This paper presents link prediction of Linked Open Data (LOD) by Multiple Label Propagation Algorithm (MLPA). The current LOD do not have enough links. Therefore, the LOD have not been able to exert so much semantic characteristics. In order to solve this problem, we proposed the MLPA considering semantic distance. The MLPA can expand potential links of each data contained in the LOD. The experimental result of the MLPA shows the good performance and the validity of this algorithm is confirmed.

A new companding function is proposed for non-uniform indexation of a quadratically interpolated LUT predistorter used in digital predistortion under wideband signals. In digital predistortion, lookup table (LUT) predistorters are the most frequently used technique in order to compensate the non-linear effects of a power amplifier. In this paper, a new companding function of a quadratically interpolated LUT predistorter is designed in order to reduce the approximation errors of quadratic interpolation which causes the intermodulation (IMD) distortion. Simulation result shows that the proposed technique provides a better rejection of intermodulation distortion compared to quadratic interpolated LUT, linear interpolated LUT and conventional non-linear interpolated LUT predistorters respectively.

Healthcare solutions through the introduction of wearable healthcare devices are benefitting from Internet of Things technology. Though these small form-factor wearable devices promise great benefits, guaranteeing long device operating lifetime is yet the biggest challenge due to high-energy consumption. In this paper, a reduced hardware architecture system-on-chip targeting digital block design was proposed higher energy efficiency. The design has been verified by synthesizing into FPGA and implemented in silicon based on Silterra 180nm process. Results show that the proposed design achieved reduction up to 24% of leakage power and 15% of dynamic power reduction over reference design. In addition, 24.3% of excessive area was reduced by using the proposed reduced hardware architecture technique.

An optimized k-means clustering algorithm for CMP systems based on data set partition

Since entering into the era of multi-core CPU, because the traditional K-means clustering algorithm isn't designed focus on parallelization very well, which can't fully utilize the parallel computing power of the multi-core CPU, redesigning of the traditional K-means clustering algorithm parallel and studying the method of using modern multi core CPU have become an important research topic nowadays in order to improve the clustering efficiency of massive data set. A novel algorithm named CMP-K-means is proposed in this paper. This algorithm decomposes the original K-means clustering process and designs independent and balanced clustering sub-tasks scheduled by thread pool, which can make use of the computing power of modern multi-core CPU. The experimental results show that the CMP-K-means algorithm obtains a higher multi-core speed-up ratio compared with the original K-means and effectively improves the clustering ability for massive data sets. ©, 2015, Journal of Computational Information systems. Downlink joint processing (JP) between base stations eliminates the inter-cell interference in a cellular system with a frequency reuse factor of one and improves the spectral efficiency of cell-edge users. JP has a huge impact on both feedback and backhaul load, and thus partial JP was presented to tackle with signaling demand. However, achieving equivalent backhaul reduction based on limited feedback channel state information is challenging when linear techniques, such as zero-forcing beamforming (BF) are used, which led to the use of stochastic algorithms instead. Therefore stochastic multi-start particle swarm optimization algorithm (MSPSOA) is proposed in this paper to achieve backhaul reduction and address the issue of lack of diversity, which is related to the basic particle swarm optimization algorithm (BPSOA). The lack of diversity has been solved in this work by replacing the inactive particles adaptively based on a predefined constant which represents the difference between local best and global best optimization criterion. The performance of the proposed MSPSOA and BPSOA BF is evaluated with respect to full and partial JP using different metrics such as sum-rate, actual interference and convergence using a multipath realistic environment WINNER II channel model. The proposed MSPSOA outperforms BPSOA in terms of average sum-rate by 15.3%, while the actual interference decreased by 14.6% in some conducted scenarios.

Heterogeneous network (HetNet) is a promising technology to improve the capacity of future generations of cellular network, in which a mobile station can be served by multiple base stations (BSs) with different scales of coverage range, including short range low power nodes (LPNs). In HetNet, a major challenge is how to provide guaranteed quality-of-service (QoS) for all users. To address this issue, we investigate a practical scenario in which the massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology is adopted by the cooperation of one macro-cell BS and several LPNs. Furthermore, we provide a lightweight channel state information (CSI) acquisition scheme for the implementation. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the signal-to-interference-and noise ratio (SINR) of intended users in LPNs covered with small cells can be significantly increased by this proposed massive MIMO precoding scheme, whereas oppressing the impact on neighboring victim users.

In modern VLSI designs, timing closure has become a challenging and tedious task for the designers due to the fact that the number of design logic gates led to an exponential increase in the number of timing paths. PrimeTime from Synopsys is used to perform Static Timing Analysis and to generate a timing report in the form of large size text file; hence, data analysis is a complex task for the designer. This work presents a web-based text-mining software tool based on text-mining and web-based reporting techniques. It consists of two parts, the Perl software parser file in the user part, while MySQL and Apache servers in the server part. This tool parses Synopsys PrimeTime timing report and provides analysis services for team collaboration, clock skew and path constraints calculations, paths categorization and paths distribution in well-organized tables, and presents data on website pages.

The outage probability of a two-hop coordinated decode-and-forward relay network is investigated. Relay coordination is performed only with the dominant interferer. Different levels of network coordination are studied and their performances are compared. Exact expressions are derived for the outage probability of a particular mobile user for each coordination scheme. Asymptotic outage probability is derived to identify the diversity and coding gains for each coordination scheme.
