Numerous neural network(NN)applications are now being deployed to mobile *** applications usually have large amounts of calculation and data while requiring low inference latency,which poses challenges to the computing ability of mobile ***,devices’life and performance depend on ***,in many scenarios,such as industrial production and automotive systems,where the environmental temperatures are usually high,it is important to control devices’temperatures to maintain steady *** this paper,we propose a thermal-aware channel-wise heterogeneous NN inference *** contains two parts,the thermal-aware dynamic frequency(TADF)algorithm and the heterogeneous-processor single-layer workload distribution(HSWD)*** on a mobile device’s architecture characteristics and environmental temperature,TADF can adjust the appropriate running speed of the central processing unit and graphics processing unit,and then the workload of each layer in the NN model is distributed by HSWD in line with each processor’s running speed and the characteristics of the layers as well as heterogeneous *** experimental results,where representative NNs and mobile devices were used,show that the proposed method can considerably improve the speed of the on-device inference by 21%–43%over the traditional inference method.

Intelligent supply line surveillance is critical for modern smart grids. Smart sensors and gateway nodes are strategically deployed along supply lines to achieve intelligent surveillance. They collect data continuously and transmit it to the control centre in real-time. It enables real-time monitoring, fault detection, and efficient energy management across distribution networks. This advanced surveillance system ensures continuous monitoring of supply lines, detecting anomalies, and optimizing operations to maintain the stability and reliability of the smart grid. However, the reliance of all participating nodes on public communication channels to transmit supply line surveillance data exposes these systems to critical cyber attacks. These cyber attacks include impersonation, physical tampering, ephemeral secret leakage, and desynchronization attacks. To address these issues, existing key-exchange protocols often fail to ensure robust security while imposing high computation and communication overheads, limiting their practicality for resource-constrained environments. Therefore, we propose a secure and efficient key exchange and tamper-resistant authentication protocol using Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs). The PUF mechanism provides robust resistance against physical tampering and cloning attacks, ensuring enhanced physical security for supply line devices. We validate the security robustness of the devised protocol using the Random or Real (ROR) model. Furthermore, informal security analysis demonstrates the protocol's robustness in rigorously resisting various attacks, including physical tampering, impersonation, ephemeral secret leakage and desynchronization. Moreover, we determine the performance evaluation that reveals the protocol's superior efficiency compared to competing protocols, achieving significant reductions of 28.64% in computation overhead and 9.96% in communication overhead. © 2014 IEEE.

Faithful geometric measures for genuine tripartite entanglement

We present a faithful geometric picture for genuine tripartite entanglement of discrete, continuous, and hybrid quantum systems. We first find that the triangle relation Ei|jkα≤Ej|ikα+Ek|ijα holds for all subadditive bipartite entanglement measure E, all permutations under parties i,j,k, all α∈[0,1], and all pure tripartite states. Then, we rigorously prove that the nonobtuse triangle area, enclosed by side Eα with 0<α≤1/2, is a measure for genuine tripartite entanglement. Finally, it is significantly strengthened for qubits that given a set of subadditive and nonsubadditive measures, some state is always found to violate the triangle relation for any α>1, and the triangle area is not a measure for any α>1/2. Our results pave the way to study discrete and continuous multipartite entanglement within a unified framework.

Printing techniques hold great potential in the manufacture of electronics such as sensors,micro-supercapacitors,and flexible ***,developing large-scale functional conductive inks with appropriate rheological properties and active components still remains a ***,through optimizing the formulations of ink,iron single sites supported N-doped carbon black(Fe_(1)-NC)inks can serve as both conductive electrodes and high-reactive catalysts to realize convenient glucose detection,which pronouncedly reduces the dosage of enzyme and simplifies the sensors *** detail,utilizing in-situ pyrolysis method,Fe_(1)-NC single-atom catalysts(SACs)are prepared in bulk(dekagram-level).The batched Fe_(1)-NC SACs materials can be uniformly mixed with modulated ink to realize the screen printing with high resolution and ***,the whole scalable preparation and ink-functional process can be extended to various metals(including Co,Ni,Cu,and Mn).The introduction of highly active Fe_(1)-NC sites reduces the amount of enzyme used in glucose detection by at least 50%,contributing to the cost reduction of *** strategy in harnessing the SACs onto the carbon inks thus provides a broad prospect for the low-cost and large-scale printing of sensitive sensing devices.

Deciphering urban traffic impacts on air quality by deep learning and emission inventory

Air pollution is a major obstacle to future sustainability,and traffic pollution has become a large drag on the sustainable developments of future ***,combined with the large volume of real-time monitoring data,we propose a deep learning model,iDeepAir,to predict surface-level PM2.5 concentration in Shanghai megacity and link with MEIC emission inventory creatively to decipher urban traffic impacts on air *** model exhibits high-fidelity in reproducing pollutant concentrations and reduces the MAE from 25.355μg/m^(3) to 12.283μg/m^(3) compared with other *** identifies the ranking of major factors,local meteorological conditions have become a nonnegligible ***-wise relevance propagation(LRP)is used here to enhance the interpretability of the model and we visualize and analyze the reasons for the different correlation between traffic density and PM_(2.5) concentration in various regions of ***,As the strict and effective industrial emission reduction measurements implementing in China,the contribution of urban traffic to PM_(2.5) formation calculated by combining MEIC emission inventory and LRP is gradually increasing from 18.03%in 2011 to 24.37% in 2017 in Shanghai,and the impact of traffic emissions would be ever-prominent in 2030 according to our *** also infer that the promotion of vehicular electrification would achieve further alleviation of PM_(2.5) about 8.45% by 2030 *** insights are of great significance to provide the decision-making basis for accurate and high-efficient traffic management and urban pollution control,and eventually benefit people’s lives and high-quality sustainable developments of cities.

The cloud network is rapidly growing due to a massive increase in interconnected devices and the emergence of different technologies such as the Internet of things, fog computing, and artificial intelligence. In response, cloud computing needs reliable dealings among the service providers, brokers, and consumers. The existing cloud monitoring frameworks such as Amazon Cloud Watch, Paraleap Azure Watch, and Rack space Cloud Kick work under the control of service providers. They work fine;however, this may create dissatisfaction among customers over Service Level Agreement (SLA) violations. Customers’ dissatisfaction may drastically reduce the businesses of service providers. To cope with the earlier mentioned issue and get in line with cloud philosophy, Monitoring as a Service (MaaS), completely independent in nature, is needed for observing and regulating the cloud businesses. However, the existing MaaS frameworks do not address the comprehensive SLA for customer satisfaction and penalties management. This article proposes a reliable framework for monitoring the provider’s services by adopting third-party monitoring services with clearcut SLA and penalties management. Since this framework monitors SLA as a cloud monitoring service, it is named as SLA-MaaS. On violations, it penalizes those who are found in breach of terms and condition enlisted in SLA. Simulation results confirmed that the proposed framework adequately satisfies the customers (as well as service providers). This helps in developing a trustworthy relationship among cloud partners and increases customer attention and retention. © Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.
