Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a vast field that allows the development of programs capable of simulating human intelligence. One of the most used AI techniques that is very important the preparation of raw data which is called data preprocessing in Machine Learning. Data preprocessing is a technique that makes the data clean for machine learning and improves the performance of the model. With the different steps that we found already defined we set up a simpler architecture for data preprocessing. For that purpose, we worked with 5644 data simple of Covid-19. After analyzing the contours of our data;we have as steps of this architecture first the collection of data, the cleaning of these data, the encoding, the normalization of the data, the imputation to manage the missing values, then the selection of variables and finally the selection of features. We obtain an accuracy of 78% as a result of our experimentation with a very small error rate. This Covid-19 detection prediction result shows that data preprocessing plays an important role in Machine Learning. © ICST Institute for computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

This work addresses bi-objective hybrid flow shop scheduling problems considering consistent sublots(Bi-HFSP_CS).The objectives are to minimize the makespan and total energy ***,the Bi-HFSP_CS is formalized,followed by the establishment of a mathematical ***,enhanced version of the artificial bee colony(ABC)algorithms is proposed for tackling the Bi-HFSP_***,fourteen local search operators are employed to search for better *** different Q-learning tactics are developed to embed into the ABC algorithm to guide the selection of operators throughout the iteration ***,the proposed tactics are assessed for their efficacy through a comparison of the ABC algorithm,its three variants,and three effective algorithms in resolving 95 instances of 35 different *** experimental results and analysis showcase that the enhanced ABC algorithm combined with Q-learning(QABC1)demonstrates as the top performer for solving concerned *** study introduces a novel approach to solve the Bi-HFSP_CS and illustrates its efficacy and superior competitive strength,offering beneficial perspectives for exploration and research in relevant domains.

The smart city idea differs between cities and nations. In all meanings and characteristics of a smart city, public involvement is the only thing that remains common. Therefore, it is a very significant field to study human behaviour and development in smart cities. This paper presents a framework for identifying qualities necessary for people to be classified as intelligent persons and to integrate these human behavioural characteristics in cyber technology. Human behaviour in a smart city has been analysed using the machine learning algorithm and big data analytics. The integrated machine learning and big data analytics framework (iML-BD) classifies the cyber behaviour of intelligent persons in a smart city by observing the cyber activities performed by the individuals. Furthermore, this paper handles the risk factors for cyber-acquired and cyber-dependant crime violence and abuse that vulnerable internet and public access devices using blockchain technology. Blockchain is a method of storing data that takes too long to alter, modify, or manipulate. A blockchain is an electronic accounting system that is reproduced and spread through the Bitcoin protocol’s entire communication network. The case study performed on iML-BD has resulted in the highest performance in terms of prediction accuracy of 94.98%. Copyright © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Herein, we propose high-performance Ti/STO/n+-Si and Ag/STO/n+-Si write-once-read-many-times devices, where the resistance transition mechanisms are controlled by oxygen vacancies in the STO layer and metal atoms from the electrochemically active Ag electrode, respectively. The as-deposited STO films have a low oxygen-vacancy content of 12.2%. When the Ti electrode is deposited, the formation of a thin TiOx interfacial layer at the Ti/STO interface is achieved, which leads to an increase of oxygen vacancy content in the STO layer to 28.6%. The relatively higher oxygen vacancy density means that the Ti/STO/n+-Si device can provide a voltage-polarity-independent memory function. In contrast, the resistance transition of the Ag/STO/n+-Si device can be limited in the positive voltage region because Ag cations can only be driven into the STO layer using a positive bias. Both devices show high ILRS/IHRS ratios, superior data retention capability, and fast transition speeds. © 2024 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

The development of the digital communication system is increasing rapidly and all the manual data management process is massively converted to the digital processing system to make faster processing and reduce the valuable time of human users and increase productivity. Now the input and output system of the device is converted to a higher-level interface medium so that the device can communicate with the user and environment through audiovisual components and communicate like a human. Also in the present scenario devices are implemented by human society to deal with very secure and sensitive information like banking, the military, the research environment, the medical sector, etc. Hence there is a chance of misutilization of information through the device. Many Security using mathematical techniques like cryptography, digital signature, etc. are used to make secure information from the unauthentic person, but to protect the copywriting of the digital information watermark technology is used. Through the watermark, we can add the identification of the owner hence the other person can not claim or tamper with the information for its misutilization. Biomedical health monitoring systems are evolving rapidly and using non-invasive and cost effective sensors. These systems can monitor physiological parameters of the body to monitor health conditions and provide feedback. These new generation systems can use advance technologies to build intelligent systems for health monitoring and timely diseases detection and diagnosis. Biomedical signal processing and analysis of the patterns in the signals plays important role in building efficient systems, life sciences and research and is rapidly expanding in this domain. This review paper is significant as no existing review paper is giving complete information on biomedical signal processing phases as a whole. It makes four contributions;first, it gives activity flow for developing biomedical signal processing systems. Second, reviews various recent applications researched and kinds of low cost, non-invasive sensors used for biomedical health monitoring. Third, categorisation and enlisting of signal processing techniques like signal sampling, segmentation, filtering, feature extraction, dimensionality reduction and machine learning techniques in healthcare domain. Fourth, it reviews challenges in using signal processing techniques and gives future perspectives which can be helpful for the researchers to use advance techniques to build intelligent systems for reliable decision making. One of the significant opportunities for reducing energy waste and carbon emissions is the renovation, modernization, and rehabilitation of existing buildings. Replacing the windows of existing residential buildings with new energy-efficient ones is an easy way to upgrade an existing home into a nearly zero-energy building, NZEB (nearly zero-energy building). There is a wide variety of methods to discover the thermal weak points of a building, and the continuous innovation of construction materials provides solutions to maximize energy savings and minimize heat transfer to the exterior. This document presents a methodology for visualizing and recording the temperature distribution on the investigated surface of the building envelope to identify and locate vulnerable points where heat losses to the exterior are substantial. The objective was to highlight the need for upgrading the insulation system and replacing the existing windows of the analyzed building based on a multi-objective approach to maximize the building's energy performance and increase thermal comfort indoors. Using a Fluke Ti300+ Thermal Camera, energy losses were visualized through thermographic assessments, which could provide an adequate picture for accurately assessing the building's condition before renovation, to evaluate the need for partial renovation. For the case study, a residential building with one floor and mansard roof located in a region with hot summers and cold winters in Romania was chosen. The results showed that there are several options for significantly reducing the building's energy consumption. Thus, multiple energy efficiency solutions were proposed for the building to reduce heat losses. ©2024 IEEE.

The Sign Language Translation and Voice Impairment Support System (SLT-VISS) represents a groundbreaking application of deep learning methodology aimed at facilitating communication for individuals with hearing impairments or speech disabilities. By utilizing Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), OpenCV for image processing, and Pyttsx3 for text-to-voice conversion, SLT-VISS offers real-time translation of sign language gestures into both text and speech output. Using a camera as input, the CNN algorithm accurately identifies and classifies sign language gestures displayed in front of it. OpenCV complements this process by preprocessing the input images for gesture segmentation and feature extraction, enhancing the accuracy of gesture recognition. Once a gesture is recognized, Pyttsx3 converts the translated text into synthesized speech, providing immediate auditory feedback to the user. SLT-VISS is designed to bridge the communication gap faced by individuals with communication disabilities, enabling them to express themselves effectively in various social and professional settings. By seamlessly translating sign language into both text and speech, this system promotes inclusivity and accessibility, empowering users to communicate with confidence and independence. The integration of CNN, OpenCV, and Pyttsx3 technologies within SLT-VISS signifies a significant advancement in assistive technology. As technology continues to evolve, further enhancements to SLT-VISS holds the potential to revolutionize communication accessibility and enable greater inclusivity in society. © 2024 IEEE.

The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has significantly increased the complexity of software architectures, leading to heightened vulnerabilities and system inefficiencies. AI-infused Predictive Digital Twin Systems provide a promising approach by integrating real-time data analytics with predictive AI models to monitor, forecast, and enhance the health and security of IoT software architectures. This paper introduces an AI-Infused Predictive Digital Twin System designed to create resilient IoT software architectures. Experimental validation was conducted using a large-scale IoT network with 1,000 interconnected devices. The AI-Infused Predictive Digital Twin System achieved a 97.8% accuracy in anomaly detection, with a 28% reduction in system disruptions compared to conventional monitoring solutions. The RL-based optimization module resulted in a 20% improvement in resource utilization efficiency and a 30% increase in overall system resilience under varying load conditions. The integration of the blockchain audit layer significantly improved traceability and reduced security breach recovery time by 40%. The AI-Infused Predictive Digital Twin System provides an innovative solution for developing resilient IoT software architectures. By integrating predictive AI models and real-time digital twin technology, the framework enables continuous monitoring, proactive anomaly detection, and dynamic optimization. The experimental results demonstrate the system's capability to enhance resilience, efficiency, and security in complex IoT environments, making it a valuable tool for managing and securing next-generation IoT architectures. Future work will explore expanding the system's capabilities to support multi-cloud IoT networks and developing more sophisticated AI models for enhanced predictive accuracy and operational efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.
