In recent years, support vector machine has become one of the most important classification techniques in pattern recognition, machine learning, and data mining due to its superior classification effect and solid theoretical base. However, its training time will increase dramatically as the number of samples increases, and training will become more sophisticated when dealing with problems involving multiple classifications. A quick training data reduction approach MOIS appropriate for multi-classification tasks is presented as a solution for the aforementioned issues. While eliminating redundant training samples, the boundary samples that play a vital role are chosen in order to considerably reduce training data and the problem of unequal distribution between categories. The experimental results demonstrate that MOIS may maintain or even improve the classification performance of support vector machines while substantially enhancing training efficiency. On the Opt digit dataset, the suggested method improves classification accuracy from 98.94% to 99.05%, while training time is reduced to 15% of the original;in HCL2000, the proposed method improves classification accuracy from 98.94% to 99.05%. When the accuracy rate is marginally increased (from 99.29% to 99.30%) on the first 100 categories dataset, the training time is dramatically reduced to less than 6% of the original. Recently, smart cities have become more and more popular as a way to enhance society and the standard of living for its people. These are the results of the increased social and economic prospects that the advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has brought about. But there are certain issues with our presumptions about privacy and security. The usage of cellphones and other technologies has already enhanced people’s engagement and sense of connection. Gadgets, smart energy meters, and security appliances are commonplace these days. The Internet of Things will soon be fully connected to homes, public spaces, healthcare systems, and other social institutions. In this work, we improve the security performance of communication networks in smart cities by implementing a novel framework and scheme to guarantee strong data secrecy and authentication. The smart city system can set up shared session key procedures and mutual authentication to secure a two-way communication channel between the control center and smart meters. Our comprehensive simulation was used to test and evaluate the security performance of the smart city communication network both with and without our suggested technique. Throughput, latency, load, and traffic received packets per second were all measured. The resources available in our suggested solution were further limited by the fact that we used a network intrusion detection system (NIDS) and a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack to evaluate and validate the security criteria. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This study explores the integration of the AI-powered adaptive learning system within the flipped classroom model and discusses programming education. The increasing demand for the acquisition of programming skills in the digital era generates the development of innovative pedagogical approaches to help students overcome the difficulties in mastering programming concepts. The study investigates how AI-based adaptive feedback influences student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. This study was conducted for 13 weeks, with two groups of undergraduate students. In one of the groups, tshe traditional flipped classroom model was applied, while in the other group, AI-driven adaptive learning tools were introduced. In this research methodology, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, integrating quantitative analyses with qualitative data. These showed that the experimental group demonstrated significant improvements in learning results and motivation, thereby realiszing the value of real-time, personalized feedback provided through the AI system. The qualitative findings revealed that with the AI system, there was an increase in student autonomy;thus, there is increased responsibility among students to collaborate in in-class participation, which helps enhance a more dynamic and cooperative learning environment. On the whole, these findings reveal important implications of the integration of AI into flipped classrooms, while at the same time, they reveal how to make the modernization of programming education achieve a better overall experience in student learning. © 2025 The Authors

The article proposes models of the structural reliability of a multipath routing network with the possibility of its reconfiguration when switching path segments. The models are focused on optimizing the placement of segment switching nodes, aimed at achieving maximum network performance with the option of connecting request sources to the available communication paths with servers. The study considers the options for connecting each source of requests with one of the paths or with all paths for connecting to servers. The paper shows the existence of an optimal placement of path switching nodes, in which the maximum reliability of the system is achieved.

Data compression is a trending field that is used in data storage and data transmission systems. Lossy compression means that data cannot be completely retrieved while in lossless compression the compressed data must be reconstructed exactly. Lossless data compression is used in compressing binary files, telemetry data and high-fidelity medical and scientific images where details are crucial. There is no generic compression algorithm that gives best compression ratio on all data pattern. In this paper, we propose a hybrid lossless hardware architecture that compresses most of data patterns such as repeated data, Gaussian distribution data and images. A profiling-before-compressing and then choosing the right compression hardware is proposed. The proposed design is a highly parallelized architecture that can compress/decompress 64 bytes/cycle with minor overhead. Moreover, it provides high compression ratio on small block sizes as well as large ones.

The article explores the possibility of improving the reliability of a network with multipath routing. A feature of the proposed study is the analysis of the influence of the placement of switching nodes that switch path segments on the probability of network connectivity with servers of the same type and heterogeneous in functionality. The purpose of the article is to increase the reliability of the network, taking into account the influence of the placement of communication nodes that implement the switching of route segments during reconfiguration, on the connectivity of the network with servers that are homogeneous and heterogeneous in functionality. The research involves the construction of a structural reliability model that takes into account the possibility of failures of both communication nodes and the links between them. The reliability model is built taking into account the availability of request sources with full and non-full access connections to the set of network paths.

Research in Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots navigation has demonstrated some success in navigating flat indoor environments while avoiding obstacles. But in common resilience to unsafe conditions, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomous mobile robots have wide applications in security reconnaissance, investigation of an obscure domain, and crisis reaction. Various examinations have been directed on the driving mechanism, motion planning, and trajectory tracking strategies for robots, yet restricted investigations have been led with respect to the obstacle detection and avoiding ability of robots. However, for little scale robots that contain sensitive surveillance sensors and can't afford to utilize heavy defensive shells, the nonappearance of obstacle avoidance solutions arrangements would leave the robot helpless before possibly risky hindrances. In this paper, we present an algorithm for obstacle detection and avoidance system has been developed for miniature Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and autonomous mobile robots. We show an investigation differentiating heading build rules and relative course directions dodging distinctive operators in multi-specialist conditions, estimating separation between the two robots. The integration of distance measurement and avoiding other robots or obstacles is our observation in a multi-robot environment, where obstacles are also available. In this paper, we have discussed two algorithms, one will try to avoid other robot or obstacles and another will try to measure the distance between main agents to another agent. It utilizes an algorithm so that the system is both compact and power efficient. The proposed system can detect not only the presence, but also the approaching direction of a ferromagnetic obstacle. Android applications are getting bigger with an increasing number of features. However, not all the features are needed by a specific user. The unnecessary features can increase the attack surface and cost additional resources (e.g., storage and memory). Therefore, it is important to remove unnecessary features from Android applications. However, it is difficult for the end users to fully explore the apps to identify the unnecessary features, and there is no off-the-shelf tool available to assist users to debloat the apps by themselves. In this work, we propose AutoDebloater to debloat Android applications automatically for end users. AutoDebloater is a web application that can be accessed by end-users through a web browser. In particular, AutoDebloater can automatically explore an app and identify the transitions between activities. Then, AutoDebloater will present the Activity Transition Graph to users and ask them to select the activities they do not want to keep. Finally, AutoDebloater will remove the activities that are selected by users from the app. We conducted a user study on five Android apps downloaded from three categories (i.e., Finance, Tools, and Navigation) in Google Play and F-Droid. The results show that users are satisfied with AutoDebloater in terms of the stability of the debloated apps and the ability of AutoDebloater to identify features that are never noticed before. AI's revolutionary potential in higher education is examined in this proposal, including how it could revolutionize teaching, learning, administration, and research. Adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, and virtual learning assistants may change how students learn by improving engagement, providing quick feedback, and enabling tailored learning. The suggested process includes preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training. Preprocessing involves de-anonymizing, tokenizing, and removing punctuation, spaces, and numbers before analysis. The linear transformation method PCA extracts features. Training the systems uses the RF -SVM approach, which combines the advantages of RF and SVM. The suggested RF -SVM model beats two RF and SVM models with an average accuracy of 90.39 *** improves resource use, strategic decision-making, and research capacity in university management. The RF-SVM model's success in academia highlights the practicality of AI-driven solutions.

Today, with the digital world in its full swing, strong password management is key to protecting sensitive information from both internal and external threats. The current research explores the passwords managing behavior of the IT students at the University of Dunaujvaros. A survey made in May 2024 questioned 68 students, 59 males and 9 females, about behaviors such as using passwords with complexity, not repeating them for multiple accounts or machines, changing them regularly, and which applications they use for password management. The findings have depicted that, as a whole, students appear to be moderately sensitive about the password security instructions. Nonetheless, most continue to indulge in unsafe practices, including easily remembered or weak passwords and infrequent password changes. Furthermore, approximately half of the responders use password management applications, indicating room for significant improvement in the future. The results suggest that intervention and special education measures should be taken to enhance the practice of password security among future IT experts. This research has good potential to contribute toward strategies designed for people behaving safely in password management, and hence promote a secure digital environment.
