From AlphaGo to ChatGPT,the field of AI has launched a series of remarkable achievements in recent ***,comparing,and summarizing these achievements at the paradigm level is important for future AI innovation,but has not received sufficient *** this paper,we give an overview and perspective on machine learning ***,we propose a paradigm taxonomy with three levels and seven dimensions from a knowledge ***,we give an overview on three basic and twelve extended learning paradigms,such as Ensemble Learning,Transfer Learning,etc.,with figures in unified *** further analyze three advanced paradigms,i.e.,AlphaGo,AlphaFold and ***,to enable more efficient and effective scientific discovery,we propose to build a new ecosystem that drives AI paradigm shifts through the decentralized science(DeSci)movement based on decentralized autonomous organization(DAO).To this end,we design the Hanoi framework,which integrates human factors,parallel intelligence based on a combination of artificial systems and the natural world,and the DAO to inspire AI innovations.

A Fine-Grained Flash-Memory Fragment Recognition Approach for Low-Level Data Recovery

Data recovery from flash memory in the mobile device can effectively reduce the loss caused by data corruption. Type recognition of data fragment is an essential prerequisite to the low-level data recovery. Previous works in this field classify data fragment based on its file type. Still, the classification efficiency is low, especially when the data fragment is a part of a composite *** propose a fine-grained approach to classifying data fragment from the low-level flash memory to improve the classification accuracy and efficiency. The proposed method redefines flash-memory-page data recognition problem based on the encoding format of the data segment, and applies a hybrid machine learning algorithm to detect the data type of the flash page. The hybrid algorithm can significantly decompose the given data space and reduce the cost of training. The experimental results show that our method achieves better classification accuracy and higher time performance than the existing methods.

fMRI (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) visual decoding involves decoding the original image from brain signals elicited by visual stimuli. This often relies on manually labeled ROIs (Regions of Interest) to select brain voxels. However, these ROIs can contain redundant information and noise, reducing decoding performance. Additionally, the lack of automated ROI labeling methods hinders the practical application of fMRI visual decoding technology, especially for new subjects. This work presents TROI (Trainable Region of Interest), a novel two-stage, data-driven ROI labeling method for cross-subject fMRI decoding tasks, particularly when subject samples are limited. TROI leverages labeled ROIs in the dataset to pretrain an image decoding backbone on a cross-subject dataset, enabling efficient optimization of the input layer for new subjects without retraining the entire model from scratch. In the first stage, we introduce a voxel selection method that combines sparse mask training and low-pass filtering to quickly generate the voxel mask and determine input layer dimensions. In the second stage, we apply a learning rate rewinding strategy to fine-tune the input layer for downstream tasks. Experimental results on the same small sample dataset as the baseline method for brain visual retrieval and reconstruction tasks show that our voxel selection method surpasses the state-of-the-art method MindEye2 with an annotated ROI mask. © 2025 IEEE.

Developing upon open system architecture, Software-Defined Spacecraft, as a new generation of spacecraft, can support payload plug-and-play, application software loading as needed, and system function reconfiguration on demand. Therefore, the Software-Defined Spacecraft is able to solve the design and application limitations of traditional specific-designed spacecraft, making it become a significant developing trend of future spacecraft. Regarding to the software defined spacecraft bus, this paper analyzes the requirements for avionics system on the aspects of space field development, technology development and corresponding applications. Recently,the Third Pole(TP)region has experienced rapid environmental *** data are essential for hydrometeorological and ecological applications but still have large uncertainties on the TP owing to the heterogeneous land surface,complex terrain,and sparse weather *** this study,a long-term(1979–2020)high-resolution(1/30°)meteorological forcing dataset for the TP(TPMFD)was developed,as a sister to the widely used China Meteorological Forcing Dataset(CMFD).The TPMFD comprises seven components necessary for driving land surface *** have previously contributed precipitation and downward shortwave radiation data for the TPMFD,and this study presents the development of five other components and focuses on validations for all ***,2-meter air temperature,2-meter specific humidity,10-meter wind speed,and surface air pressure were generated by combining the fifth-generation atmospheric reanalysis for European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ERA5),a short-term high-resolution atmospheric simulation,and in situ observations,and the downward longwave radiation was calculated using semi-physical *** cross-validation and independent-validation demonstrated that most variables in the developed dataset outperformed those in widely used reanalysis datasets,including ERA5,ERA5-Land,and the Global Land Data Assimilation system(GLDAS).This dataset is expected to be beneficial for climate analyses and modeling applications of land-surface processes on the TP.

Device connectivity has been redefined by the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, enabling diverse applications in areas such as smart cities, smart homes, and healthcare. These applications produce massive amounts of data, making it a significant challenge to offload tasks to cloud servers. However, the physical distance between devices often leads to latency issues for IoT systems, impacting time-sensitive applications. Fog computing tackles this issue by processing data closer to IoT devices. However, a high user density can strain the capacity of a macro base station, potentially leading to congestion. Drone Base Stations (DBSs) provide a flexible solution by acting as mobile relays to reduce latency and traffic burden. To address this issue, this work proposes a drone-assisted load distribution strategy in IoT networks. In our proposed approach, we deploy DBS efficiently using a greedy optimization technique. However, after the deployment of DBS, an optimal base station assignment framework dynamically connects user equipment to the most suitable base station, helping to minimize latency and enhance network performance. This dual-phase approach provides a scalable and practical solution for realtime IoT applications. Through extensive simulations, ensures that our proposed approach achieves a more balanced assignment compared to baseline algorithms. © 2025 IEEE.

Home-based bilateral training using exoskeletons is considered an effective rehabilitation method to restore the normal motion function of stroke patients' limbs. However, due to the imbalance of limb muscle strength, muscle compensation of the functional upper limb will cause surface electromyography (sEMG) signal fluctuations. The signal fluctuations will lead to prediction errors, thereby affecting the effect of bilateral rehabilitation. To eliminate the prediction error caused by muscle compensation, a novel rehabilitation module for a home-based bilateral rehabilitation robotic system is proposed in this letter. This sEMG-driven rehabilitation module, which incorporates the channel splitting and transferable frequency domain, first identifies the type of muscle compensation mixed in continuous movement and then eliminates the error caused by muscle compensation. Online experiments were conducted to evaluate the system in tracking accuracy and muscle-compensation-error elimination, which showed the proposed rehabilitation system with rehabilitation module achieved fast adaption to the patient's compensatory movement as well as improving the effect of robot-assisted bilateral training. © 2025 IEEE.

In Information Centric Networking(ICN)where content is the object of exchange,in-network caching is a unique functional feature with the ability to handle data storage and distribution in remote sensing satellite *** up cache space at any node enables users to access data nearby,thus relieving the processing pressure on the ***,the existing caching strategies still suffer from the lack of global planning of cache contents and low utilization of cache resources due to the lack of fine-grained division of cache *** address the issues mentioned,a cooperative caching strategy(CSTL)for remote sensing satellite networks based on a two-layer caching model is *** two-layer caching model is constructed by setting up separate cache spaces in the satellite network and the ground *** caching of popular contents in the region at the ground station to reduce the access delay of users.A content classification method based on hierarchical division is proposed in the satellite network,and differential probabilistic caching is employed for different levels of *** cached content is also dynamically adjusted by analyzing the subsequent changes in the popularity of the cached *** the two-layer caching model,ground stations and satellite networks collaboratively cache to achieve global planning of cache contents,rationalize the utilization of cache resources,and reduce the propagation delay of remote sensing *** results show that the CSTL strategy not only has a high cache hit ratio compared with other caching strategies but also effectively reduces user request delay and server load,which satisfies the timeliness requirement of remote sensing data transmission.

Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog(namely KRAS)is a key biomarker for prognostic analysis and targeted therapy of colorectal ***,the advancement of machine learning,especially deep learning,has greatly promoted the development of KRAS mutation detection from tumor phenotype data,such as pathology slides or radiology ***,there are still two major problems in existing studies:inadequate single-modal feature learning and lack of multimodal phenotypic feature *** this paper,we propose a Disentangled Representation-based Multimodal Fusion framework integrating Pathomics and Radiomics(DRMF-PaRa)for KRAS mutation ***,the DRMF-PaRa model consists of three parts:(1)the pathomics learning module,which introduces a tissue-guided Transformer model to extract more comprehensive and targeted pathological features;(2)the radiomics learning module,which captures the generic hand-crafted radiomics features and the task-specific deep radiomics features;(3)the disentangled representation-based multimodal fusion module,which learns factorized subspaces for each modality and provides a holistic view of the two heterogeneous phenotypic *** proposed model is developed and evaluated on a multi modality dataset of 111 colorectal cancer patients with whole slide images and contrast-enhanced *** experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed DRMF-PaRa model with an accuracy of 0.876 and an AUC of 0.865 for KRAS mutation detection.

Healthcare systems all over the world are strained as the COVID-19 pandemic's spread becomes more widespread. The only realistic strategy to avoid asymptomatic transmission is to monitor social distance, as there are no viable medical therapies or vaccinations for it. A unique computer vision-based framework that uses deep learning is to analyze the images that are needed to measure social distance. This technique uses the key point regressor to identify the important feature points utilizing the Visual Geometry Group (VGG19) which is a standard Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture having multiple layers, MobileNetV2 which is a computer vision network that advances the-state-of-art for mobile visual identification, including semantic segmentation, classification and object identification. VGG19 and MobileNetV2 were trained on the Kaggle dataset. The border boxes for the item may be seen as well as the crowd is sizeable, and red identified faces are then analyzed by MobileNetV2 to detect whether the person is wearing a mask or not. The distance between the observed people has been calculated using the Euclidian distance. Pretrained models like (You only look once) YOLOV3 which is a real-time object detection system, RCNN, and Resnet50 are used in our embedded vision system environment to identify social distance on images. The framework YOLOV3 performs an overall accuracy of 95% using transfer learning technique runs in 22ms which is four times fast than other predefined models. In the proposed model we achieved an accuracy of 96.67% using VGG19 and 98.38% using MobileNetV2, this beats all other models in its ability to estimate social distance and face mask. © 2023 IEEE.
