Development of vehicle safety is the work's primary goal, according to its abstract vehicle in traffic congestion using the Internet of Things (IoT). The intense growth of the city's vehicle population needs intelligent traffic systems to be considered resourcefully and sustainably by enhancing the full advantage of recent technology. The unpredictable traffic flow is a substantial issue that carries a colossal traffic movement in real-time scenarios. The random traffic control systems during peak and non-peak hours with unproductive human possessions, which leads to increased traffic and road offenses due to ineffective traffic monitoring systems. To sort down this dynamic scenario, the self-adaptable machine learning approach has been adopted to sequence the intelligent traffic flow by using IOT based early warning system in vehicles. The proposed work focused on the traffic congestion prediction operationalized using the unsupervised algorithm to train the gathered data sets using a neural network. It also aims to deliver a clarification that will upturn the comfort level of travelers to make intelligent and better transference choices. A neural network is a reasonable approach to finding traffic circumstances in sequence with this, the machine learning algorithms and their accuracy, which practices an outline in the collected data sets and then produces crucial decisions in evidence about traffic flow and congestion levels. The most focused part of the research is to enhance the intelligence in the IoT docking system, which prevents the vehicle congestion and returns a flawless, innovative design. © 2023 IEEE.

Kidney diseases (KD) are a global public health concern affecting millions. Early detection and prediction are crucial for effective treatment. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have been used in KDP to analyze past medical records, applying patients’ Electronic Medical Record (EHR) data. However, conventional statistical analysis methods conflict with fully comprehending the complexity of EHR data. AI algorithms have helped early KDP learn and identify complex data patterns. However, challenges include training heterogeneous historical data, protecting privacy and security, and developing monitoring system regulations. This study addresses the primary challenge of training heterogeneous datasets for real-world evaluation. Early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is crucial for improved outcomes, reduced healthcare costs, and reliable treatment. Early treatments are crucial for CKD, as it often develops without apparent symptoms. Predictive models, particularly those using reinforcement learning (RL), can identify significant trends in complex healthcare information, which standard techniques may struggle with. The study makes KDP more accurate and reliable using RL methods on clinical data. This lets doctors find diseases earlier and treat them better by looking at static and changing health measurements. Machine learning (ML) algorithms can enhance the accuracy of AI systems over time, enhancing their effectiveness in detecting and diagnosing diseases. In the current investigation, the RL-ANN model is implemented for performing enforceable CKD by assessing the outcomes of multiple neural networks, which include FNN, RNN, and CNN, according to parameters such as accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, prediction error, prediction rate, and kidney failure rate (KFR). The recommended RL-ANN method has a lower failure rate of 70% based on the KFR data. Further, the proposed approach earned 95% in PR and 70% in analysis of errors. However, the RL

The monolithic network architectures are used in Bitcoin and other big cryptos. Different hierarchical ways to protect the decentralized blockchain have been discussed to improve its usability. However, no debate in the literature on how an appropriate shard size can be calculated to optimize the output and how deceptive or unreliable nodes can affect the optimum shard size range. This study includes an exchange and authentication scheme for hierarchical blockchain architecture in order to fix these issues. The hierarchy splits the network nodes into many disjoint fragments, with most transfers unregulated between these shards. Taking into account the performance and precision of the transaction validation in the case of malicious or defective nodes, the optimum shard size is calculated. It ensures that most of the good shards are available with the right scale, according to the highest acceptable threshold of defective nodes. It also offers a method to distinguish damaged shards by overlapping a tiny proportion of purchases across all shields and discarding all transactions. The theoretical efficiency analysis and the influence of network sharing on performance were based on experimental findings conducted on Amazon EC-2 nodes. © 2023 IEEE.

The exploitation of finite spectrum resources is being addressed by the new technology known as Cognitive Radio (CR). It has emerged as a potential remedy for the spectrum shortage problem in the following generation of cellular networks by utilizing opportunities in the time, frequency, and spatial domains. Many group-oriented applications that are created for CRAHN deployment have grown significantly in relevance in recent years. Multicasting is a more effective method for enabling applications that rely on group communication. In contrast to traditional wired multicast routing protocols, multicast routing for CRNs must manage a range of challenges, because of the characteristics of CRNs, such as low bandwidth, mobility, and low power. Brain tumor detection and segmentation from multi-parametric magnetic resonance (MR) scans are crucial for the prognosis and treatment planning of brain tumor patients in current clinical practice. With recent technological advancements, artificial intelligence-based deep learning has proven its indispensable image analysis capability in the most challenging tasks. This study proposes an automated WU-Net + + deep learning model for brain tumor segmentation using multiparametric structural MR scans obtained from the BraTS 2018 dataset. The model was validated through cross-dataset testing for intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) classification (ATLAS V2.1 dataset) and multi-organ segmentation from abdominal images of TCIA and BTCV datasets. The WU-Net++ model, a novel version of U-Net, was developed by adjusting its pooling operation as a weighted function of max and average pooling for brain tumor segmentation. The proposed model (WU-Net + +) achieved an F1 score of 0.94 ± 0.124, a dice score of 0.91 ± 0.132, and an AUC value of 0.915 for whole tumor segmentation. The model also achieved a high accuracy of 0.9949 ± 0.121 in ICH classification and dice scores of 0.912 ± 0.21, 0.844 ± 0.25, and 0.893 ± 0.17 for spleen, esophagus, and portal and splenic vein segmentation, respectively. Our study revealed that WU-Net + + has significant potential to improve the accuracy of segmentation and could be an effective method in the era of precision medicine. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

A growing number of software projects makes it increasingly crucial to predict software defects. If adequate historical data are accessible, within-project defect prediction models can be reliable. However, during the early phases of software development, sufficient data are not available to train an effective predictor. Cross-project defect prediction (CPDP) utilizes information from previous mature projects (source data) for predicting whether new software modules (target data) will be defective. CPDP models must take into account the fact that data distributions between source and target projects are different. Cross-project defect prediction often reduces distribution differences by either selecting training data or using transfer learning methods. Using transfer learning effectively reduces distribution differences in recent CPDP models, yet none of them have taken into account the possibility that negative transfer may occur as a result of the imbalanced nature of defect data. In this paper, a four-step model is proposed, of which three steps are dedicated to the preparation of training data and their initial weights for use in the fourth step, which involves an enhanced version of the transfer boosting algorithm. In this algorithm, the imbalance nature of data is considered and the weighting of the source data is updated to enhance the prediction performance. Therefore, aside from reducing distribution discrepancy between source and target data, this model also addresses the issues related to defect data class imbalance. As compared to four state-of-the-art CPDP models, this model provided consistent and accurate predictions for fifteen projects from PROMISE, AEEEM, and SOFTLAB. Our proposed model provided the best average results for both AUC and F-measure and in some datasets, the improvements were more than 5%. © 2022 IEEE.

Machine learning techniques have been have proven to be more effective than conventional extensively used in the creation of intrusion detection systems (IDS) that can swiftly and automatically identify and classify cyber attacks at the host-and network-levels. A scalable solution is needed since destructive attacks are happening so quickly and are changing all the time. For more investigation, the malware community has access to a number of malware databases. The performance of several machine learning algorithms on a range of datasets that were made available to the general public, however, has not yet been thoroughly evaluated by any study. The publicly available malware datasets should be regularly updated and benchmarked due to the dynamic nature of malware and the continuously evolving attacking techniques. In this study, a deep neural network (DNN), a type of deep learning model, is examined in order to create a flexible and efficient IDS to identify and categorise unexpected and unanticipated cyber threats. In order to analyse a variety of datasets that have been produced throughout time using both static and dynamic methodologies, it is vital to take into account the rapid increase in attacks and the constant evolution of network behaviour. It is simpler to select the most effective algorithm for accurately predicting forthcoming cyber attacks with the help of this type of research. Many publicly available benchmark malware datasets are used to offer a thorough review of DNN and other conventional machine learning classifier studies. The KDDCup 99 dataset and the accompanying hyper parameter selection techniques are used to choose the ideal network parameters and topologies for DNNs. A learning rate of [0.01-0.5] is applied to every 1,000-epoch DNN experiment. In response to growing security concerns and the increasing demand for face recognition (FR) technology in various sectors, this research explores the application of deep learning techniques, specifically pre-trained Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models, in the field of FR. The study harnesses the power of five pre-trained CNN models—DenseNet201, ResNet152V2, MobileNetV2, SeResNeXt, and Xception—for robust feature extraction, followed by SoftMax classification. A novel weighted average ensemble model, meticulously optimized through a grid search technique, is introduced to augment feature extraction and classification efficacy. Emphasizing the significance of robust data pre-processing, encompassing resizing, data augmentation, splitting, and normalization, the research endeavors to fortify the reliability of FR systems. Methodologically, the study systematically investigates hyperparameters across deep learning models, fine-tuning network depth, learning rate, activation functions, and optimization methods. Comprehensive evaluations unfold across diverse datasets to discern the effectiveness of the proposed models. Key contributions of this work encompass the utilization of pre-trained CNN models for feature extraction, extensive evaluation across multiple datasets, the introduction of a weighted average ensemble model, emphasis on robust data pre-processing, systematic hyperparameter tuning, and the utilization of comprehensive evaluation metrics. The results, meticulously analyzed, unveil the superior performance of the proposed method, consistently outshining alternative models across pivotal metrics, including Recall, Precision, F1 Score, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), and Accuracy. Notably, the proposed method attains an exceptional accuracy of 99.48% on the labeled faces in the wild (LFW) dataset, surpassing erstwhile state-of-the-art benchmarks. Amidst the backdrop of increased urbanization and shifting climate patterns, this research delves into the growing vulnerability of landscapes to floods. The focus is on storm drain placement, emphasizing the identification of suitable locations and the need to reinforce drainage networks. The analysis takes into account parameters linked to flood sensitivity, including total rainfall, decadal growth rate, and soil types in each district within a state. Leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and relevant Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS), the study integrates a diverse array of datasets to inform precise cartographic projections. The most pressing issue with ITS is minimal latency in communication between vehicles, especially given that unstable traffic flow and road safety are two of their main concerns. Because to these problems, I have concentrated my study on employing a vehicular ad hoc network to track speedy object detection and provide the quickest warning to drivers. These systems require ongoing monitoring to function properly, making it possible to use machine learning techniques on vast amounts of data produced by various VANET applications. Machine learning is a technique used to prevent accidents for emergency vehicles by automatically learning and improving the system's rapid object detection stage in situations with high traffic. Our methods effectively implement the VANET aim by providing efficient unsupervised learning of the collected data. In this research, we suggested a unique real-time (DT-YOLO) algorithm-based automatic discovering vehicle gap approach for detecting and identifying objects in congested metropolitan regions. By using VANET technologies, we were able to address traffic, communication, and safety concerns in metropolitan areas. We investigated, using DT-YOLO technology, how these problems may be resolved in a transparent object-tracking system via machine learning techniques. Fast-moving EVs have a high probability of finding a gap to let the driver to make a decision. Moreover, a case study demonstrating a VANET-based scenario of nearest-object and gap-finding to flee from congested traffic with the ideal vehicle moment is shown.
