Interconnected medical devices are the foundation of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), which enables data driven decision-making and real-time health monitoring. Ensuring the security and integrity of medical data exchanged within the IoMT framework is crucial for maintaining patient privacy and the reliability of healthcare services. An extensive examination of the use of Fan-shaped Physically Unclonable Functions (Fan PUFs) in the context of IoMT is presented in this paper. Fan PUFs provide a special and safe method of device authentication and data protection by taking advantage of the variations in signal delays found in digital circuits. This study assesses the efficacy of Fan PUFs in offering strong security mechanisms for IoMT devices by conducting a thorough analysis of them. Resistance to cloning, response variability, and adaptability to the dynamic IoMT are all evaluated in this analysis. Additionally, the authors examine possible obstacles and suggest ways to overcome them in order to maximise the use of Fan PUFs in IoMT scenarios. Our research adds to the expanding corpus of information that aims to improve IoMT ecosystem security architecture and encourage the reliable implementation of connected medical devices. © 2024 IEEE.

In the present time, social networks have become a quintessential part of people's lives, by transforming how people connect and communicate. Social networks have become an important medium for information diffusion and social interactions. The rate of diffusion often depends upon network topology, influencing power of the initial adopters and the underlying node activation criteria. Most real-world social networks are weighted in nature, with edge weights representing the tie strength between the two connected nodes. In our research, we explore and analyze the performance of popular diffusion models in weighted social networks. The performance of 4 prevalent diffusion models, namely - Independent Cascade, Weighted Cascade, Trivalency and Linear Threshold, is compared with regards to the attained spread of information. The study was performed on 2 real-world weighted social networks. © 2024 IEEE.

Vision Studio aims to utilize a diverse range of modern deep learning and computer vision principles and techniques to provide a broad array of functionalities in image and video processing. Deep learning is a distinct class of machine learning algorithms that utilize multiple layers to gradually extract more advanced features from raw input. This is beneficial when using a matrix as input for pixels in a photo or frames in a video. computer vision is a field of artificial intelligence that teaches computers to interpret and comprehend the visual domain. The main functions implemented include deepfake creation, digital ageing (de-ageing), image animation, and deepfake detection. Deepfake creation allows users to utilize deep learning methods, particularly autoencoders, to overlay source images onto a target video. This creates a video of the source person imitating or saying things that the target person does. Digital aging utilizes generative adversarial networks (GANs) to digitally simulate the aging process of an individual. Image animation utilizes first-order motion models to create highly realistic animations from a source image and driving video. Deepfake detection is achieved by using advanced and highly efficient convolutional neural networks (CNNs), primarily employing the EfficientNet family of models. © 2024 by the authors of this article. A compact triple band muscle implantable antenna is realized at 1.86 GHz, 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz for wireless power transfer (WPT) and bio-telemetry applications. The proposed antenna is made multi-band and compact by loading the top patch with slits and modified Hilbert curve shaped slots. The physical volume of the antenna is 10 × 10 × 0.54 mm3 where profile of the antenna is 0.003λ0 at the lowest resonance frequency. The proposed antenna avoids any use of shorting pin that makes it simple and stable polarized structure for biomedical communication. Moreover, the antenna can be safely used for an maximum input power of 3.5 mW. The performance of the fabricated antenna is measured in the muscle gel environment. A decent agreement of the return loss response is observed amongst the human hand model, phantom model and the invitro environment. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a single-layer multi-band polarization converting metasurface for both cross and circular polarization conversion. This proposed multi-band polarization converting metasurface (MPCM) behaves as a reflective-type linear-to-cross polarization converter with a minimum 90% polarization conversion ratio (PCR) over the frequency bands of 3.43 − 3.45 GHz, 3.75 − 3.81 GHz, and 4.72 − 4.82 GHz. On the other hand, for a linearly polarized incident wave on the MPCM, the reflected wave would be circularly polarized for the frequency bands of 3.41−3.42 GHz, 3.46−3.50 GHz, 3.67−3.73 GHz, 3.84−3.91 GHz, 4.55−4.67 GHz, and 4.87−4.97 GHz. The MPCM unit cell consists of two diagonally placed square-shaped rings joined by a meandered microstrip line on the top of a metal-backed Rogers RT5870 substrate. The unit cell is compact with periodicity 0.158λ0 × 0.158λ0 and low profile with a thickness of 0.018λ0. The proposed MPCM offers a promising platform for applications in radar cross-section reduction, communication systems, and remote sensing technologies. © 2024 IEEE.

Efficient navigation of emergency response vehicles (ERVs) through urban congestion is crucial to life-saving efforts, yet traditional traffic systems often slow down their swift passage. In this work, we introduce Dynamic Priority Signalling System (DyPSS), an intelligent, multi-layered traffic management solution designed to minimize ERV delays by creating "green corridors"at traffic signals. Using technologies like fog computing, cloud computing, global positioning system and deep learning, DyPSS adjusts traffic lights instantly to clear congestion as an ERV approaches. Simulation testing was conducted using SUMO and it demonstrated DyPSS's potential to significantly reduce ERV travel time in dense urban settings with minimal disruption to general traffic flow. This system could drastically improve emergency response by reducing delays and helping responders reach their destinations faster, potentially saving more lives. © 2025 IEEE.

Cybersecurity prevents harmful assaults on computers, networks, and mobile devices. Included in the category of cyber-attacks are threats like as malware, distributed denial of service assaults, phishing, spoofing, code injection, and supply chain attacks. Massive denial-of-service assaults are destructive. As part of a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) assault, hackers bypass botnets and go straight for the server. In order to temporarily block or suspend a website, these botnets send a flood of requests to the server. The server typically takes requests and returns responses. There will be a brief outage if the server gets more requests than it can handle. While this attack makes the service inaccessible, it prevents data theft. A machine-learning approach is used to detect server-side DDoS assaults. The term 'machine learning' refers to software that can learn new tasks and solve old ones without any input from a human. Learning Vector Quantization, Support Vector Machine, Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbour, Random Forest, and Decision Tree are the six ML classification models used since these ML procedures enhance accuracy. The main goal of this research is to use the CIDAD dataset to find ways to protect the application layer of the Internet of Things (IoT) against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. The lower layers of the IoT network architecture are disregarded by this dataset, which comprises information at the COAP level. © 2024 IEEE.

In this work, we investigate the impact of channel doping density variation on the radio frequency (RF) performance of Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs) SOI-FinFETs. The FinFET architecture offers unique advantages for RF applications due to its superior electrostatic control and reduced short-channel effects. By modulating the doping density in the channel region, we aim to optimize device performance for RF applications. Through extensive simulations, we demonstrate significant improvements in key RF metrics such as cutoff frequency (fT), transconductance frequency product (TFP), maximum oscillation frequency (fMAX), gain transconductance frequency product (GTFP) and gain frequency product (GFP). Thus, emerging trends and challenges in leveraging InGaAs-SOI-FinFET for RF applications, include considerations for circuit design, process integration, and reliability. Our findings also reveal the critical role of channel doping density in achieving enhanced RF performance in InGaAs-SOI-FinFETs, offering valuable insights for the design and optimization of future high-frequency electronic devices.. © 2024 IEEE.
