In Group Decision Making (GDM) problems before to obtain a solution a high level of consensus among experts is required. Consensus measures are usually built using similarity functions measuring how close experts’ opinions or preferences are. Similarity functions are defined based on the use of a metric describing the distance between experts’ opinions or preferences. In the literature, die rent distance functions have been proposed to implement consensus measures. This paper presents analyzes the effect of the application of some die rent distance functions for measuring consensus in GDM. By using the nonparametric Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-ranks test, it is concluded that die rent distance functions can produce significantly die rent results. Moreover, it is also shown that their application also has a significant elect on the speed of achieving consensus. Finally, these results are analyzed and used to derive decision support rules, based on a convergent criterion, that can be used to control the convergence speed of the consensus process using the compared distance functions.

The mental training (Galloway, 2011) is one of the measures of the psychological preparation in sport. Especially such as the judo discipline requires the mental training, due to the fact that the judo is a combat sport, the direct, physical confrontation of two opponents. Hence the mental preparation should be an essential element of preparing for the sports fight. In the article are described the basics of the AR systems and presents selected elements of the AR systems: sight glasses Vuzix glasses, Kinect sensor and an interactive floor Multitap. Next, there are proposed the scenarios for using the AR in the mental training which are based on using both Vuzix glasses type head as well as the interactive floor Multitap. All options, except for the last, are provided for using the Kinect sensor. In addition, these variants differ as to the primary user of the system. It can be an competitor, his coach the competitor and the coach at the same time. In the end of the article are presented methods of exploring, both, the effectiveness and usefulness, and/or the User Experience of the proposed prototypes. There are presented three educational training simulator prototype models in sport (judo) describing their functionality based on the theory of sports training (the cyclical nature of sports training) and the theory of subtle interactions, enabling an explanation of the effects of sports training using the augmented reality technology.

Within higher education, sciencedepartments have been making efforts to place more emphasis on improving discipline-specific teaching and learning. One such shift is the increased hiring of science faculty with educational specialties (SFES). Although SFES have begun to multiply in number, there is little published on their teaching ideologies and classroom practices and how they relate to national pedagogical reform efforts. This article highlights the teaching beliefs and classroom practices of a sample of SFES to promote the importance of understanding these attributes in faculty embedded within disciplinary departments involved in improving scienceteaching and learning. We found that the teaching beliefs of SFES in the sample were consistent with student-centered pedagogies, and their classroom practices were more transitional in nature. Research has shown that alignment of teaching beliefs with practices is vital to the implementation of student-centered teaching and learning.
