In the evolving landscape of surveillance and security applications, the task of person re-identification(re-ID) has significant importance, but also presents notable difficulties. This task entails the process of accurately matching and identifying persons across several camera views that do not overlap with one another. This is of utmost importance to video surveillance, public safety, and person-tracking applications. However, vision-related difficulties, such as variations in appearance, occlusions, viewpoint changes, cloth changes, scalability, limited robustness to environmental factors, and lack of generalizations, still hinder the development of reliable person re-ID methods. There are few approaches have been developed based on these difficulties relied on traditional deep-learning techniques. Nevertheless, recent advancements of transformer-based methods, have gained widespread adoption in various domains owing to their unique architectural properties. Recently, few transformer-based person re-ID methods have developed based on these difficulties and achieved good results. To develop reliable solutions for person re-ID, a comprehensive analysis of transformer-based methods is necessary. However, there are few studies that consider transformer-based techniques for further investigation. This review proposes recent literature on transformer-based approaches, examining their effectiveness, advantages, and potential challenges. This review is the first of its kind to provide insights into the revolutionary transformer-based methodologies used to tackle many obstacles in person re-ID, providing a forward-thinking outlook on current research and potentially guiding the creation of viable applications in real-world scenarios. Security to text (S2T): multi-layered based security approaches for secret text content

In the digital world, text data is produced in an unstructured manner across various communication channels. Extracting valuable information from such data with security is crucial and requires the development of techniques in text mining, information retrieval, and natural language processing (NLP). To solve this issue, we introduce two novel approaches: keyword extraction (KE) and a multi-layered secret sharing scheme (MLSS) to provide security to extracted keywords rather than overall text documents. The KE approach encompasses a sequence of text pre-processing procedures, including tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and bag of words representation, followed by indexing. This methodology aims to efficiently extract keywords from text datasets. For this research work, we have proposed three datasets, including text messages, whatsapp messages, and electronic mail. MLSS enhances the security of extracted textual data by leveraging text pre-processing steps. This scheme ensures better confidentiality and the non-revealment of sensitive information. Additionally, we evaluate our KE model on our dataset as well as on standard datasets. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed security to text (S2T) model, which outperform existing state-of-the-art approaches. Multimodal hateful content detection is a challenging task that requires complex reasoning across visual and textual modalities. Therefore, creating a meaningful multimodal representation that effectively captures the interplay between visual and textual features through intermediate fusion is critical. Conventional fusion techniques are unable to attend to the modality-specific features effectively. Moreover, most studies exclusively concentrated on English and overlooked other low-resource languages. This paper proposes a context-aware attention framework for multimodal hateful content detection and assesses it for both English and non-English languages. The proposed approach incorporates an attention layer to meaningfully align the visual and textual features. This alignment enables selective focus on modality-specific features before fusing them. We evaluate the proposed approach on two benchmark hateful meme datasets, viz. MUTE (Bengali code-mixed) and MultiOFF (English). Evaluation results demonstrate our proposed approach’s effectiveness with F1-scores of 69.7% and 70.3% for the MUTE and MultiOFF datasets. The scores show approximately 2.5% and 3.2% performance improvement over the state-of-the-art systems on these datasets. The innovation for entrepreneurial systems and the advocacy to enact policies that institutionalise it had recently flooded the literature. Every system has fundamental principles responsible for their state, progress and change;such is the impact of the Igbo apprenticeship scheme on the entrepreneurial system. This has recently resulted in many scholars calling for government involvement through enacting policies that will make the scheme all-inclusive for sustainable economic growth in developing economies. Amongst the huge body of literature in its advocacy, none has addressed the question of the underlying principles for reproducing the relations in terms of the mathematical phenomena that the system embodies. This work shows that the success of the Ndịgbo apprenticeship hinges on certain defined underlying metaphorical mathematical functional patterns responsible for the strategic informal management behavioural model. The symbolic characteristics derived from the informal discipleship learning mode are activated for commerce, by young males and their hands-on in trading, with persistent cooperation, integrity, communication and collective purposeful attempts to succeed. The evidence of the model described is extracted from the explorative and exploitative trajectories that emerged from their goal-pursuing dedications to satisfy customer needs, with optimal methods for managing resources and building economies of scale, emerge. This is known as Ịgba-ọsọ-ahịa. This work reveals that Ịgba-ọsọ-ahịa embodies attributes of models that have shaped world-class productive systems such as (a) the geometrical Mandelbrot model, (b) Markov Chain variant with a backoff process, (c) stochastic nonlinear models, (d) network spatial model and (e) system computational model. Finally, a simplistic novel stochastic model of the socio-economic processes is developed to solve complex engineering decisions and hyperparameter optimisation problems in this work. © 2024 SAGE Publicatio

Ọdịgbo Metaheuristic Optimization Algorithm for Computation of Real-Parameters and engineering Design Optimization

This paper proposes a new population-based global optimization algorithm, Ọdịgbo Metaheuristic Optimization Algorithm–ỌMOA, for solving complex bounded-constraint/single objective real-parameter problems found in most engineering and scientific applications. It’s inspired by the human socio-cultural informal discipleship learning pattern inherent in the behavior of the Ndịgbo peoples;the subject – primary (Nwa-ahịa), in mercantile cycle grows to a secondary (Mazi) owing to the intuitive stratagem (dialect - Ịgba) embedded in an aged-long cultural model ―Ịgba-ọsọ-ahịa‖ (meaning, strategic marketing skills, and practice). The model mimics the search routine for satisfying a customer’s need in the market, built into exploration and exploitation applied in the mathematical model. About 30 complex classical unconstrained functions are tested, comparing results with that of five similar state-of-the-art algorithms. Also, 29 CEC-2017 single objective real constraint benchmark serious dimensional problems were simulated and compared against the winners of that competition. Validation includes statistical (t-test, p-value) comparison and for 50 Dimension constraint problems as ỌMOA demonstrated superior performance. TCS (9.18%), WBP (6.3%), PVDP (601%), RGP (319%), RBP (760%), GTCD (202%), HIMMELBLAU (4%), and CDP (88.12%) are the improvements made on 8 CEC-2020 engineering real design problems against the former best performances;OMOA is simple to implement, replicate and applicable across domains. Skin that becomes unnaturally elevated, discoloured, or behaves in another unusual way may indicate a more serious health issue, such as skin cancer. Lesions on the skin, on the other hand, deviate from the skin's typical appearance and may point to more serious health issues. Accurate localization of diseased areas is challenging due to the complexity and expense of diagnostic tests;however, early lesion detection is essential for cancer prevention and diagnosis. The innovative automated method described in this article relies on Transfer Learning (TL), and its fundamental component is the use of DenseNet models. We have fine-tuned these models to repeatedly concatenate three attention modules, effectively extracting salient data for lesion identification. Before using concatenation to generate final features, it is necessary to fine-tune and incorporate attention mechanisms into all DenseNet models. For each version of DenseNet, the outcome of carrying out this method is Double Layer Concatenated DenseNet (DLCD). Using the ISIC 2019 dataset as an example, the proposed model reaches a remarkable 91.61% accuracy. Using GradCAM to pinpoint the precise region for categorization is one way to enhance the explainability of the architecture. We improve the study's accuracy while advancing the use of TL and other augmentation approaches. The results of this research provide techniques to improve the identification and early detection of skin lesions, perhaps resulting in a reduction in the incidence of skin cancer. © 2024 IEEE.

Video security has emerged as an essential study inultimedia security in recent years because videos are the most effective and widely used multimedia format and immediately establish a connection with users. It is necessary to prevent sensitive information from being stolen or destroyed in various domains, including the military, finance, and education. The proposed STKVS framework ensures the summarized video’s security in secret keyframes (SK) rather than securing the whole video to reduce the computation, complexity, and processing needs and recover lossless SK. STKVS framework consists of a secure keyframes-based generic Video Summarization (VS) model to generate a secure video summary. It extracts SK from the video using the proposed Probability-Based VS (PBVS). Then, it utilizes the proposed BEMSS (Blockwise Encryption-based Multi Secret Sharing) scheme to provide multi-secret image sharing to the SK. The proposed model PBVS achieved an average F-score of 0.73 and 0.76 on two benchmark (OV and YT) datasets, respectively, showing its effectiveness in producing informative video summaries. The concept of solar cell is changing the world in obtaining a clean energy that is an environment user friendly source of energy. Solar arrays process and convert the irradiance which is representing the quantity of light that comes from sun to a usable energy. The maximum power point which is denoted by Maximum power (Pmax) can be efficiently extracted from solar panels through the implementation of a tracking system denoted by the maximum power point tracking algorithm (MPPT). Such a tracking system is well known and utilized in detecting the ultimate maximum power that can be taken from the PV solar arrays under the circumstances of the various changes in both the temperature and irradiance. Through this analysis study, the Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm will be proposed to adjust the perturbation steps that will be controlled by an enhanced fuzzy logic controller. It will utilize the fuzzy concepts to extract the maximum power. In this research paper an analysis will be conducted to find the unknown parameters of the PV module along in selecting the appropriate set of fuzzy rules/fuzzy table as well as introducing a high gain dc-dc boost converter to improve the efficiency of power, response time, and reducing the oscillation around the Pmax in the proposed photovoltaic system. © 2025 The Author(s).
