Novel computer-Aided Diagnosis System for the Early Detection of Alzheimer’s Disease

Aging is a natural process that leads to debility,disease,and ***’s disease(AD)causes degeneration of the brain cells leading to cognitive decline and memory loss,as well as dependence on others to fulfill basic daily *** is the major cause of ***-aided diagnosis(CADx)tools aid medical practitioners in accurately identifying diseases such as AD in *** study aimed to develop a CADx tool for the early detection of AD using the Intelligent Water Drop(IWD)algorithm and the Random Forest(RF)*** IWD algorithm an efficient feature selection method,was used to identify the most deterministic features of AD in the *** is an ensemble method that leverages multiple weak learners to classify a patient’s disease as either demented(DN)or cognitively normal(CN).The proposed tool also classifies patients as mild cognitive impairment(MCI)or *** dataset on which the performance of the proposed CADx was evaluated was sourced from the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative(ADNI).The RF ensemble method achieves 100%accuracy in identifying DN patients from CN *** classification accuracy for classifying patients as MCI or CN is 92%.This study emphasizes the significance of pre-processing prior to classification to improve the classification results of the proposed CADx tool.

StackGridCov: a robust stacking ensemble learning-based model integrated with GridSearchCV hyperparameter tuning technique for mutation prediction of COVID-19 virus

The emergence of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused great fear and panic around the world. In order to fight the COVID-19 virus, countries have had to develop some vaccines and drugs. Unfortunately, the effectiveness of these vaccines and drugs has diminished significantly due to the frequent mutations of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, if future mutations on the Spike (S) protein of the COVID-19 virus can be predicted, vaccines and drugs can be developed faster and the fight against the COVID-19 virus can be easier. As in every field, artificial intelligence (AI)-based approaches also offer promising results in COVID-19 mutation prediction. However, finding the best hyperparameter value to improve the performance of each AI-based approach is quite difficult. In this study, we propose a robust StackGridCov model to predict future mutations on the COVID-19 virus. We utilize GridSearchCV hyperparameter tuning algorithm to improve the performance of the proposed StackGridCov model. Our main aim is to predict future mutations on the COVID-19 virus using the proposed StackGridCov model. In addition, to evaluate the performance of the proposed StackGridCov model, we carry out mutation prediction on the previously emerged influenza A/H1N1 HA virus dataset. The experimental results show that the proposed StackGridCov model outperforms 0.6623 accuracy, 0.6723 F1-score and 0.3273 MCC both the literature and other models. The results indicate that the proposed StackGridCov model can make a reliable contribution to predict mutations in both COVID-19 virus datasets and influenza A/H1N1 HA virus dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

The Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to human *** widespread deployment of wireless micro sensors will make it possible to conduct accurate environmental monitoring for a use in both civil and military *** make use of these data to monitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environment in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they may be *** nodes of the WSNs are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environmental *** objective of this study is to further improve the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long time while consuming the least amount of *** lifespan of WSNs is being extended often using clustering and routing *** Meta Inspired Hawks Fragment Optimization(MIHFO)system,which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optimization(HWAFO)selects the optimum path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They examine the number of nodes that are active,their energy consumption,and the number of data packets that the BS *** overall experimentation is carried out under the MATLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcomes in terms of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consumption.

Fog computing is a key enabling technology of 6G systems as it provides quick and reliable computing,and data storage services which are required for several 6G *** Intelligence(AI)algorithms will be an integral part of 6G systems and efficient task offloading techniques using fog computing will improve their performance and *** this paper,the focus is on the scenario of Partial Offloading of a Task to Multiple Helpers(POMH)in which larger tasks are divided into smaller subtasks and processed in parallel,hence expediting task ***,using POMH presents challenges such as breaking tasks into subtasks and scaling these subtasks based on many interdependent factors to ensure that all subtasks of a task finish simultaneously,preventing resource ***,applying matching theory to POMH scenarios results in dynamic preference profiles of helping devices due to changing subtask sizes,resulting in a difficult-to-solve,externalities *** paper introduces a novel many-to-one matching-based algorithm,designed to address the externalities problem and optimize resource allocation within POMH ***,we propose a new time-efficient preference profiling technique that further enhances time optimization in POMH *** performance of the proposed technique is thoroughly evaluated in comparison to alternate baseline schemes,revealing many advantages of the proposed *** simulation findings indisputably show that the proposed matching-based offloading technique outperforms existing methodologies in the literature,yielding a remarkable 52 reduction in task latency,particularly under high workloads.

Over the past few years,the application and usage of Machine Learning(ML)techniques have increased exponentially due to continuously increasing the size of data and computing *** the popularity of ML techniques,only a few research studies have focused on the application of ML especially supervised learning techniques in Requirement engineering(RE)activities to solve the problems that occur in RE *** authors focus on the systematic mapping of past work to investigate those studies that focused on the application of supervised learning techniques in RE activities between the period of 2002–*** authors aim to investigate the research trends,main RE activities,ML algorithms,and data sources that were studied during this ***-five research studies were selected based on our exclusion and inclusion *** results show that the scientific community used 57 *** those algorithms,researchers mostly used the five following ML algorithms in RE activities:Decision Tree,Support Vector Machine,Naïve Bayes,K-nearest neighbour Classifier,and Random *** results show that researchers used these algorithms in eight major RE *** activities are requirements analysis,failure prediction,effort estimation,quality,traceability,business rules identification,content classification,and detection of problems in requirements written in natural *** selected research studies used 32 private and 41 public data *** most popular data sources that were detected in selected studies are the Metric Data Programme from NASA,Predictor Models in Software engineering,and iTrust Electronic Health Care System.

Effective Controller Placement in Software-Defined Internet-of-Things Leveraging Deep Q-Learning (DQL)

Enhanced Neural Differential Distinguisher for Speck32/64 Using Attention Mechanisms and Multi Ciphertext Inputs

In recent years, neural network-based differential distinguishers have demonstrated significant advantages in accuracy and effi-ciency over traditional differential distinguishers in symmetric cipher differential analysis. However, when dealing with ciphers involving a higher number of encryption rounds, neural network differential distinguishers still struggle to accurately identify ci-phertext pairs. To address this issue, this study proposes a neural network differential distinguisher model based on attention mechanisms and optimized ciphertext input structures. Specifically, the model first innovates the residual structure within the attention mechanism to maximize the weight of highly discriminative features, enhancing the feature extraction capability of the improved model. Secondly, a multi-scale convolution method is employed, integrating the network structure ideas of RegNet, with the addition of convolutional branches and optimization of activation functions, which further enhances the model's feature ex-traction capability. Finally, a multi-ciphertext input pattern is introduced to improve the input data information, and random key encryption is applied to the input ciphertext structure to construct multi-feature information representations of the ciphertext and encryption functions. The results from 5-8 rounds of experiments on Speck 32/64 indicate that the proposed new neural distinguisher can significantly improve discrimination accuracy to a maximum of 1.65%. On this basis, we carried out an optimization study on the construction method of the multi-ciphertext-pair dataset. The new dataset can increase the accuracy of the distinguisher by 49.16% compared to that of the single-ciphertext-pair case, and can extend the number of attack rounds from 7 to 8. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

In this paper,we analyze a hybrid Heterogeneous Cellular Network(HCNet)framework by deploying millimeter Wave(mmWave)small cells with coexisting traditional sub-6GHz macro cells to achieve improved coverage and high data *** consider randomly-deployed macro base stations throughout the network whereas mmWave Small Base Stations(SBSs)are deployed in the areas with high User Equipment(UE)*** user centric deployment of mmWave SBSs inevitably incurs correlation between UE and *** a realistic scenario where the UEs are distributed according to Poisson cluster process and directional beamforming with line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight transmissions is adopted for mmWave *** using tools from stochastic geometry,we develop an analytical framework to analyze various performance metrics in the downlink hybrid HCNets under biased received power *** UE clustering we considered Thomas cluster process and derive expressions for the association probability,coverage probability,area spectral efficiency,and energy *** also provide Monte Carlo simulation results to validate the accuracy of the derived ***,we analyze the impact of mmWave operating frequency,antenna gain,small cell biasing,and BSs density to get useful engineering insights into the performance of hybrid mmWave *** results show that network performance is significantly improved by deploying millimeter wave SBS instead of microwave BS in hot spots.

A Novel Action Transformer Network for Hybrid Multimodal Sign Language Recognition
