The construction of discontinuous Galerkin (DG) methods for the compressible Euler equations includes the approximation of non-linear flux terms in the volume integrals. The terms can lead to aliasing and stability issues. The entropy and kinetic energy are elevated in smooth, but under-resolved parts of the solution which are affected by aliasing. In this work the split form DG framework is used to construct entropy conservative (EC) or kinetic energy preserving (KEP) nodal discontinuous Galerkin spectral element methods (DGSEM) to solve the Euler equations on moving hexahedral meshes. The Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) approach is used to include the effect of mesh motion in the split form DG methods. Since the EC or KEP property is not sufficient to tame discontinuities in the numerical solution, the split form ALE DGSEM are modified by adding numerical dissipation matrices to the EC or KEP surface numerical fluxes. This leads to entropy stable (ES) or kinetic energy dissipative (KED) methods. The three dimensional Taylor-Green vortex (TGV) is investigated to analyze the properties of the constructed split form ALE DGSEM. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The creation of an algorithm for recognizing pathological abnormalities in cystic fibrosis is investigated in this paper using the CNN model with a modified psp-net. Currently, Decision Trees, Random Forests, PSP Nets, and Neural Networks are utilized in the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. Since convolutional neural networks (CNNs) can process complicated picture data rapidly and efficiently, the goal of this study is to use CNNs for the detection of anomalies associated with cystic fibrosis. The method groups distinct annotated images into a simple and efficient structure, runs the set of images through a multiscale CNN procedure, and precisely locates the lung region affected by cystic fibrosis. The result of this paper demonstrated that differences in the training dataset can impact performance, but annotating CT images and categorizing them in terms of similar pathologies can improve the accuracy of the model. The proposed CNN model achieved an Accuracy of 84 %, Precision of 74%, Recall of 79%, F1-Score of 72%, error rate of 16% Which is better when compared with existing approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

LLM-based methods for the creation of unit tests in game development

Problems related to the quality of games, whether on the initial release or after updates, can lead to player dissatisfaction, media attention, and potential financial setbacks. These issues can stem from software bugs, performance bottlenecks, or security vulnerabilities. Despite these challenges, game developers often rely on manual playtesting, highlighting the need for more robust and automated processes in game development. This research explores the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate the creation of unit tests in game development, focusing on strongly typed programming languages such as C++ and C#, which are widely used in the industry. The study focuses on fine-tuning Code Llama, an advanced code generation model, to address common scenarios in game development, including game engines and specific APIs or backends. Although the prototyping and evaluations primarily took place within the Unity game engine, the proposed methods can be adapted to other internal or publicly available solutions. The evaluation results demonstrate these methods’ effectiveness in improving existing unit test suites or automatically generating new tests based on natural language descriptions of class contexts and targeted methods.

We often open our eyes in the morning with the appalling news of data breaches of different popular companies. This is a significant threat not only to giant companies but also to the general people's privacy. Various methods are maneuvered for data breaches, and identifying these methods in a short can help understand the loss and take proper steps against these incidents. Researchers nowadays focus on the data breaches issue to reduce its threats to the tech industry. In this research, we have used advanced deep learning methods(e.g., BERT, XLNet, and Electra) to predict data breach methods using the data breach story. The proposed classifier has provided an accuracy of 92.86%. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the segmentation techniques with the greatest degree of success used in numerous recent applications is multi-level thresholding. The selection of appropriate threshold values presents difficulties for traditional methods, however, and, as a result, techniques have been developed to address these difficulties multidimensionally. Such approaches have been shown to be an efficient way of identifying the areas affected in multi-cancer cases in order to define the treatment area. Multi-cancer methods that facilitate a certain degree of competence are thus required. This study tested storing MRI brain scans in a multidimensional image database, which is a significant departure from past studies, as a way to improve the efficacy, efficiency, and sensitivity of cancer detection. The evaluation findings offered success rates for cancer diagnoses of 99.08%, 99.87%, 94%;97.08%, 98.3%, and 93.38% sensitivity;the success rates of in particular were 99.99%;98.23%, 99.53%, and 99.98%. © 2023 Slovene Society Informatika. One of the most common cancers among women worldwide is breast cancer (BC), and early diagnosis can save lives. Early detection of BC increases the likelihood of a successful outcome by enabling treatment to start sooner. Even in areas without access to a specialist physician, machine learning (ML) aids in early BC detection. The medical imaging community is becoming more interested in using ML, and deep learning (DL) to increase the accuracy of cancer screening. Many disease-related data are sparse. However, for DL models to perform well, a large amount of data is required. Because of this, the DL models that are currently in use on medical images are not as effective as they could be. Convolutional neural network (CNN) models have recently gained popularity in the medical industry, and they perform admirably in terms of high performance and robustness at image classification. The proposed method classifies data using ensemble pre-trained models such as the dense convolutional network (DenseNet)-121 and EfficientNet-B5 feature extractor networks, as well as the support vector machine for classification. Using a modified meta-heuristic optimizer, the selected pre-trained CNN hyperparameters were optimized to improve the performance. The experimental results for the presented model on the INbreast dataset show that the EfficientNet-B5 model is effective for BC classification, with overall accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, and area under the ROC curve (AUC) values of 99.9%, 99.9%, 99.8%, 99.1%, 1.0, respectively. © The Author(s) 2024.

In recent years, genetic programming-based evolutionary feature construction has shown great potential in various applications. However, a critical challenge in applying this technique is the need to select an appropriate selection operator with great care. To tackle this issue, this paper introduces a novel approach that leverages the Thompson sampling technique to automatically choose the optimal selection operator based on semantic information of genetic programming models gathered during the evolutionary process. The experimental results on a standard symbolic regression benchmark containing 37 datasets show that the proposed adaptive operator selection algorithm outperforms expert-designed operators, demonstrating the effectiveness of the adaptive operator selection algorithm. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

In this paper, we develop a 3D based CNN for Improved Segmentation of Paddy Fields from the HSI. Within the scope of this research, we will investigate a unique deep learning model, specifically 3D-CNN. In order to evaluate the validity of the model, it is applied to three separate datasets, each of which is then subjected to one of four distinct dimensionality reduction strategies. The purpose of this is to determine which of these four models is the most effective at reducing the number of dimensions. According to the findings, the 3D-CNN model is superior to both the AlexNet and CNN models in terms of the accuracy of its segmentations. In addition to this, the findings demonstrate that the 3D-CNN models perform better than the other approaches in terms of segmentation accuracy with a smaller number of datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Forecasting sea levels is crucial for harbour operations and coastal structure design. The oceans make up two-thirds of Earth’s surface;therefore, historically, the marine economy has been extremely diversified as well as abundant. In order to explore as well as harness this difficult environment, prominent businesses and ecological groups are developing and deploying novel gadgets backed by state-of-the-art marine mechatronics solutions. This research proposes a novel method of marine life monitoring with ocean water level rise analysis based on climate changes by underwater imaging using machine learning techniques. Here, the input has been collected as underwater images as well as processed for noise removal and normalisation. Then, these images were segmented for monitoring marine life using U-Net graph cut fuzzy clustering with a spatial neural network. Then this segmented image has been classified using multilayer region-based Q-belief vector neural networks for the analysis of sea level rise analysis based on climate change training. Experimental analysis has been carried out for various marine life monitoring datasets and climate change datasets in terms of training accuracy, specificity, recall, AUC, and Kappa-coefficient. Proposed techniques achieved specificity 93%, training accuracy 91%, AUC 95%, recall 96%, and Kappa-coefficient 90%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
