Indoor localization methods can help many sectors,such as healthcare centers,smart homes,museums,warehouses,and retail malls,improve their service *** a result,it is crucial to look for low-cost methods that can provide exact localization in indoor *** this context,imagebased localization methods can play an important role in estimating both the position and the orientation of cameras regarding an ***-based localization faces many issues,such as image scale and rotation ***,image-based localization’s accuracy and speed(latency)are two critical *** paper proposes an efficient 6-DoF deep-learning model for image-based *** model incorporates the channel attention module and the Scale PyramidModule(SPM).It not only enhances accuracy but also ensures the model’s real-time *** complex scenes,a channel attention module is employed to distinguish between the textures of the foregrounds and *** model adapted an SPM,a feature pyramid module for dealing with image scale and rotation variance ***,the proposed model employs two regressions(two fully connected layers),one for position and the other for orientation,which increases outcome *** on standard indoor and outdoor datasets show that the proposed model has a significantly lower Mean Squared Error(MSE)for both position and *** the indoor 7-Scenes dataset,the MSE for the position is reduced to 0.19 m and 6.25°for the ***,on the outdoor Cambridge landmarks dataset,the MSE for the position is reduced to 0.63 m and 2.03°for the *** to the findings,the proposed approach is superior and more successful than the baseline methods.

The IEEE802.15.4 standard has been widely used in modern industry due to its several benefits for stability,scalability,and enhancement of wireless mesh *** standard uses a physical layer of binary phase-shift keying(BPSK)modulation and can be operated with two frequency bands,868 and 915 *** frequency noise could interfere with the BPSK signal,which causes distortion to the signal before its arrival at ***,filtering the BPSK signal from noise is essential to ensure carrying the signal from the sen-der to the receiver with less ***,removing signal noise in the BPSK signal is necessary to mitigate its negative sequences and increase its capability in industrial wireless sensor ***,researchers have reported a posi-tive impact of utilizing the Kalmen filter in detecting the modulated signal at the receiver side in different communication systems,including ***-while,artificial neural network(ANN)and machine learning(ML)models outper-formed results for predicting signals for detection and classification *** paper develops a neural network predictive detection method to enhance the performance of BPSK ***,a simulation-based model is used to generate the modulated signal of BPSK in the IEEE802.15.4 wireless personal area network(WPAN)***,Gaussian noise was injected into the BPSK simulation *** reduce the noise of BPSK phase signals,a recurrent neural networks(RNN)model is implemented and integrated at the receiver side to esti-mate the BPSK’s phase *** evaluated our predictive-detection RNN model using mean square error(MSE),correlation coefficient,recall,and F1-score *** result shows that our predictive-detection method is superior to the existing model due to the low MSE and correlation coefficient(R-value)metric for different signal-to-noise(SNR)*** addition,our RNN-based model scored 98.71%and 96.34%based on recall and F1-score,respectively.

Fine-grained Energy-efficient Data Center Traffic Scheduling Mechanism Based on Hierarchical Control

With the continuous expansion of the data center, its energy consumption is also increasing. Aiming at the problem that the high redundancy of modern data center network causes low energy-consumption utilization, this paper proposes an energy-saving traffic scheduling algorithm (IMV-MLF) based on improved multi-layer-virtual-topology combined with maximum link-utilization path priority, which realizes more fine-grained control of each layer of virtual topology in data center network. Firstly, the relevant shap-ing linear programming mathematical model is established according to the optimization goal of energy conservation, which can minimize the energy consumption of the whole network as far as possible under the premise of meeting all network-flow requirements;Then, according to the optimization goal, the existing SDN based energy saving multi-layer-virtual-topology (EMV-SDN) method is improved. Whether the network devices in other layers are enabled is determined by the overall traffic level rather than the traffic level of a single link. On the basis of the opened level, the newly arrived network flows are preferentially allocated to the path with the highest link utilization, and overload link set is introduced, we can effectively use the available link routes with sufficient residual bandwidth to reduce congestion when the topology changes by marking the links whose link utilization reaches the critical value, and further count and close the links and switches which no network flows pass through. The experimental results show that the performance of IMV-MLF algorithm is better than multi-layer virtual topology energy saving (EMV-SDN) algorithm and the equivalent multipath (ECMP) algorithm in saving network energy. This result is helpful to provide another new idea for energy conservation of data center. © 2023, Journal of Network Intelligence.

The sign language functions as a method of communication for people who are deaf and mute, utilizing recognized signs or bodily gestures to convey meanings. It incorporates shapes, hand movements, directions, and facial expressions. A single sign not only represents a word but also communicates a particular tone. For many deaf individuals, verbal communication is not an option, and they may also face challenges in reading and writing. Consequently, the development of a sign language translation system, or more precisely, a sign language recognition (SLR) system, holds significant importance in their lives. SLR is highly sought after due to its potential to facilitate communication between those who are deaf and those who hearing individuals. This field represents a crucial area of research within the realm of human-computer interaction studies. To tackle this issue, we employed the DenseNet121 Model. Our approach involved using the DenseNet121 Model alongside a dataset representing the ASL Alphabet, encompassing 24 classes corresponding to English sign language letters (excluding the letters J and Z, which involve movement). The training dataset comprised 27,455 instances, while the test dataset consisted of 7,172 instances. During the training process, we allocated Using 80% of the dataset for training and setting aside the remaining 20% for testing. The outcomes of our proposed model were exceptionally encouraging, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 97% and 96% validation accuracy. This success underscores the potential effectiveness of our model in automatically recognizing American Sign Language gestures, thereby enhancing facilitating communication and access for people who are hearing-impaired. © 2024 IEEE.

Anomalous situations in surveillance videos or images that may result in security issues,such as disasters,accidents,crime,violence,or terrorism,can be identified through video anomaly ***,differentiat-ing anomalous situations from normal can be challenging due to variations in human activity in complex environments such as train stations,busy sporting fields,airports,shopping areas,military bases,care centers,*** learning models’learning capability is leveraged to identify abnormal situations with improved *** work proposes a deep learning architecture called Anomalous Situation Recognition Network(ASRNet)for deep feature extraction to improve the detection accuracy of various anomalous image *** proposed framework has five *** the first step,pretraining of the proposed architecture is performed on the CIFAR-100 *** the second step,the proposed pre-trained model and Inception V3 architecture are used for feature extraction by utilizing the suspicious activity recognition *** the third step,serial feature fusion is performed,and then the Dragonfly algorithm is utilized for feature optimization in the fourth ***,using optimized features,various Support Vector Machine(SVM)and K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN)based classification models are utilized to detect anomalous *** proposed framework is validated on the suspicious activity dataset by varying the number of optimized features from 100 to *** results show that the proposed method is effective in detecting anomalous situations and achieves the highest accuracy of 99.24%using cubic SVM.

A smart city is a digital and intelligent city that uses communication and information technology (ICT) that contains different types of technology methods to meet the needs of current and future generations regarding economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects. Smart cities face many risks in technology, which make their management difficult and easy to attack. The concept of smart cities has emerged as a promising solution to face various urban challenges. In addition, it has been determined that a 38.7 percent increase in smart city risk management significantly increased the number of attacks across the TOE (technology, organization, and environment) categories. The research aims to highlight the role of cybersecurity risk management in smart cities, including preventing threats and the essential attacks that face smart cities. To strengthen the security and resilience of smart cities, it is crucial to comprehend the unique difficulties and dangers related to cybersecurity in these urban environments and take necessary steps accordingly. The primary objective of this research is to enhance the cybersecurity risk management role in smart cities, thereby guaranteeing the sustainable and secure growth of technologically sophisticated metropolitan regions.
