Literature reviews play a crucial role in scientific research for understanding the current state of research, identifying gaps, and guiding future studies on specific topics. However, the process of conducting a comprehensive literature review is yet time-consuming. This paper proposes a novel framework, collaborative knowledge minigraph agents (CKMAs), to automate scholarly literature reviews. A novel prompt-based algorithm, the knowledge minigraph construction agent (KMCA), is designed to identify relations between concepts from academic literature and automatically constructs knowledge minigraphs. By leveraging the capabilities of large language models on constructed knowledge minigraphs, the multiple path summarization agent (MPSA) efficiently organizes concepts and relations from different viewpoints to generate literature review paragraphs. We evaluate CKMAs on three benchmark datasets. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method, further revealing promising applications of LLMs in scientific research. © 2024, CC BY.

The modern digital age demands the skills to be able to assess information. In the current world, access to information and knowledge is abundant from different sources. Indeed, high-quality data are much needed in education and professional development, as the quality and accuracy of information directly influence the process of learning and decision-making. The study aims to investigate the perceptions of computer science students at the University of Dunaújváros related to the credibility of diverse information sources. Within a questionnaire, on a voluntary answer basis, 68 students took part, 59 males and nine females. This work is aimed at assessing the degree to which the surveyed students evaluate information sources based on a five-point Likert scale. The data shows that students find print books and textbooks as the most reliable sources; social media are the least reliable. The study also supports the importance of source credibility evaluation, for which lateral reading techniques and AI-based news source credibility identification systems can be helpful. These findings suggest the necessity of bettering the educational approaches to foster better source criticism skills in the students, especially for online content and social media. The study generally contributes to understanding the information society and helps prepare students to obtain and use reliable and accurate information in their future careers. Using AI-based tools and systems can then further support these educational efforts with robust mechanisms to evaluate information credibility in an ever more complex digital landscape.

The Medical equipment plays a crucial role in modern healthcare. These critical medical devices must perform at the level of performance required to achieve accepted reliability standards in the healthcare sector. To assure the safety and reliability of critical medical equipment, clinical engineering departments in Tunisian hospitals have to build and continuously control a medical equipment management program. Thus, the Multi-Criterion Decision Making methods find naturally their place to solve such a problem. In this paper, we address to categorize medical equipments for maintenance strategies based on how crucial they are to improve significantly their reliability safety, and cost efficiency by applying a novel multi-granular linguistic 2-Tuple-ARAS method in the multi-expert environment.

In this paper, we study the sixth order equation with the simply supported boundary conditions in a polygonal domain. We propose a new mixed formulation that decomposes the sixth order problem into a system of Poisson equations. Depending on the interior angles of the domain, additional Poisson problems may be needed to confine the solution to the correct Sobolev space. In addition, we propose a C0finite element algorithm for the sixth order problem and provide the optimal error analysis. Numerical results are reported to verify the theoretical findings. © 2023, CC BY-NC-ND.

The loss rate of cotton pickers is an important indicator to measure the quality of cotton pickers, which is directly the vital interests of cotton farmers. To obtain the loss rate of cotton pickers in real-time, this paper takes the cotton field images after a cotton picker harvesting as the research object, combines the deep learning method and image processing technology, and proposes a method for calculating the loss rate of cotton pickers. First, nearly 5,000 ha-rvested cotton field images were collected manually to establish a data set. Then a lightweight Yolov5s neural network model was constructed to detect the cotton areas in the image and obtain the regions of interest (ROI). After that, each ROI was processed by binarization, dilation, erosion, and masking to obtain a more accurate cotton area, which excludes cotton husks, branches, and leaves in the entire image. Finally, a convolutional neural network was used to build a regression model to calculate the cotton loss rate for the whole image. The experimental results show that: 1) The constructed lightweight Yolov5s model can detect cotton areas at a speed of 43 frames per second and an average accuracy of 84.8%, which meets the needs of cotton pickers. 2) For the calculation of the image cotton loss rate, the difference between the calculated loss rate and the actual loss rate is less than 1% for 90% of the images;only 1.1% of the images have a difference greater than 2%, and the maximum difference does not exceed 3%. Therefore, the method proposed in this paper can realize the real-time calculation of the loss rate of cotton pickers. © 2022 ACM.

This paper addresses the issue of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language with the help of modern software. The technical requirements and software service architecture for studying words of Ukrainian language were proposed. This service integrates word forms of Ukrainian words, their grammatical meanings, grammatical cases and means of expression. This allows to carry out effective management of arrays of lexicographic data and to receive examples of use of Ukrainian words in various contexts. The software service developed for learning Ukrainian words is based on the Single-Page Applications, REST API and uses the JavaScript-library React and the *** Core framework. © 2021 IEEE.

Equivariant Spatio-Temporal Attentive Graph Networks to Simulate Physical Dynamics

Learning to represent and simulate the dynamics of physical systems is a crucial yet challenging task. Existing equivariant Graph Neural Network (GNN) based methods have encapsulated the symmetry of physics, e.g., translations, rotations, etc, leading to better generalization ability. Nevertheless, their frame-to-frame formulation of the task overlooks the non-Markov property mainly incurred by unobserved dynamics in the environment. In this paper, we reformulate dynamics simulation as a spatio-temporal prediction task, by employing the trajectory in the past period to recover the Non-Markovian interactions. We propose Equivariant Spatio-Temporal Attentive Graph Networks (ESTAG), an equivariant version of spatio-temporal GNNs, to fulfill our purpose. At its core, we design a novel Equivariant Discrete Fourier Transform (EDFT) to extract periodic patterns from the history frames, and then construct an Equivariant Spatial Module (ESM) to accomplish spatial message passing, and an Equivariant Temporal Module (ETM) with the forward attention and equivariant pooling mechanisms to aggregate temporal message. We evaluate our model on three real datasets corresponding to the molecular-, protein- and macro-level. Jitter in multimedia traffic is mainly introduced by variations in network characteristics. Ifjitter is so significant in the application that is receiving, this can result in a degraded performance in real-time multimedia communications applications. Jitter causes inaudible audio or unclear video which can be undesirable and uncomfortable to the user. Buffers are often employed to temporarily to store arriving packets before playing them at equal intervals to curb and minimize jitter. Jitter for voice packets should not exceed 20-50 milliseconds within a given stream. This paper proposes a method to reducejitter in intermediate nodes is proposed, such that when the packets arrive at the receiving end, there would be little or nojitter to process in the de-jitter buffer. We analyze M/G/1 nonpreemptive and pre-emptive resume priority queuing in the intermediate node and analyze how these models will affect delay and jitter. We found out that preemptive priority queuing performs better but almost the same to non-preemptive priority queuing. Both Priority based queues performed much better than the First in First out queue.

Simplicial map neural networks (SMNNs) are topology-based neural networks with interesting properties such as universal approximation ability and robustness to adversarial examples under appropriate conditions. However, SMNNs present some bottlenecks for their possible application in high-dimensional datasets. First, SMNNs have precomputed fixed weight and no SMNN training process has been defined so far, so they lack generalization ability. Second, SMNNs require the construction of a convex polytope surrounding the input dataset. In this paper, we overcome these issues by proposing an SMNN training procedure based on a support subset of the given dataset and replacing the construction of the convex polytope by a method based on projections to a hypersphere. In addition, the explainability capacity of SMNNs and effective implementation are also newly introduced in this paper. © 2023, CC BY.

In the cloud storage environment, how to efficiently and dynamically complete the integrity verification of multi-user and multi-replica data is a challenging problem. Based on the bilinear mapping signature mechanism and the multi-branch authentication tree, we propose an identity-based integrity verification scheme of multi-replica data for cloud, which solves the problem of large public key storage and management overhead in signature algorithm based on traditional public key cryptosystems. The proof shows that our scheme satisfies the robustness and has the function of protecting privacy. The results of analysis indicate that, compared with the existing similar schemes, our scheme has higher communication efficiency and computing performance. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing.
