—This paper presents an advanced optical sensor based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) designed to detect hyperuricemia, characterized by elevated uric acid (UA) levels. The sensor features a stacked nanocomposite comprising gold-graphene quantum dots (GQD) biofunctionalized with uricase enzyme, ensuring high sensitivity and selectivity for UA detection over other potentially competing interferents like ascorbic acid, glucose, D-cystine, urea, and creatinine commonly found in biological samples. The developed sensor achieves an impressive sensitivity of 0.093◦/(mg/dL) for UA at 12 mg/dL, significantly higher than the recorded sensitivity of 0.015◦/(mg/dL) for all other potential interferents at the same concentration. This highlights the sensor’s exceptional precision in discerning UA. Moreover, the sensor demonstrates notable selectivity for UA even at low concentrations, registering a resonance angle shift of 0.371◦ at 0.5 mg/dL, compared to a lower angle shift of 0.185◦ for other interferents at higher concentrations of 12 mg/dL. These findings emphasize the sensor’s accuracy and rapid response in distinguishing UA, positioning it as a promising tool for early diagnosis and management of hyperuricemia in clinical settings, addressing a critical need for reliable and efficient UA detection. ©2024 IEEE.

Smartphones contain a vast amount of information about their users, which can be used as evidence in criminal cases. However, the sheer volume of data can make it challenging for forensic investigators to identify and use the most relevant information. Neutrosophic logic is a generalization of fuzzy logic that allows for uncertainty and vagueness, making it a more potent tool for dealing with the ambiguity of real-world data. The proposed framework aims to identify and utilize the most relevant information for forensic investigators, making it easier to solve criminal cases using Neutrosophic logic. This novel approach provides a more powerful tool for dealing with the ambiguity of smartphone data, ultimately improving the accuracy and effectiveness of forensic investigations. Our research has utilized Neutrosophic logic to evaluate the degree of truth, falsity, or Indeterminacy of this information. Additionally, this study analyzes conversations between individuals using Excel’s fuzzy lookup add-in to determine the percentage of truth and false in each conversation. The results were compiled into a dataset and utilized a Neutrosophic Python code to evaluate the information. The results indicate the percentage of truth, false, and Indeterminacy in each conversation and which can be used to determine its admissibility as evidence and which not. © 2025, University of New Mexico. In this work, a novel methodological approach to multi-attribute decision-making problems is developed and the notion of Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Set Distance Measures (HNSDM) is introduced. By averaging the Penta-Partitioned Neutrosophic Distance Measures under particular conditional criteria, the suggested technique ranks the options. Additionally, we explore the fundamental characteristics of HNSDM and provide several illustrative theorems. The Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Set Distance Measures are formulated based on the Hepta Neutrosophic Set. The obvious and accelerator trend towards efficient green technology in a modern technological revolution time makes visible light communication (VLC) a solution key to meeting this growth. Besides the illumination function, VLC uses for data transmission at high speed with the lowest cost due to utilizing the infrastructure that already exists. As a result of VLC's multiple features, it had been used in the indoor positioning system (IPS) in many pieces of research to obtain a high accuracy without conflict with the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum besides it providing high security from any penetrating. However, achieving good performance parameters is essential and fundamental in evaluating the effectiveness of any indoor system that many pieces of research neglected and concentrated more on the positioning accuracy aspect. This paper investigates and analyses the performance of the indoor system that is designed and developed based on a VLC and proves its effectiveness through a comprehensive evaluation. Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and path loss are the performance parameters that are investigated in this system by varying the transmitted power, incidence angles, and Lambertian mode number in the line of sight (LOS) scenario. The examined system consists of one light-emitting diode (LED) in a 3D typical room and one photodiode (PD) in different ten locations along the half-diagonal line towards the corner. Utilizing a single LED in this system is important to avoid the interference that occurs when utilizing multiple LEDs;besides, it is more convenient in the indoor environment. The obtained results by MATLAB simulation show the reliable and effective performance of the proposed developed VLC system design by achieving a good SNR with low path loss. Furthermore, the proposed system approach proves how the optimum position of PD is crucial to obtain a strong signal with the lowest ratio of noise and losses. © 2023 IEEE.

Ransomware is one of the most advanced malware which uses high computer resources and services to encrypt system data once it infects a system and causes large financial data losses to the organization and individuals. There are certain automatic ransomware detection and analysis strategies available nowadays. File system analysis reveals some essential patterns and artifacts that can be very useful to understand its behavior spreading mechanism, taxonomy for malware forensics experts. Current trend explores Ransomware as a service (RaaS) and Malware as a service (MaaS) on Darknet. This paper reveals a theory of digital forensic methodology to identify the spreading/infection mechanism and attack path, the cryptographic methodology, windows services, process, APIs, persistence mechanism, and system lockdown strategies and malware analysis methodology. Depression has the potential to impact death rates, particularly when it comes to death by suicide. Inadequate diagnosis may result in a delay or unsuitable therapy, which can worsen symptoms of depression. Unaddressed or insufficiently addressed depression can result in deteriorating mental well-being, which includes a higher risk of experiencing suicidal ideation and engaging in self-destructive actions. Voice analysis can be employed to distinguish between individuals with depression and those without depression. However, the research that has been conducted on voice recognition to distinguish between depressed and non-depressed individuals keeps focusing on the use of a single dataset source as input for the classification model that is being developed. This work utilizes the Vision Transformer model and various pre-trained transformers, such as DeiT (Data-Efficient Image Transformer) and Swin Transformer, to detect depression based on voice. The objective was to create a more generic model not restricted to a specific language. Integrating Mel-spectrogram characteristics with a vision transformer-based model can enhance the efficacy of voice recognition models when dealing with multi-language data. The result shows 21% higher accuracy than the previous study that also implemented a cross-dataset test. Copyright © 2024 held by the owner/author(s). Publication rights licensed to ACM.

Fingerprint authentication is the most sophisticated method of all biometric techniques and has been thoroughly verified through various applications. Fingerprint matching has been done using several fingerprint recognition techniques. The methods for matching fingerprints have changed significantly over time, but Euclidean distance is still widely used since it is efficient and straightforward. Euclidean distance is still used in minutiae-based fingerprint matching to produce accurate results. The computational geometry, image processing, and patter recognition fields all make substantial use of Euclidean distance, a fundamental distance matching approach. The purpose of this work is to highlight the importance of normalization in improving contrast, particularly in noisy fingerprint photographs where accuracy is critical. We analyzed how to make fingerprint matching more robots against a reference template by utilizing Euclidean distance between small spots. The use of batteries as an energy storage medium has a very important role in the installation of renewable energy power plants, such as photovoltaics to overcome intermittency in photovoltaics and to maintain stable power quality. In this study, the installation of solar plants that was used as the research object was a smart micro grid that integrates photovoltaic electrical energy sources with the Utility electricity network for residential scale. The battery monitoring system is used to manage the performance of existing batteries on the electricity grid through analysis of the battery's electrical values such as current, voltage, power and energy, so that it can function optimally in storing electrical energy and supplying electricity to users. Internet of things (IoT) technology is used to provide easy transfer of data obtained through the process of data acquisition to data visualization provided to be accessed by users in real time. This research aims to develop an IoT-based battery monitoring system. The development carried out focuses on the data acquisition process, the data transfer process using IoT technology, the process of analyzing and visualizing data on the IoT cloud and remote access to users. © 2024 IEEE.
