Optical biosensors, a novel invention at the intersection of biotechnology and optics, are revolutionizing the field of biomedical diagnostics. Optical biosensors act by identifying variations in light's wavelength, phase, polarization, or intensity caused by interactions between a sensing element and the target analyte. Optical biosensors outperform other sensor types in sensing applications due to their quick, accurate, and extremely sensitive results. When evaluating optical sensors, total power, core power, efficient area, and indices are the most crucial variables to consider. Recent years have seen notable advancements in machine learning (ML), a branch of artificial intelligence (AI). This review investigates the complementary nature of optical biosensors and machine learning methods. Here, the potential utility of ML for optical biosensors is explored in detail. The advantages and drawbacks of the most popular machine learning methods are listed based on an analysis of the optical biosensing data. It highlights the possible effects of machine learning on improving the sensitivity, selectivity, and adaptability of optical biosensing devices, and it summarizes current advancements in the field. Healthcare stands out as a critical domain profoundly impacted by Internet of Things (IoT) technology, generating vast data from sensing devices as IoT applications expand. Addressing security challenges is paramount for a successful IoT healthcare framework, with blockchain technology offering a decentralized structure for robust data protection and secure data exchange within multi-node IoT networks. The research introduces a secure IoT healthcare diagnostic model empowered by deep neural networks, emphasizing encryption, safe transactions, and healthcare diagnostics as key components. Notably, the model incorporates innovative techniques like the orthogonal particle swarm optimization algorithm for sharing medical images and a neighborhood indexing sequence method for hash value encryption. The development of an optimized deep neural network-based classification model for illnesses, validated through extensive trials, demonstrates superior performance metrics compared to existing decision-making techniques, with significant improvements in f-Measure (96.25%), sensitivity (93.26%), specificity (94.26%), and accuracy (93.26%). This study’s scientific contribution lies in its innovative approach to securing IoT-healthcare diagnosis models, validated performance enhancements using real-world datasets, and insightful recommendations for future research directions, fostering advancements in healthcare technology for enhanced patient care and system efficiency. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Fruits are absolutely delicious for the most part, but more importantly, they are good for healthy life. Fruits are nature's candy and offer all sorts of health benefits besides the great taste. They provide necessary nutrients to the body so that it will not be susceptible to disease or other ailments. Fruits contain enough fiber to keep our digestive system in top health form. Fruits also helps to regulate the water level in body as well as your blood sugar levels, which means that will usually feel hungry less often if we consumes a lot of fruits. The easier it is for people to recognize that a fruit is ripe and ready for selling at the market allows the farmers, in some cases, to sell their crop early before it would normally spoil. If we look closely, we see that many times people don't buy something because it appears rotten or way past its peak ripeness, which demonstrates how products spoil right on time. This study proposed a user-convenient system for fruit ripeness detection using the convolutional neural network (CNN) based on RipeNet structure. © 2025 IEEE.

Human activity recognition (HAR) in the context of smart homes has attracted considerable interest because to its potential to increase residents' quality of life, safety, and energy efficiency. This study dives deeper into the use of deep learning (DL) algorithms for human activity recognition in a smart home scenario. A realistic approach for distinguishing distinct human behaviors like as walking, sitting, cooking, and sleeping is provided by the combination of artificial intelligence and sensor technology. This study offers FCN-LSTM, a revolutionary technique for HAR in smart homes that combines a Fully Convolutional Network (FCN) architecture with a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The proposed FCN-LSTM model capitalises on the strengths of both architectures, combining the FCN's ability to capture specific information spatially with the LSTM's experience modelling temporal correlations. This hybrid method efficiently captures both spatial and temporal variability inherent in human activities, overcoming the HAR issues. The FCN-LSTM model is trained on a huge dataset acquired from sensors deployed in a smart home setting, which includes a wide range of actions encompassing ordinary daily routines. This method is used to the Wireless Sensor Data Mining (WISDM) dataset, which was produced from data collected from a large number of people who engaged in six different activities: walking, sitting, downstairs, running, standing, and upstairs. According on the experimental data, the FCN-LSTM model outperforms established approaches and standalone systems. The results show that the FCN-LSTM algorithm performs well in recognizing human actions. The FCN-LSTM algorithm achieves a testing precision of 95.99%, with recall and f-measure of 97.11% and 99.99%, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

The IoT based Smart farmland using deep learning is a system for tracking animals on agricultural land combines surveillance cameras, drones, an Arduino controller, IR sensors, and an LCD display to detect and tally the animal's presence. Upon detection, the system utilizes AI methods to categorize the animal type and send immediate SMS notifications to farmers through a GSM module. It incorporates an animal-repellant buzzer and a gate control mechanism. Through the use of transfer learning with CNN models, it accurately identifies four specific animal species: elephants, cows, goats, and pigs. Continuous updates and training with new data maintain its precision, serving the agricultural and wildlife protection domains. This technology significantly aids farmers in safeguarding their crops, offering crucial insights into intrusions and amplifying crop yield. Its primary purpose revolves around simplifying the identification of animals on agricultural land. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, Precision agriculture uses the latest technology like the IOT and Artificial Intelligence to achieve more productivity and better resource utilization than traditional ways, resulting in lower costs and higher yields. Data analytics have had a significant impact on tactical and workload planning in football. Football data is divided into two categories: event data, which captures on-the-ball events like passes and shots, and tracking data, which captures off-the-ball movements. However, traditional methods of collecting tracking data are expensive and inconvenient. Recently, AI solutions have emerged as low-cost and user-friendly alternatives to track players' movements from video streams. This paper introduces FOOTBALLTrace, an end-to-end AI system for tracking multiple football players from a panoramic game view. The system also incorporates a novel algorithm that detects potential occlusion events and ensures trajectory continuity for occluded players. The workflow involves five stages: panoramic view creation, player detection, player ID association, occlusion detection, and trajectory correction. The system utilizes YOLOv7 for multiple object detection and employs a pre-trained deep affinity network to assign unique IDs to players throughout the game. Occlusion detection and trajectory correction are achieved by extracting geometric features from discontinuous player trajectories. The system's performance was evaluated on full-length video data of a football game, with occlusion events manually extracted for training and testing the occlusion detection and trajectory correction algorithm. In order to overcome the challenges caused by flash memories and also to protect against errors related to reading information stored in DNA molecules in the shotgun sequencing method, the rank modulation method has been proposed. In the rank modulation framework, codewords are permutations. In this paper, we study the largest size P(n, d) of permutation codes of length n, i.e., subsets of the set Sn of all permutations on {1, ..., n} with the minimum distance at least (Formula presented) under the Kendall τ-metric. By presenting an algorithm and two theorems, we improve the known lower and upper bounds for P(n, d). In particular, we show that P(n, d) = 4 for all n ≥ 6 and (Formula presented). Additionally, we prove that for any prime number n and integer (Formula presented). This result greatly improves the upper bound of P(n, 3) for all primes n ≥ 37. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

From AI-assisted art creation to large language model (LLM)-powered ChatGPT, AI-generated contents and services are becoming a transforming force. It calls for the telecom industry to embrace the prospects of AIGC services and face the unique challenges posed by incorporating generative model services into the AI-native 6G wireless network paradigm. We propose enabling AIGC inference services on mobile devices by optimizing MEC-device computing offloading, through which AIGC task latency is minimized by reinforcement learning based policy agent in a computing resource constrained and bandwidth limited wireless environment. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the performance advantage. © 2019 IEEE.

Telemedicine is of great importance as it increases the availability of health care for people living in remote or undeveloped areas. It reduces the cost of health care, allows for early diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions, and saves time for both patients and healthcare providers. Telemedicine also ensures continuity of care in situations like pandemics while reducing reducing the need for face-to-face consultations can reduce the chance of catching contagious diseases.. This innovation will combine wearable devices and artificial intelligence with personalized care and mental health support. This way, healthcare services would be available and efficient for everyone around the world. However, technological challenges include those stemming from poor system architecture, poor connectivity limitation in diagnosis from a physical examination privacy issues among others and diverse legal regulations. Lack of access and integration into mainstream health systems are also among the causes of discontinuities in care. Overcoming such barriers is critical, and telemedicine needs to be easy to integrate into mainstream frameworks for better access, equity, and health outcome. © 2025 IEEE.
