Pneumothorax is a life-threatening and urgent chest disease than can be detected using Chest X-Ray (CXR) image. CXR images are low resolution and diagnosis of pneumothorax based on them is error prone. Deep learning-based computer aided diagnosis systems can improve diagnosis performance of pneumothorax. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are default networks in deep learning-based medical image process. However, CNNs fail to capture long range features. On the other side, Transformer are proposed to exploit long range feature, but they cannot capture local features. In this paper, we propose a general method with a convolution and a transformer module which can classify CXR images to diagnose pneumothorax by extracting local features, global features and global features attended by local ones using a novel architecture. Results show that the proposed method outperforms base architectures and the other previous works. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper provides an overview of microgrid control strategies, examining differences between centralized and decentralized approaches, and focusing on classical hierarchical control schemes as well as the structure of three-layer microgrid control systems. It also explores Hardware-in-the-Loop modeling, a crucial approach for microgrid simulation, with particular emphasis on devices supporting microgrid modeling. The paper primarily focuses on the design and implementation requirements of an experimental setup for real-time testing of microgrid control algorithms. The setup incorporates Hardware-in-the-Loop device, a power amplifier, a power converter, a battery energy storage system, and a digital controller. It is specifically designed to handle both power and information (control) signals, facilitating a comprehensive approach to evaluating and validating microgrid control strategies in real-world conditions. A detailed analysis of the setup elements and their interactions is also provided. © 2025 IEEE.

In current situation, e-commerce is considered essential and a growing business in day today life. People are buying the product based on deals and offers provided in the ecommerce application. Customer does not know about the quality and authenticity of the product, and sometimes the seller does not meet the customer requirements. To avoid this situation, a Secure Trust Monitoring KNN (STRUMKNN) ecommerce model has been implemented in this research. This model consists of a customer trust reputation system based on feedback comments and rating system given by each client. This model helps customer to find the good seller in ecommerce sites based on trust weight to find the product quality and product delivery. In the proposed model, two techniques such as word separation method and sentiment analysis are employed for providing trust profile to the customer. Here, based on the key pair of words either positive or negative given by a customer in the comments section, the suggestion is given to the buyer to order the product on trust profile. Sentiment analysis helps to identify if the customer ratings given by the user are accurate or not, based on the ratings and trust. The experimental results prove that the sentimental assessment used in the suggested model provides customers a successful way of finding the product and increases the confidence of e-commerce application users. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) architecture has offered great benefits due to the separation between the control and network elements such as routers and switches. Unfortunately, the enormous growth of attacks hinders the wide adoption of SDN. Intrusion Detection systems (IDSs) are used as significant tools to detect and mitigate network attacks of anomalous nature. Several Deep Learning (DL) models, such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), have been utilized for building IDSs in cyber security in recent years, because they achieve the desired detection results. Nonetheless, little work has been introduced on IDSs in SDN systems. Hence, this paper presents an efficient framework based on intelligent techniques for predicting attacks in SDN systems. This work focuses on the early detection of abnormal attacks existing in an SDN environment. When malicious traffic is identified in an SDN topology, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) module employs Machine Learning (ML) or DL models to identify and stop the attack source. The architecture presented in this research allows for comparing several ML and DL classification techniques that can be used to identify different sorts of network attacks. The proposed framework is tested on the InSDN dataset using several learning models like Random Forest (RF), AdaBoost (AB), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Naïve Bayes (NB), Decision Tree (DT), and Logistic Regression (LR) classifiers. In addition, DL models such as Deep CNN and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) are considered. The results demonstrate that the proposed Deep CNN model for multi-class attack data classification achieves the highest accuracy of 99.85% compared to RF, AB, KNN, NB, DT, LR, and LSTM classifiers with accuracy levels of 95%, 88 %, 97%, 93 %, 90 %, 98%, and 88.31 %, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Anatomy is a branch of biology dealing with the identification and explanation of living things body systems. Human anatomy is a significant chapter in every Biology class for secondary and post-secondary students. Traditional approaches and tools for studying human body anatomy include manuals with illustrations and images, as well as artificial anatomy mannequins. It isn't sufficient but and its miles tough to assist medical students to recognize it with actual and correct information and images approximately the anatomy of our human body. This is due to students' inability to visualize the actual configuration of human anatomy body parts and their lack of familiarity with 2D representations in textbooks. Furthermore, some students have difficulty interpreting 2D representations in textbooks, making it impossible for them to comprehend and gain information as quickly as possible in studying the layout of human anatomy body parts. Using Google AR Core and Unity3D, we proposed a system that builds a human anatomy learning android application that assists the medical students to visualize and analyze the Human Anatomy subject in an interactive way by using the Augmented Reality (AR) technique. The markerless AR approach is being used to create this scheme which uses the novel method to use the mobile computing platform as an alternative learning tool for studying the intricate structures of human body anatomy more practically and engagingly. © 2024 IEEE.

Identifying fruit disease manually is time-consuming, expertrequired,and expensive;thus, a computer-based automated system is widelyrequired. Fruit diseases affect not only the quality but also the *** a result, it is possible to detect the disease early on and cure the fruitsusing computer-based techniques. However, computer-based methods faceseveral challenges, including low contrast, a lack of dataset for training amodel, and inappropriate feature extraction for final classification. In thispaper, we proposed an automated framework for detecting apple fruit leafdiseases usingCNNand a hybrid optimization algorithm. Data augmentationis performed initially to balance the selected apple dataset. After that, twopre-trained deep models are fine-tuning and trained using transfer ***, a fusion technique is proposed named Parallel Correlation Threshold(PCT). The fused feature vector is optimized in the next step using a hybridoptimization algorithm. The selected features are finally classified usingmachine learning algorithms. Four different experiments have been carriedout on the augmented Plant Village dataset and yielded the best accuracy of99.8%. The accuracy of the proposed framework is also compared to that ofseveral neural nets, and it outperforms them all.

Email communication plays a crucial role in both personal and professional contexts;however,it is frequently compromised by the ongoing challenge of spam,which detracts from productivity and introduces considerable security *** spam detection techniques often struggle to keep pace with the evolving tactics employed by spammers,resulting in user dissatisfaction and potential data *** address this issue,we introduce the Divide and Conquer-Generative Adversarial Network Squeeze and Excitation-Based Framework(DaC-GANSAEBF),an innovative deep-learning model designed to identify spam *** framework incorporates cutting-edge technologies,such as Generative Adversarial Networks(GAN),Squeeze and Excitation(SAE)modules,and a newly formulated Light Dual Attention(LDA)mechanism,which effectively utilizes both global and local attention to discern intricate patterns within textual *** approach significantly improves efficiency and accuracy by segmenting scanned email content into smaller,independently evaluated *** model underwent training and validation using four publicly available benchmark datasets,achieving an impressive average accuracy of 98.87%,outperforming leading methods in the *** findings underscore the resilience and scalability of DaC-GANSAEBF,positioning it as a viable solution for contemporary spam detection *** framework can be easily integrated into existing technologies to enhance user security and reduce the risks associated with spam.

After the Noto Peninsula earthquake on January 1, 2024, the importance for residents on the Sea of Japan coast to have a correct understanding of the tsunami hazard is growing. One of the training tools for enhancing tsunami awareness is a tsunami visualization using Virtual Reality (VR). In this study, we create a VR space around Asahi-machi, Sakai-minato City using 3D City Model of PLATEAU, and develop a tsunami evacuation training tool by creating inundation scenarios in the VR space using the results of tsunami inundation simulations with the JAGURS tsunami model. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents experimental results showing that weak, extremely low frequency electromagnetic (EM) fields influence the growth rates of HT-1080 fibrosarcoma cells in vitro and offers a theoretical explanation for these effects. The results demonstrate that weak magnetic fields both increase and decrease the growth rates of fibrosarcoma cells by altering the mitochondrial superoxide (O2-) and calcium ions (Ca2+) concentrations in living cells. Over a 4-day exposure period, fibrosarcoma growth rates were modulated in the presence of low-level alternating current (AC) magnetic fields at a 10 μT amplitude at 13.5 Hz to 30 Hz frequency, superimposed on a 45 μT static background field. Effects due to changes in amplitude from 10 to 30 μT at selected frequencies are also investigated with the same superimposed static field. © 2025 USNC-URSI.
