In this paper, the algorithms for the numerical determination of electrophysical properties of drilling mud invasion zones in the formation during well drilling are presented. This problem is considered as one of the stages in solving the multiphysics problem of the electromagnetic monitoring of the drilling fluid invasion. The purpose of the study is to develop a technique to obtain the effective values of electrical conductivity based on a set of numerically determined saturations for fluid components. The electrical characteristics of fluid components in separate, formation layers' porosity and the rock matrix properties are known. These effective electrical conductivities are then used in numerical modeling of the electromagnetic signal responses in the borehole to identify the colmatation processes in the near-well bottom zone. The finite element method and its non-conformal modifications are used in all steps of numerical simulation both for fluid dynamics and electromagnetic problems, including the Discontinuous Galerkin method and the heterogeneous multiscale finite element method.

Partial or major roadmending is performed on the roads annually. To assess the quality of the work performed, samples are extracted from the laid roadbed and tested in a laboratory. However, the road's integrity is not always restored. The development of a non-contact quality control methodology for paved roads without extracting samples for analysis is an extremely urgent task. The paper presents a numerical study of effective properties of the synthetic samples with internal geometry and electrophysical properties of the components close to the properties of real road pavement samples. the laboratory analysis of which allows to speak about the quality of road repair works. The authors propose a mathematical framework for determining the effective electrophysical characteristics of a heterogeneous medium. The effective characteristic is introduced as a second-rank tensor describing both the effective dielectric permittivity of a complex medium and its electrical conductivity. The simulation is performed in the MHz frequency domain. Two types of mineral filler grades of asphalt concrete mix are considered in this paper: crushed granite and crushed gabbro. The results of numerical simulations showed the dependence on the grade of crushed stone used, as well as on the volume fraction of mineral filler in the asphalt concrete mass. This indicates that it is possible to identify the granulometric content of the road surface.

Nowadays, everyone knows Wi-Fi. The technology that ensures connection of computer equipment. It is now positioned as the easiest way to interconnect multiple end users because It allows user mobility in workspaces, avoids cable clutter within the network coverage, such as offices, homes and so on. Despite these advantages, several scientific studies have shown that this technology can raise security and safety issues and is dangerous to human health, and therefore not suitable for hospital networks. In an attempt to overcome these difficulties, Li-Fi technology based on visible light is beginning to interest researchers. This technology is considered more secure than Wi-Fi because the light can be contained in a physical space and waves can’t pass through walls and other objects. Unfortunately, when the physical environment contains spaces that can escape light to the outdoors, this can be a security risk for Li-Fi because it uses light sources to transmit data. That why, in this paper, the main differences between Wi-Fi and Li-Fi technologies are explained, and a Li-Fi architecture provided with an authentification captive portal and a data transfer security mechanism between end users based on the AES algorithm is proposed. The developed prototype and the architecture proposed guarantee the security of the Li-Fi network even if the physical environment is provided with multiple light escape spaces.

This paper deals with an artificial neural network for solving problems that would argue impossible or difficult by statistical or human standards. The article presents the analysis of virtual communities to their characteristics and components. The main goal is analysis of authorized members of virtual communities which are in the forums. It was a question of a big amount of data which have to be processed. After thorough research it was selected Kohonen neural network to deal with this issue. This computational method has self-learning capabilities that enable them to produce better results as more information becomes available to represent the operation of the algorithm. A model was built as a function modeling methodology for describing functions, decisions and activities of a system. The advantages and disadvantages of presented algorithm has been provided. Based on the research data, the results were optimized and forecasted. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

This work deals with the problem of reconstructing the thermal conductivity coefficient of ice-gas- hydrate rocks. It is proposed to use the results of direct mathematical simulation of heat transfer processes in a heterogeneous porous medium with different phase composition, and the principles of energy conservation law. The results of high-resolution X-ray tomography are applied to construct a digital model of the gas-hydrate-containing medium using machine learning procedure and special thresholding methods. A discrete geometrical model of the digital model is constructed by methods based on adapted symplectic partitions. In contrast to existing solutions to the above problem, our approach is not based on the application of phenomenological reduced models. We apply continuum models of the medium under study, and the heat transfer process. This approach makes it possible to obtain physically relevant results for determining the thermal conductivity coefficient of a heterogeneous medium using its digital analogue. The influence of the phase composition and contrast of the thermal characteristics on the value of thermal conductivity coefficient of ice-gas-hydrate-containing samples is presented.

In the current context, social internet services play a leading role in various types of mass media. However, in the case of spreading destructive content with the aim of informational-psychological influence on the actors, social internet services can have a negative influence on the social and political processes in the country. The article summarizes and systematizes the effects created in virtual communities as a result of the implementation of threats to the information security of the state. We have originated the model for evaluating the informational-psychological impact on actors in the textual content of social networking services based on conditional entropy. The model takes into account not only the destructive informational-psychological impact from the content source in social internet services but also the increase of the destructive influence as a result of processing and further distribution of the content by other actors of virtual communities. This approach allows increasing the efficiency of detection of threats to the information security of the state in the information space of social networking services. The developed model can be used for the implementation of individual modules of the state information security system in order to automate the detection of threats in the information space and increase its efficiency. The main tasks confirming the scientific novelty and practical value of this paper are the development, improvement and research of methods and technologies for constructing the Smart Home system. In this work, an intelligent home network monitoring system is developed, which is divided into subsystems for controlling electrical and electro-mechanical devices. A method has been developed for measuring the distance between wireless sensors in a smart home system, in order to determine the point of occurrence of an emergency situation. An algorithm for 'bypassing' wireless sensor devices in a smart home system has been developed and studied, which allows it to function in areas of lack of direct visibility. A concept has been developed for placing sensors and ensuring the stable functioning of systems, which allows for timely response to emergency situations. © 2020 IEEE.

Problems of research of underground gas storage (UGS) wells are given. The analysis of the results of well research is carried out and the constant variability of filtration resistance coefficients of bottomhole zones of wells is substantiated. Studies of the influence of bottomhole pressures of wells on the calculated pressure at gas gathering stations (GGS) of underground storage facilities have been carried out. It was found that the calculated filtration resistance coefficients do not allow to calculate the pressures at the gas gathering stations of the underground storage plant with sufficient accuracy. The magnitude of the discrepancy between the measured and calculated pressures on the GGS varies depending on the flow rate and operating time of wells. It is established that the calculation of depression (repression) of pressure in the bottomhole zones of wells in non-stationary conditions of their operation gives underestimated results.

Seismic assessment of an urban environment is a time-consuming and complicated task that also requires considerable financial resources. In this paper, we suggest an approach to the seismic evaluation of urban buildings based on data mining methods. Regarding this topic, researches have been conducted on 163 typical objects with 19 different features including various types of buildings. The k-means method was used to create clusters of similar objects, it also allowed us to determine dependencies between data. More accurate clustering models were obtained using a hierarchical algorithm. The quality of the proposed methods was evaluated to ensure the reliability of the obtained results. © 2020 ACM.

ABCSS: A novel approach for increasing the TCP congestion window in a network

Congestion control is a useful task to be taken into account in order to maintain a good traffic in a network. In the case of a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) network, congestion creates queues in routers and even packet rejection. It is the reason why research have been conducted to improve congestion control mechanisms. Nowadays, several TCP congestion algorithms have been implemented. However, with the technology evolution and the need in terms of traffic capacity, various mechanisms implemented by these algorithms have shown their limitations and still need to be improved. The aim of this paper is to develop a novel TCP congestion control approach based on two famous algorithms: Appropriate Byte Counting (ABC) and Slow Start (SS). The results obtained show that ABC increases the congestion window appropriately compared to Slow Start. However, the congestion window remains invariant during the first round trips, which causes the TCP burst phenomenon. The TCP splitting can cause buffer overflows and long queues. For theses shortcomings, we propose ABCSS as a novel approach that appropriately increase the TCP congestion window and minimize the TCP splitting problem. The simulations of ABCSS algorithm provide interesting results compared to some known algorithms.
