum sickness (ASD), a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized via problems in social communication and repetitive behaviors. Through the usage of DTI, researchers have identified good sized styles of structural abnormalities in the brains of individuals with ASD. these abnormalities encompass changes in the microstructure of white remember fibers, along with decreased fiber density, changes in fiber directionality, and decreased connectivity between mind areas. Additionally, there may be evidence of bizarre mind development in early formative years, with a few research finding that these structural variations are present even in very younger children with ASD. One constant finding in DTI studies of ASD is reduced white rely integrity inside the corpus callosum, a large fiber package deal that connects the two hemispheres of the mind. In Medical question-answering (QA) tasks, the need for effective systems is pivotal in delivering accurate responses to intricate medical queries. However, existing approaches often struggle to grasp the intricate logical structures and relationships inherent in medical contexts, thus limiting their capacity to furnish precise and nuanced answers. In this work, we address this gap by proposing a novel Abstractive QA system MEDLOGIC-AQA that harnesses First Order Logic (FOL) based rules extracted from both context and questions to generate well-grounded answers. Through initial experimentation, we identified six pertinent first-order logical rules, which were then used to train a Logic-Understanding (LU) model capable of generating logical triples for a given context, question, and answer. These logic triples are then integrated into the training of MEDLOGIC-AQA, enabling effective and coherent reasoning during answer generation. This distinctive fusion of logical reasoning with abstractive QA equips our system to produce answers that are logically sound, relevant, and engaging. Evaluation with respect to both automated and human-based demonstrates the robustness of MEDLOGIC-AQA against strong baselines. Through empirical assessments and case studies, we validate the efficacy of MEDLOGIC-AQA in elevating the quality and comprehensiveness of answers in terms of reasoning as well as informativeness. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

A proper vertex coloring of a connected graph G is called an odd coloring if, for every vertex v of G there is a color that appears odd number of times in the open neighborhood of v. The minimum number of colors required to obtain an odd coloring of G is called the odd chromatic number of G and it is denoted by χo(G). The problem of determining χo(G) is NP-hard. Given a graph G and an integer k, the Odd Coloring problem is to decide whether χo(G) is at most k. In this paper, we study the problem from the viewpoint of parameterized complexity. In particular, we study the problem with respect to structural graph parameters. We prove that the problem admits a polynomial kernel when parameterized by distance to clique. On the other hand, we show that the problem cannot have a polynomial kernel when parameterized by vertex cover number unless NP⊆Co-NP/poly. We show that the problem is fixed-parameter tractable when parameterized by distance to cluster, distance to co-cluster, or neighborhood diversity. We show that the problem is W[1]-hard parameterized by clique-width. Finally, we study the problem on restricted graph classes. The classification of walnuts in the dry areas of Ganquan Township, Awati County, Xinjiang, is investigated in this research using traditional approaches, remote sensing photos taken by satellite, and convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Thorough field sampling and the collecting of Landsat-8 Level-2 data were necessary for correct analysis due to the different environmental features of the research region, which presented major hurdles. Despite some early difficulties, CNN design revisions led to significant gains in classification accuracy. These modifications included AlexNet, VGG, GoogleNet, ResNet, and EfficientNetV2. When compared to more traditional approaches, ResNet and EfficientNetV2 stood up as the most successful models. Nevertheless, challenges including computational complexity and low-resolution imaging highlight the necessity for more research to improve detection efficiency without sacrificing accuracy. The study emphasises the need to keep looking for new ways to analyse and monitor crops, and it suggests that combining remote sensing with advanced machine learning methods could help improve precision agriculture management and increase crop yields in dry areas. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Finding the transcription factor binding locations using novel algorithm segmentation to filtration (S2F)

The primary aim of identifying the binding motifs in gene regulation is to understand the transcriptional regulation molecular mechanism systematically. In this study, the (, d) motif search issue was considered which entails finding the length motifs which differ by at most d substitutions. However, identifying the high-quality pattern (, d) is challenging. It is intended to address the above problem with motif discovery and handle it using the proposed algorithm S2F (Segmentation to Filtration) based on the qPMS (quorum Planted Motif Search) algorithm model. From the entire DNA sequences, five percent are chosen at random to be used in the motif discovery process. This random sub segment (subseg) portion is split up into base, sub k-mers, and its sizes (motif length ()) are determined by the iterative approach. Corresponding to the sizes of and d (mutations), the k-mers are chosen which participated in filtration techniques and the base k-mer count and frequency are updated. The highest frequency of k-mer is recognized as the motif. The algorithm’s performance was evaluated using the two real datasets Escherichia coli cyclic AMP receptor protein (CRP) and mouse Embryonic Stem Cell (mESC) ChIP-seq (Chromatin Immuno Precipitation) dataset. Results from the experiments show that S2F can identify the motifs and appear faster compared to previous state-of-the-art PMS (Planted Motif Search) and qPMS algorithms.
