Assistive devices for disabled people with the help of Brain-computer Interaction(BCI)technology are becoming vital bio-medical *** with physical disabilities need some assistive devices to perform their daily *** these devices,higher latency factors need to be addressed ***,the main goal of this research is to implement a real-time BCI architecture with minimum latency for command *** proposed architecture is capable to communicate between different modules of the system by adopting an automotive,intelligent data processing and classification ***-sky mind wave device has been used to transfer the data to our implemented server for command ***-Net Convolutional Neural Network(TN-CNN)architecture has been proposed to recognize the brain signals and classify them into six primary mental states for data *** collection and processing are the responsibility of the central integrated server for system load *** of implemented architecture and deep learning model shows excellent *** proposed system integrity level was the minimum data loss and the accurate commands processing *** training and testing results are 99%and 93%for custom model implementation based on *** proposed real-time architecture is capable of intelligent data processing unit with fewer errors,and it will benefit assistive devices working on the local server and cloud server.

Cloud computing is currently dominated within the space of highperformance distributed computing and it provides resource polling and ondemand services through the ***,task scheduling problem becomes a very important analysis space within the field of a cloud computing environment as a result of user’s services demand modification *** main purpose of task scheduling is to assign tasks to available processors to produce minimum schedule length without violating precedence *** heterogeneous multiprocessor systems,task assignments and schedules have a significant impact on system *** the heuristic-based task scheduling algorithm,the different processes will lead to a different task execution time(makespan)on a heterogeneous computing ***,a good scheduling algorithm should be able to set precedence efficiently for every subtask depending on the resources required to reduce(makespan).In this paper,we propose a new efficient task scheduling algorithm in cloud computing systems based on RAO algorithm to solve an important task and schedule a heterogeneous multiple processing *** basic idea of this process is to exploit the advantages of heuristic-based algorithms to reduce space search and time to get the best *** evaluate our algorithm’s performance by applying it to three examples with a different number of tasks and *** experimental results show that the proposed approach significantly succeeded in finding the optimal solutions than others in terms of the time of task implementation.

The area of neurosymbolic artificial intelligence (Neurosymbolic AI) is rapidly developing and has become a popular research topic, encompassing subfields, such as neurosymbolic deep learning and neurosymbolic reinforcement learning (Neurosymbolic RL). Compared with traditional learning methods, Neurosymbolic AI offers significant advantages by simplifying complexity and providing transparency and explainability. Reinforcement learning (RL), a long-standing artificial intelligence (AI) concept that mimics human behavior using rewards and punishment, is a fundamental component of Neurosymbolic RL, a recent integration of the two fields that has yielded promising results. The aim of this article is to contribute to the emerging field of Neurosymbolic RL by conducting a literature survey. Our evaluation focuses on the three components that constitute Neurosymbolic RL: neural, symbolic, and RL. We categorize works based on the role played by the neural and symbolic parts in RL, into three taxonomies: learning for reasoning, reasoning for learning, and learning-reasoning. These categories are further divided into subcategories based on their applications. Furthermore, we analyze the RL components of each research work, including the state space, action space, policy module, and RL algorithm. In addition, we identify research opportunities and challenges in various applications within this dynamic field. © 2023 IEEE.

With the increasing water shortage and climatic uncertainty, creative strategies for effective water management in agriculture are necessary. This research investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), with solar-powered Internet of Things (IoT) networks to enhance water utilization in agricultural activities. The proposed system facilitates accurate irrigation scheduling using real-time data from soil moisture sensors, meteorological stations, and crop health monitoring devices. The ANN model analyses this data to predict ideal irrigation schedules and volumes, minimizing water waste while improving crop yields. The solar-powered IoT framework provides sustainability and reduces dependence on traditional energy sources. Field trials indicate that the AI-enhanced system may promote water saving by as much as 30% relative to traditional irrigation techniques. Moreover, using AI enables adaptive learning, enabling the system to enhance its irrigation tactics using historical and real-time data. This novel method conserves water resources and fosters sustainable agriculture practices, coinciding with global initiatives to address water shortages and assure food security. The findings underscore the potential of technology-based solutions to revolutionize agricultural water management for a sustainable future. © 2025 IEEE.

Semantic2Graph: graph-based multi-modal feature fusion for action segmentation in videos

Video action segmentation have been widely applied in many fields. Most previous studies employed video-based vision models for this purpose. However, they often rely on a large receptive field, LSTM or Transformer methods to capture long-term dependencies within videos, leading to significant computational resource requirements. To address this challenge, graph-based model was proposed. However, previous graph-based models are less accurate. Hence, this study introduces a graph-structured approach named Semantic2Graph, to model long-term dependencies in videos, thereby reducing computational costs and raise the accuracy. We construct a graph structure of video at the frame-level. Temporal edges are utilized to model the temporal relations and action order within videos. Additionally, we have designed positive and negative semantic edges, accompanied by corresponding edge weights, to capture both long-term and short-term semantic relationships in video actions. Node attributes encompass a rich set of multi-modal features extracted from video content, graph structures, and label text, encompassing visual, structural, and semantic cues. To synthesize this multi-modal information effectively, we employ a graph neural network (GNN) model to fuse multi-modal features for node action label classification. Experimental results demonstrate that Semantic2Graph outperforms state-of-the-art methods in terms of performance, particularly on benchmark datasets such as GTEA and 50Salads. Multiple ablation experiments further validate the effectiveness of semantic features in enhancing model performance. Notably, the inclusion of semantic edges in Semantic2Graph allows for the cost-effective capture of long-term dependencies, affirming its utility in addressing the challenges posed by computational resource constraints in video-based vision models. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Reducing idleness in financial cloud services via multi-objective evolutionary reinforcement learning based load balancer

In recent years, various companies have started to shift their data services from traditional data centers to the cloud. One of the major motivations is to save on operational costs with the aid of cloud elasticity. This paper discusses an emerging need from financial services to reduce the incidence of idle servers retaining very few user connections, without disconnecting them from the server side. This paper considers this need as a bi-objective online load balancing problem. A neural network based scalable policy is designed to route user requests to varied numbers of servers for the required elasticity. An evolutionary multi-objective training framework is proposed to optimize the weights of the policy. Not only is the new objective of idleness reduced by over 130% more than traditional industrial solutions, but the original load balancing objective itself is also slightly improved. Extensive simulations with both synthetic and real-world data help reveal the detailed applicability of the proposed method to the emergent problem of reducing idleness in financial services.

Canonicalization provides an architecture-agnostic method for enforcing equivariance, with generalizations such as frame-averaging recently gaining prominence as a lightweight and flexible alternative to equivariant architectures. Recent works have found an empirical benefit to using probabilistic frames instead, which learn weighted distributions over group elements. In this work, we provide strong theoretical justification for this phenomenon: for commonly-used groups, there is no efficiently computable choice of frame that preserves continuity of the function being averaged. In other words, unweighted frame-averaging can turn a smooth, non-symmetric function into a discontinuous, symmetric function. To address this fundamental robustness problem, we formally define and construct weighted frames, which provably preserve continuity, and demonstrate their utility by constructing efficient and continuous weighted frames for the actions of SO(d), O(d), and Sn on point clouds. The pandemic creates a more complicated providence of medical assistance and diagnosis procedures. In the world, Covid-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS Cov-2), and plague are widely known pandemic disease desperations. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic tragedies, various medical diagnosis models and intelligent computing solutions are proposed for medical applications. In this era of computer-based medical environment, conventional clinical solutions are surpassed by many Machine Learning and Deep Learning-based COVID-19 diagnosis models. Anyhow, many existing models are developing lab-based diagnosis environments. Notably, the Gated Recurrent Unit-based Respiratory Data Analysis (GRU-RE), Intelligent Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-based Covid Data Analysis (Thermal Images) (I-UVAC), and Convolutional Neural Network-based computer Tomography Image Analysis (CNN-CT) are enriched with lightweight image data analysis techniques for obtaining mass pandemic data at real-time conditions. However, the existing models directly deal with bulk images (thermal data and respiratory data) to diagnose the symptoms of COVID-19. Against these works, the proposed spectacle thermal image data analysis model creates an easy and effective way of disease diagnosis deployment strategies. Particularly, the mass detection of disease symptoms needs a more lightweight equipment setup. In this proposed model, each patient's thermal data is collected via the spectacles of medical staff, and the data are analyzed with the help of a complex set of capsule network functions. Comparatively, the conventional capsule network functions are enriched in this proposed model using adequate sampling and data reduction solutions. In this way, the proposed model works effectively for mass thermal data diagnosis applications. Multispectral image classification has received significant attention among research communities and academicians. Recently, several artificial intelligence (AI) models can be used for the extraction of prominent features. Besides, deep learning (DL) methods become more familiar and gained interest in the remote sensing community for the classification of multispectral and hyperspectral images. With this motivation, this paper presents an optimized feature learning with deep transfer learning enabled multispectral image classification (OFLDTL-MSIC) technique. The proposed OFLDTL-MSIC technique aims to categorize the different class labels of the multispectral images. Besides, the OFLDTL-MSIC technique applies multi-level discrete wavelet transform (DWT) based image decomposition technique. Moreover, the EfficientNet technique is applied as a feature extractor to generate a collection of features. Furthermore, selecting optimal features extracted by a EfficientNet involves identifying and retaining the most relevant and informative features The improved chaotic satin bowerbird optimization (CSBO) algorithm which uses dynamic population size is proposed for feature selection and kernel extreme learning machine (KELM) model is applied for the classification process. In order to ensure the enhanced performance of the OFLTDL-MSIC technique, a wide range of simulations take place using the Madurai LISS IV multispectral images and the results are examined under several aspects.
