Extracting valuable information frombiomedical texts is one of the current research hotspots of concern to a wide range of *** biomedical corpus contains numerous complex long sentences and overlapping relational triples,making most generalized domain joint modeling methods difficult to apply effectively in this *** a complex semantic environment in biomedical texts,in this paper,we propose a novel perspective to perform joint entity and relation extraction;existing studies divide the relation triples into several steps or ***,the three elements in the relation triples are interdependent and inseparable,so we regard joint extraction as a tripartite classification *** the same time,fromthe perspective of triple classification,we design amulti-granularity 2D convolution to refine the word pair table and better utilize the dependencies between biomedical word ***,we use a biaffine predictor to assist in predicting the labels of word pairs for relation *** model(MCTPL)Multi-granularity Convolutional Tokens Pairs of Labeling better utilizes the elements of triples and improves the ability to extract overlapping triples compared to previous ***,we evaluated our model on two publicly accessible *** experimental results show that our model’s ability to extract relation triples on the CPI dataset improves the F1 score by 2.34%compared to the current optimal *** the DDI dataset,the F1 value improves the F1 value by 1.68%compared to the current optimal *** model achieved state-of-the-art performance compared to other baseline models in biomedical text entity relation extraction.

In the realm of education, the pursuit of effective learning outcomes often faces the challenge of limited resources. This paper explores the intersection of maximizing learning outcomes and minimizing costs through a cost-effective approach to mobile learning (m-learning). Recognizing the ubiquitous presence of mobile devices and their potential to revolutionize learning, this study explores strategies that leverage the capabilities of mobile technology while being mindful of budgetary constraints. By leveraging the flexibility and accessibil- ity offered by m-learning platforms, educators can design engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse learners needs. The paper investigates various cost-effective methodologies, including utilizing open-source software, repurposing existing resources, and adopting collaborative learning environments. Furthermore, it examines the role of scalable technologies and adaptive learning algorithms in optimizing resource allocation and per- sonalizing learning experiences. Through case studies and empirical analysis, this research illustrates how institutions and educators can achieve significant cost savings without com- promising the quality of educational delivery. Ultimately, the findings highlight the transfor- mative potential of a cost-effective approach to m-learning in enhancing learning outcomes and widening access to education. © 2024 by the authors of this article.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of the essential components of a multi-hop cyber-physical system comprising many fixed or moving sensors. There are many common attacks in WSN, which can quickly harm a WSN system. In this manuscript, Dual Interactive Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network (DIWGAN) with war strategy optimization (WSO) algorithm is introduced for detecting intrusion in WSN. Initially, the input data is attained from the NSL-KDD and CICIDS2017 datasets. The data is then passed onto Morphological filtering and Extended Empirical wavelet transformation (MFEEWT) based pre-processing. After that, the filtered data is sent to the DIWGAN, which detects the intrusion and classifies the fraud data in the network. Additionally, the WSO algorithm is introduced to enhance the classification parameters of DIWGAN. By then the performance of the proposed DIWGAN-WSO-IDS methodology is evaluated using Python Platform. Also, the performance of the proposed methodology is calculated using various metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, f-measure, mean square error, and attack detection rate. Thus, the proposed technique has attained 29.87%, 31.7%, and 26.8% higher accuracy, 23.54%, 20.09%, and 26.98% higher recall, 12.76%, 10.96%, and 6.7% higher precision. And 6.85%, 4.56%, and 8.56% lower MSE than the existing techniques like BFSGSRF, MHICA-SSA, and CNN-LSTM methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

A Multi-Agent Proximal Policy Optimized Joint Mechanism in mmWave HetNets with CoMP Toward Energy Efficiency Maximization

A novel cluster-based traffic offloading and user association (UA) algorithm alongside a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (DRL) based base station (BS) activation mechanism is proposed in this paper. Our design aims to maximize the energy efficiency (EE) of the heterogeneous network (HetNet) while maintaining high quality of service (QoS). By taking advantage of the dense deployment of BSs in a HetNet, a clustering algorithm is first proposed to facilitate traffic offloading among BSs. Then, a multi-agent proximal policy optimization (MAPPO) based DRL algorithm is employed to trigger the BS activation decision based on the current environmental condition. Finally, a UA algorithm is deployed to improve further the (normalized) data rate of all users, known as the (normalized) sum rate. Via simulation, we show that our proposed mechanism can remarkably enhance the EE and excel over the closely related mechanisms. It satisfies the required data rate, improves the sum rate, and exhibits excellent scalability when many BSs are deployed. © 2017 IEEE.

The ternary logic has a benefit over the binary logic which provides a secured solution to achieve a trade-off between the area and power of the design. However, from the structure of the ternary Aritmetic Logic Unit (ALU), it is clear that its architecture increases the area, propagation delay, and power consumption. To overcome this drawback, a loopback algorithm is proposed to achieve low power and high throughput Internet of Things (IoT) processors. The loopback algorithm reduces the number of processing stages in multipliers and adders which can significantly reduce area and power dissipation. The proposed 2:1 multiplexer-based approach reduces the need for a decoder and results in low power consumption. The proposed design will be implemented in Xilinx ISE 13.0 and simulation will be done in Modelsim. The modified Ternary ALU (TALU) performs finer than the previous TALU method. The number of registers used in this architecture is reduced by up to 25% than the existing system therefore there is a reduction in power dissipation. © (2024), (International Hellenic University - School of Science). In recent times, drastic climate changes have caused a substantial increase in the growth of crop diseases. This causes large-scale demolition of crops, decreases cultivation, and eventually leads to the financial loss of farmers. Due to the rapid growth in a variety of diseases and adequate knowledge of farmers, identification, and treatment of the disease have become a major challenge. The leaves have texture and visual similarities which are attributes for the identification of disease type. Hence, computer vision employed with deep learning provides a way to solve this problem. In this research work, a novel voting-based ensembled-deep-learning paradigm is developed for crop disease detection. Initially, the collected raw images are pre-processed via Laplacian Filter and morphological operations. From, the pre-processed image, the ROI region is identified using K-means Clustering. Then, from the ROI regions, the features like texture feature (Chi-squared Local Binary Pattern (CLBP)), Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT), Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM)), color features, and shape features are extracted. Then, the optimal features are selected by using Self-Improved Coyote Optimization Algorithm (SI-COA) is an extended version of the standard Coyote Optimization Algorithm (COA) and is a metaheuristic for optimization that is inspired by the canis latrans species. For crop disease detection, the voting-based ensembled-deep-learning paradigm was used which includes the Attention-based Bi-LSTM, Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and Optimized Deep Neural Networks (O-DNN). The weight of DNN is optimized via Self-Improved Coyote Optimization Algorithm (SI-COA). A QoS-aware routing approach for Internet of Things-enabled wireless sensor networks in smart cities

In the Internet of Things (IoT), optimizing machine performance through data analysis and improved connectivity is pivotal. Addressing the growing need for environmentally friendly IoT solutions, we focus on "green IoT." Quality in smart cities heavily relies on efficient data gathering and communication. In this study, we propose a novel software architecture tailored for data collection and communication in IoT-enabled smart applications, emphasizing sustainability from the outset. Specifically, for smart cities utilizing IoT-enabled wireless sensor networks, we introduce a Quality of Service (QoS)-aware routing strategy. In the data collection phase, we employ Chaotic Bird Swarm Optimization (CBSO) for creating IoT sensor clusters, accompanied by Improved Differential Search (IDS) to assess the reliability of individual sensor nodes, ultimately designating the most trusted node as the Cluster Head (CH). In the data transport phase, we implement lightweight signcryption to enhance the security of IoT sensor data. Furthermore, we employ an Optimal Data Routing (ODM) approach to compute the most efficient data transmission paths between source and destination nodes within the IoT network. Finally, the performance of our QoS-aware routing strategy is evaluated through network simulations using NS2 and compared against existing approaches, offering valuable insights into its effectiveness and suitability for smart city IoT applications. The main findings of the study indicate that the proposed QoS-aware routing strategy (QOS-AWARE ROUTING) consistently outperforms existing routing algorithms in terms of energy efficiency, network longevity, and latency, both in scenarios with varying sensor node density and over multiple cycles. Additionally, it demonstrates significant advantages, such as up to 90.8% less energy consumption, 66.8% longer network lifespan, and 80.1% reduced latency when compared to the benchmarked methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to S
