An effective and environmentally friendly charging infrastructure is essential due to the rising popularity of Electric Vehicles (EVs). The proposed system offers an efficient approach to this problem by suggesting a solar charging station for EV incorporating the Internet of Things (IoT). In order to encourage the use of renewable energy and lessen the environmental impact, the system uses solar energy to power EV charging stations. IoT technologies improve the charging station's performance by allowing realtime monitoring and control, remote access and data analytics. Considerations for solar panel layout optimization and energy storage are central to this study's emphasis on the design and execution of a solar-powered EV charging station. In addition, the station can easily respond to changes in demand and grid circumstances thanks to dynamic load control made possible by IoT. This research proves the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed Solar with IoT Charging Station for Electric Vehicles via practical assessment and simulations. The results provide a scalable and long-term answer that promotes a cleaner and greener transportation environment by aiding the development of electric mobility and integrating renewable energy. © 2023 IEEE.

Producing premium beef cattle requires a good quality roughage and feed containing nutritional value appropriate to the age of the cattle. One strategy for producing high-quality beef cattle is smart nutrition management in the feed of fattening. Optimal feed ration for beef cattle is a challenging task under the multiple constrains. Therefore, this research aims to compare the efficiency of 4 optimal methods: SLSQP, COBYLA, Simplex, and Primal-Dual via the 10 beef cattle feed formulas. Using a database from the Bureau of Animal Nutrition Development, department of Livestock Development, by comparing the accuracy and processing time. According to the experimental findings, all strategies produced answers that were equally accurate. However, the time required to process SLSQP is minimal, followed by the Simplex and Primal-Dual. Due to the iteration loop exceeding our limit, COBYLA is negligees. © 2022 IEEE.

This article presents an integrated current mode configurable analog block(CAB)system for field-programmable analog array(FPAA).The proposed architecture is based on the complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)transistor level design where MOSFET transistors operating in the saturation region are *** proposed CAB architecture is designed to implement six of thewidely used current mode operations in analog processing systems:addition,subtraction,integration,multiplication,division,and pass *** functionality of the proposed CAB is demonstrated through these six operations,where each operation is chosen based on the user’s selection in the CAB interface *** architecture of the CAB system proposes an optimized way of designing and integrating only three functional cells with the interface circuitry to achieve the six ***,optimized programming and digital tuning circuitry are implemented in the architecture to control and interface with the functional ***,these designed programming and tuning circuitries play an essential role in optimizing the performance of the proposed *** of the proposed CMOS Transistor Based CAB system is carried out using Tanner EDA Tools in 0.35μm standard CMOS *** design uses a±1.5 V power supply and results in maximum 3 dB bandwidth of 34.9 MHz and an approximate size of 0.0537 *** demonstrates the advantages of the design over the current state-of-the-art designs presented for comparison in this ***,the proposed design has a clear aspect of simplicity,low power consumption,and high bandwidth operation,which makes it a suitable candidate for mobile telecommunications applications.

This paper employing the Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) paradigm provides a model integrating preventive and proactive management strategies to maintain the required service level availability in MultiFunction Device (MFD) offerings. The problems of resource allocation and servicing problems implied by these strategies focus on planning leasing offers that meet an acceptable failure risk level and routing service teams participating in maintenance missions. The aim is to allocate services that provide balanced risk to suppliers and renters, reduce delays, and prioritize urgent cases by routing a fleet of technical vehicles responsible for delivering and receiving service teams without the constraint of requiring the exact vehicle for both operations. The conducted computer experiments demonstrated the effectiveness of the adopted reference model, allowing for increasing PaaS availability and minimizing service costs.

Dual Radial-Resonant Wide Beamwidth Circular Sector Microstrip Patch Antennas

In this article, a design approach to a radial-resonant wide beamwidth circular sector patch antenna is advanced. As properly evolved from a U-shaped d ipole, a prototype magnetic dipole can be fit in the radial direction of a circular sector patch radiator, with its length set as the positive odd-integer multiples of onequarter wavelength. In this way, multiple TM0m（m = 1,2,...） modes resonant circular sector patch antenna with short-circuited circumference and widened E-plane beamwidth can be realized by proper excitation and perturbations. Prototype antennas are then designed and fabricated to validate the design approach. Experimental results reveal that the E-plane beamwidth of a dual-resonant antenna fabricated on air/Teflon substrate can be effectively broadened to 128°/120°, with an impedance bandwidth of 17.4%/7.1%, respectively. In both cases, the antenna heights are strictly limited to no more than 0.03-guided wavelength. It is evidently validated that the proposed approach can effectively enhance the operational bandwidth and beamwidth of a microstrip patch antenna while maintaining its inherent low profile merit.

Speech Recognition focuses on developing advanced technologies that can recognize and translate spoken language into text. Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that captures human voice from a mi-crophone and analyzes it based on spoken words to comprehend natural language. In Ethiopia, ASR models have been developed for specific local languages such as Amharic, Tigrigna, Wolaytta, and Afaan Oromo, but there has been a lack of research on ASR models for the Hadiyyisa language, which is also spoken in Ethiopia. The research study designed and developed an ASR model for the Hadiyyisa language. The researchers collected data from native speakers of the Hadiyyisa language and used Python programming to design and develop the deep learning model for the Hadiyissa ASR model. Different methods and techniques were used in the study to achieve the research objectives and complete the entire research process. The proposed model utilized deep learning algorithms including RNN, LSTM, BiLSTM, and CNN, along with suitable feature extraction techniques such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC). The accuracy of the proposed ASR model was evaluated through experimentation, which demonstrated that the BiLSTM model outperformed the other deep learning models with an overall accuracy of 90.95 % Based on the experimental evidence, the proposed model was found to be better suited for ASR for the Hadiyyisa language. © 2023 IEEE.

This research investigates the attitudes and perceptions of engineering educators in Kerala, India, towards the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) within the framework of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (APJAKTU), Kerala. Despite the growing emphasis on experiential learning, only limited research studies focus on understanding the attitudes and perceptions of engineering faculty members towards PjBL. Against this backdrop, the present study aims to critically examine the readiness of engineering educators in adopting and identifying PjBL strategies for its effective integration into engineering curricula. The paper explores various dimensions of engineering educators' engagement with PjBL, including faculty interest levels, satisfaction of implementation, perceived effectiveness, and career implications. The data were collected from engineering faculty members by distributing a comprehensive questionnaire titled Project-Based Learning in engineering Education in Kerala (PLEEK), uniquely designed by the researchers. The research findings reveal that over 90% of the surveyed faculty members have shown keen interest in implementing PjBL, while the remaining respondents exhibited a neutral stance. This underscores a noteworthy receptivity to PjBL among engineering educators in Kerala. Suggestions from participants indicate that, if implemented correctly, PjBL would be highly effective, although time constraints pose a significant challenge. The results obtained are pivotal as they provide an explicit idea of the current status of the engineering education settings and the discrepancies between traditional theoretical instruction and project-based learning. © 2024 IEEE.

Power transformers are supposed to be an expensive and critical component of a power system and so its schedule maintenance is an important aspect near the utilities. The cellulose paper used as the solid insulating material of the transformer deteriorates regularly due to progressive aging. As a result, it produces several degradation by-products of cellulose insulation into the transformer oil. Furfurals are among the major by-product of cellulose and are exploited to estimate the physical state of the transformer’s dielectric and the electrical insulation directly and noninvasively. In the present work, an intelligent system is proposed and developed that predicts the level of furfural in the transformer oil. The system makes predictions using easily quantifiable parameters, enabling utilities to avoid suffering financial losses. The proposed system employs the Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference system (ANFIS) technique with temperature and moisture as the input and 2-Furfuraldehyde (2-FAL) as the output. An optimum arrangement of the developed model to find accurate outputs has been achieved by the suitable selection of number and types of the membership functions of the network. Also, an exhaustive study is made to optimize the training data points to achieve the accurate predictions at minimum iterations. The proposed system is validated with nine test conditions of temperature and moisture, and the output thus obtained is verified through existing life models in the literature. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
